I like this idea a lot. It's unique and feels very experimental in the best way possible. I imagine the "one dimension" switching could lead to some very unorthodox types of puzzle designs.

I finished all the levels. An interesting take on platforming. I found it necessary to keep pressing Q just to avoid hitting any spike, maybe it would better to reduce the amount of spike. I also like how you have to use the one dimension to travel around.
I think it would've been nice if you could see just a bit of the area around the the player outside of that thin line, but overall this game was really nice! One of the more well-rounded ones I've played
To echo the comments you've already gotten, I think there's some really great opportunities for puzzles here! Fun concept and great work! :D
A really nice take on the "only one dimension" theme! Oh, and a lovely title, too :D I enjoyed it, nice job!
Very interesting idea! I think spikes are not really the best fit with this concept, as death kind of breaks the flow of the game. Rather, I think it could benefit from leaning much more strongly into the puzzle platformer patterns such as switches and keys.
It could be really cool to manipulate things in the world using th dimension switch, like moving a ball horizontally, then coming up below it and switching to vertical to make it drop down, etc.
Good luck going forward! I would love to see a full-fledged game come out of this!
Thank you for your suggestions! I actually did not think so much about the puzzle side of my game and concentrated more on the platforming elements, which is especially evident in the last level. I will certainly try to play around with my focus between the two sides and see, if this game should be more a puzzle, platformer or somewhere in between.
As for the dimension switch affecting things, I have not given it much of a thought. I concidered to add enemies in the future, that would attack you if you see them. Your idea about moving other things with the dimension switch is very interesting indeed.
This is a truly original entry in the "only one dimension" category. Well done!
Very interesting game! The dimenison switching really creates new types of puzzles! While i understand that not seeing anything else than in one dimenison is very intendet, I cought myself switching dimenisons very rapidly to figure out whats going on in the room. Like, going one step to the left - switch dimensions - switch dimension back- go another step to the left. After some time it felt a tiny bit tedious. But this is also my only complaint, otherwise this is a really great game! Excellent Work!
Hey, thank you for your review! I will most certainly think abot how to communicate to the player which parts of the room are safe, and so disencourage them from needlessly switch dimension every step. However, for a perceptive folk I might add hidden secrets to the levels to reward them for their observations.
Moving only 1 dimension at a time! Very original idea which leads to interesting gameplay (you need to freeze the vertical dimension if you need to "jump" over the spikes). So the 1 dimension was more like a useful mechanic instead of a limitation like we often see in other games! Well done. Also liked how at the end you can see the full level.
I enjoyed that much more than I expected to.
I thought it was going to be another 1D game where you can only move in the short line, when I switched the line I thought "ok this is completely different from what I expected"
Quality game, keep developing it you could take that far.
P.S. love the gentleman theme you have going throughout it was a nice touch.
This is a really good idea, and a really good execution. Liked it a lot, and had fun while playing! Nice sound effects and the chill ambient sounds are pretty good. Good job!
Wow my dude, great stuff! There are a lot of times that I wasn't sure what was below me, but looking back, if I'd just been a bit more awake, I could've looked ahead. I really liked how the snow protrudes into your field of view, so you can tell when the ground is about to end, good design! I'm also a fan of his moustache, all round good job!
Nice entry!
It's a pretty challenging puzzle and trying to understand the configuration of the level with a limited field of view is not so easy
Being able to walk on air it's a strange and interesting mechanic ^^
The fact that the level is fully visible if you manage to solve it is a nice touch
I love the name, the concept is great and something I haven't seen before. With some polish I think this would be a great platformer puzzle game
