Great work. Absolutely loved the visuals. Getting in a flow of splitting and combining was a lot of fun!

It feels sooo smooth and fun to play! Great job !!

( also had the feeling that it could make a great rhythm game lol

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it! Haha shit time to reconsider our concept ;)

Nice art, gameplay, game idea and everything. I liked the forgiving restart and checkpoint. Really fun game

Developer

Thank you so much!

I'm a sucker for a good synthwave/vaporwave aesthetic, and this game does it well!

The connect/disconnect was definitely a unique interpretation in this game. And like I already did tell Sleeper_, the transformation does last a little too long for some of the connections to work probably and it felt like it was not my fault for the crash. It's always best to keep animations snappy and functional and not let it overtake the action, as tempting as it is for us animators! Games like these definitely need a lot of direct control after all.

Other then that, it was a really unique and interesting game to play. Took me a few to get grips with it. Great work, and my gosh does it feel polished for 2 days!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, we did playtest it ourselves but that is not the best reference :D The contrast between merged and unmerged is something we would look at. Thank you for the massive compliment!

This a great entry. I didn't have any issues but wanted to add that I feel like it would make a great rhythm game (though you'd have to modify the formula a bit).

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback! It might be something to add, these levels were hand built not based on music, but definitely something to think about ;)

Really sweet concept. I enjoyed the back and forth between separated and joined modes a lot. The acceleration of being joined together was fun and challenging. I did end up running into walls right after separating often but this isn't really my genre, so maybe a better player would've been able to navigate those tight switches. All in all a great experience, well done

Developer

Even though it might have not been your game thank you for sticking with it! And thank you for the compliments!

Pretty good and interesting control scheme. Thought it was a rhythm game - a little let down lol but still a fun and relatively original experience. ART STYLE WAS ON POINT.

Developer(+1)

You are not the first one to say that, definitely noted! Thank you for the feedback and trying it out

Interesting twist of a game. Hard to master fully which helps with replay value. Love the art used.

Developer

Thank you so much! Would love to offer more levels sadly did not have the time. The whole game except the music was created during the jam.

Nice concept and gameplay loop.
Though it took me  a while to get comfortable with the controls once I did it was pretty fun. Also I agree with the things KnightPhantom said about combining, I feel like it punishes combining instead of reinforcing it.
Overall a really cool game with nice art! :)

Developer

Ty for the feedback! The contrast between splitting and combining is too big maybe? Some said it was not rewarding to split ;) A live highscore board might have given it the right motivation :p

Mhm I see, I think I meant the action of combining, the combined state was actually really fun to me. Being split was more difficult so I can see why you would stay combined esoecially as you are forcing the player to be combine with the walls.
Though you are rewarding changing forms with the points and I also really like the mechanics so I think this definitly works with just a few tweaks.
Some additonal things I noticed:
The tutorial is super well done! It being interactive and waiting for the player to do the thing. A+
Another thing I liked is that you controls the split ships with wasd and mouse, some games this jam did split controlls with wasd and arrow keys and that didn't feel nearly as good.

Developer(+1)

Ty for being so thorough it is definitely not perfect ;) We tried a lot of different control schemes before settling on this.

Fantastic game with a great amount of polish and cool concept. One small note is that you can allow the drone to merge with a click instead of combining it by bringing it down or maybe make the drone merge faster as some parts of the level require you to merge instantly.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and the feedback, we added that to make it more challenging, but definitely things to ponder over!

My favourite game so far in this jam! Your implementation of the slitting mechanic is really amazing, the visuals are really charming, and the controls' difficulty curve is masterfully designed! AMAZING work on making this awesome game!

Developer(+1)

Glad that you like it. and Thank you so much for the compliments!

Amazing aret and music! the gameplay is very well polished too! I'm seriously impressed! I was a little confused how to use the ship when combined at first but once i figured it out i couldn't stop playing! great work!

Developer

Thank you so much for the compliments! Glad you enjoyed it so much!

great entry!  played on stream with my kids and they had great fun turning it into a co-op game :P

Developer

Thank you for playing! It was not intended to be played as a coop game but nice playtesting :p

Developer

That was really fun to watch! Thanks for playing and the insight!

Great game. Fantastic aesthetic and visual/audio design. Easy to grasp. with a little more polish could easily be expanded into a full game.

Only criticism, is that the level layouts require you to become extremely active immediately after checkpoints, however that is a very small critique.

Developer

Thank you so much for the compliments! Feedback is always appreciated, definitely things to improve!

Fantastic! This split mechanic is so smart, and even though I was terrible at it at first, I got used to it by Track B and then I flew through it. Really impressive visuals, and a well polished racing experience too. Great job!

Developer

Glad you liked it! Practice makes perfect ;)

absolutely 5 stars. Beautiful scenery, interesting gameplay loop that is not too easy but not too hard, fun idea that i've personally never seen before. Also i'm a sucker for vaporwave aesthetic so you got me there as well. One thing i could suggest, maybe make the transitions faster? other than that it's amazing and definitely add more tracks

Developer

Thank you so much for the review! We definitely would like to make more tracks. The delay was an added challenge, but it has been noted!

Great game !!!

I love the artstyle, the concept and the whole experience great work.

As my only constructive feedback, I feel like there is nothing to force players to separate. Maybe if you ad a cooldown or something to force players to  separate and grab the blue and yellow rings too. Right now there is nothing that stops me from just flying the entire level.

This game has potential with a bit more polish, great job !!

Please take some time to review my game if you can.
