Lol nice. It seems I forgot to completely lock the movement on the goal square if you roll onto it with the wrong side up. At least you can restart with R.

It's all good. You still made a great game in such a short time.

I loved this game. It's so addictive and I wish there was more to it, but hey it's perfect length and felt very rewarding for a game jam entry. I left it on while I went to watch tv. Came back a couple hours later and had over 2mil points.

This game had a bug that caused me to get stuck in a few places and had to quit out.

The effects, while interesting in concept made the game mostly unplayable. I ended up just waiting in one spot for the game to just give me low gravity so I could skip obstacles.

This is a nice little rage game that made me really mad and eventually just quit.

Took me a couple tries to get used to the game's mechanics, but once I did I really enjoyed it. The art style and atmosphere felt a lot like the game "Inscryption" which is one of my favorites of last year so you get major points from me for that. Great job. 

Only problem I ran into was once I completed my 15th order, my cursor just vanished and I couldn't complete any more. 

Yeaaaah... after submitting I found out how many people had similar ideas. There was supposed to be a whole story and RPG elements added to this, but since I'm a newbie to Unity/C# I had to get rid of most of it.

I'm not really sure what to do about the trial and error aspect of things. Seems to be how most of these types of games are played.

The music just plays on the main menu. After spending a day and a half on the elements that eventually got cut, I was up til around 4:30am and due to exhaustion and my lack of knowledge regarding the music/audio system in Unity, I just didn't bother watching an hour or two of tutorials to make the music persist like I wanted before submitting.

I didn't even catch the problem on level 3. Thank you for pointing it out. I had a similar issue on level one after initially submitting but luckily a friend of mine pointed it out an hour before the jam closed.

I actually originally wanted to include more in the game such as a main character you controlled to walk around and flip the die, a scoring/exp/leveling system, and a little bit of a story but since this is my first time making anything complete in Unity/C# I ended up with a lot of problems I didn't know how to fix and scrapped a majority of the content. I wish I had started with the simple concept I ended up with - could have done a lot more with it.

I'm sorry you didn't like the gameplay - I'm not sure what else could be done since trial and error is kind of what I intended unless you are familiar with the layout of a standard die.

I thought about adding a pause menu with "quit" and "retry" on it but opted for "press R" instead and forgot to add any option for quitting. There's always Alt+F4, but I understand how quality of life is impacted by lack of options/UI.

Thank you. There was originally a lot more to this game - there were originally RPG elements to it and part of that cut content was a score/EXP/level up system where you gained EXP for each upward facing side you rolled into. The limitation was originally added to keep people from just rolling around aimlessly and racking up points since I thought adding caps to score felt a little too artificial. Due to my limited C#/Unity experience, I somehow broke the score system along with some other stuff and ended up cutting the score system entirely. I ended up keeping the limitation as sort of a red herring for some puzzles and because I like the way it looks on the UI/board.

Glad you liked it. I thought about including an indicator for WASD orientation, but I couldn't decide where to put it to keep the UI as clean as it is.

I feel ya. I've been doing this jam for 3 years and every time I missed some sort of problem. Good job on everything else though.

I completely understand not being able to figure out a weird issue and just kind of scrapping some stuff or changing a little to make the work easier on yourself. I had to do it a few times this jam - first time making a full project with Unity and I had to cut like 50-60% of my game due to weird problems.

This was a beautiful experience. So much story told through excellent game mechanics. Everything was amazing. Great job!

The artwork was beautiful, the animation was smooth, the music was chill - the game is dripping with style. Great job.

Very creative concept - storing different inventory items on each side of the die. I like it, but I think there might be a problem with one of the levels. There's no key to open the door.

I love the Atari aesthetic of the game. Clever use of the rotating numbers to represent the die.

I can't explain why, but this feels really good to play. When the frame started moving around off the normal x/y axis, it started to feel a lot like a fast-paced bullet hell game. Great work.

Interesting concept. You don't come across a deckbuilding dice game very often. This was a pleasant surprise - though I think that the pacing might be a bit slow. Waiting for the remaining dice in your hand to roll over to make room for new dice each round felt like it took much longer than it should.

This was awesome and really well thought out. If more types/sides of dice were added, I could see this becoming larger and even more in-depth. Good job.

This was top tier game design. I loved this game from beginning to end. The atmosphere... the cinematic presentation... the surprise twist at the end... how could anyone achieve this level of mastery in such a short amount of time?

I adored this game's style. The side of the die controlling the shot power was awesome.

Took me a few tries to get ahold of the combat mechanics and pass the second level. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. This could be a really cool concept to build upon into a larger game. Felt just like the name suggests - dark souls but you're a die. 

Your game's visual style really caught my eye to begin with and I knew it would be another puzzle game much like I made, but the interesting mechanics you used really impressed me. The card system blew my mind. Fantastic job!

It took me a couple of deaths to get a grip of how the game works, but once I did I was hooked. I loved this. Simple, but genuinely tense and an excellent strategy game. This would be awesome as an online multiplayer game.

This was a really unique game - the lyric matching angle isn't anything I've ever seen in a rhythm game. I played it 3 times because I just had to have that 12/12.

I loved the cute little concept of this game. My only issue with it is that when the amount of dice got past 3, I had a hard time keeping track of how much score my wok was holding. Maybe could have used a current score total somewhere on screen to make keeping track easier? All in all, nice concept and pretty good execution.

I really liked this. Cute graphics, chill atmosphere, and tough puzzles. The next to last one had me scratching my head. Had to skip it. Really good job.

Good use of multiple dice to make the puzzles more intricate. There is a bug I found - when I hit "next level" on any level it always goes to level 5 - even on level 5.

The setting, the music, the art style - fantastic. That being said, I didn't get very far before I had to stop playing. Any time the die is on screen, or as soon as I leave the office, the browser player slows down horribly. If it was just a visual problem, I could handle it but the music skips and breaks as the browser player struggles to keep up. I really wish there was an .exe download so I could play this thing in full because I really like the way this game's style and ideas but I just can't play it on browser as is.

I think the art style for Dice King is cute and the mechanics are pretty interesting and unique. The only problems I really ran into were: 

1. sometimes the first jump wouldn't be high enough and the double jump wouldn't quite make it to a platform above (maybe the platforms were too high)

2. there was a section where I spat the die at the wall to reroll it and it bounced into a pit. It would be great if there was a way for the die to respawn so that if it's lost, you don't have to start all over again. (this happened 2 times)

I also found a glitch where the die to the last door before King Dice bounced off the door instead of triggering it. I was able to make it over by bouncing off the die to get a super double jump but still it happened.

All in all, pretty cool little game.

I just tested what you were saying. Just don't hold up or down while moving and it will work.
