I really enjoyed your game, a very creative take on the theme. A little later in the game I did find it a little overwhelming with all the changing dice, but the high tension also made it fun. Super well polished as well, loved the graphics and sound.

Amazing game and concept. The presentation is really awesome, too. The music, SFX, and enjoyability of the whole thing were just perfect. Nice work!
Defs one of my favourites, I love how much this takes a simple push-your-luck mechanic and manages to make it feel very controllable. I was already impessed by the first level, but then the additional dice manipulation mechanics really turned up the heat! I'm really torn as to whether I would've preferred a dice count feature as I did find it frustrating sometimes counting them up but I do also recognise that it certainly adds to the tension! Perhaps it would make sense as an additional mechanic, incurring a heat penalty to 'peek' at the dish and get a quick calculation? Did you explore any other options in your initial design?
Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback! I prototyped a number counter early on, but I found having the counter actually rippled out and affected all the other parts of design -- imo the counter made adding up the dice almost too easy, which would've meant rebalancing the other factors like heat and the random ranges to keep things engaging. I ultimately sided with the simpler option due to time. I totally get what you're saying and felt it myself when playtesting, and I think your idea of having a counter as an upgrade or tradeoff is a good compromise! The final game does get a little too frustrating, especially in the later levels.
Solid game! I always felt in control of the dice and the extra mechanics as the levels went up just raised my enjoyment // influence over the randomness of the dice. The tutorials being part of the level also felt really good. Very learnable, well designed, and well presented.
My only, minor, bit of feedback, I didn't immediately grok "# of dice == # of flips required". Got there in the end, but confused me at first. I also didn't know how much "score" I needed to hit the next level, but all things pretty minor :)

This game is really something special. It's easy to play and feels great. The rules are pretty simple for what it is and I haven't seen any concept like this so far in the jam! Great job!
One possible bug I may have come across is a stage required between 19 and 22 but I scored 32 and it said it was perfect? Not sure why this was but hopefully this description can help you if you decide to work on it further. :)
Thank you so much!! Believe it or not it's actually not a bug, when you score a "perfect" (getting the highest number in the range) the game gives you 10 bonus points, making the final number look incorrect. I definitely needed to tutorialize that (as well as a bunch of other mechanics), and if I do polish it up and release a post-jam version it'll be the first thing I address.

I love how authentic cooking feels in you game, pan movement to rotate the dice is a prefect choice. The art and music are incredible, and everything plays perfectly. You can release this game on playmarket today and nobody would bet an eye.
I felt like actually calculating the sum takes to long, so the game requires player to make quick decision based on pure vibes, and I love it. Quickly flipping pan a few times and then adding just the right amount of salt by eye is something that a real chef would do!
All in all great game, and one of my favourite from the jam so far. Criminally underreviewed.
Simple yet highly satisfying game. Very quick to learn the controls. Try to master the art of getting in that sweet spot, often getting just below of just after the required amount, argh so annoying. Very good game! Caught my eye with the very original idea.
The control scheme feels great! I didn't actually get what was happening with the heat meter or the required number of wok jiggles before I could serve? Overall though this is an excellent execution presentation and a pretty unique idea. I love the sticky notes on the side that give you information!
Thanks so much for the kind words! Originally there was planned to be a tutorial sticky-note on the first stage (you can even see the big blank spot in the bottom right where it was meant to go), but I ended up having to cut it to make the deadline. One thing I've learned from this game jam is that you shouldn't cut the tutorial to your game if you can help it!
Really good concept and design. Good to see another game with a cooking theme go into the jam. I really wish the "food" wasn't just white dice, I think there was a big missed opportunity to incorporate diced food w/ numbers in here.

Fun and polished but I agree with traindozer that it would be a little more clear if the was a current count on the screen especially when the count got high
Excellent Game Jam submission.
At first it took me a bit to figure out that I NEEDED to roll a certain number of times. But after that, the game was very clear. Simple concept, executed very well.
Also the music was great!
I loved the cute little concept of this game. My only issue with it is that when the amount of dice got past 3, I had a hard time keeping track of how much score my wok was holding. Maybe could have used a current score total somewhere on screen to make keeping track easier? All in all, nice concept and pretty good execution.
