i like the different charicters and its a really cool concept

Really original idea! I like how we can able to switch between characters and they have different abilities.

Ohh this was super cute! I love the little details like the sounds of each character and the eye of the octopus looking at the direction you're going, great way of reducing animations but mantaining a nice feeling.
It was super hard tho! And if you don't have a numeral pad you can't press "shift+0" to use the = to switch levels hahaha

This was definitely cute and well-put-together.  I couldn't get past the execution challenge in level 2, however.  This is partly because I'm bad at platforming, for sure.  What I think gave me trouble about it particularly was the need to swap quickly between things a few times in a row and execute them with correct, non-panicked timing.  I got reset too many times and concluded I wouldn't be able to do it XD  Sorry about that.  The mechanics were certainly looking interesting.  And the characters were adorable, 'specially the little details like the tentacles grabbing around the other critter when picking him up.
Thanks for the experience!  ^_^

level 2 is very tough (tougher than we expected) so hopefully you were able to press = and experience the easier later levels! Thanks for your feedback!

Ahh, I forgot about that even though it was up there in the corner the whole time.  I should try that :D  I'm so used to being blocked from later levels until I've done the preceding once. ^_^  Thanks!

Ah there we go.  Everything else was so chill compared to that XD haha.  Thanks again, was able to complete the other levels.

Nice! hope you enjoyed your experience! glad you got to give the rest of the game a shot! :D

Honestly that's a very nice feature that has been in a bunch of jam games... but then not in some others XD  I feel like for a jam game it's a really good catchall since you'll have all sorts of players with all sorts of time and ability constraints of their own, so thank you for including that feature in the first place ^_^  Cheers!

Very cool art. it looks great! The gameplay is unique and it fits the theme very well. The puzzles are not to hard and fun to solve. Great game!

These must be the most charming underwater puzzle platform creatures I have ever encountered! Really great how they interact with each other to solve the puzzles, I had a lot of fun playing this one, amazing job!

What a brilliant game! Characters and music are adorable, and the puzzles are interesting and challenging.

The cannons should be solid objects- I kept trying to jump onto the cannon in level three before realizing that it was just in the background. Being able to walk through them from behind and get shot is kinda strange as well.

I particularly liked level four, which was fun to figure out and introduced several mechanics with zero words. Well done!

I like that detaching causes Olly to jump, and I was super happy when I found out the mechanic is used in puzzle six (I think? The level with the tiny door for Timmy right at the start. That door's hitbox also sticks out from the wall and can be climbed on to make the jump btw)

I definitely would like a more noticeable indicator of which character you have active- the cutest and easiest would be to go Snakebird's route and have the inactive critter close its eye(s).

All in all this is a fun, original game which strongly adheres to the theme. Full marks!

that's a really neat idea. have seen similar stuff in the jam but yours has a lot of neat mechanics

Don't underestimate the puzzles!

I warned you! The puzzles in this game may not look intimidating, however, they're actually quite challenging and require a little bit of patience. Never rush the levels or you will regret (lol). It's a nice concept with a nice art style. I love the voice acting used for the game lmao. I would suggest having a more noticeable indicator rather than an auto-centered camera upon switching between characters. I often failed to reach a platform due to I moved the wrong character. The TAB keys could be changed to "Q" in my opinion, it's not really necessary but I would prefer the controls are closed to each other. Above all, this is an excellent puzzle-platformer game. Good job.

Really cool concept! I've seen quite a few games with two character but this one had the unique twist to bin them together in different ways. It's a really cool game and the art is also quite nice. Good Job!

Great aesthetic. A little more handholding needed for someone like me.

Well done overall.

BTW, Would love for you to try my game too.

It is an Action Platformer with unique controls.

Game idea is great ;but move controller is not friendly and cam follow seem need some smooth ~

Amazing art - it looks great! Sometimes, the controls felt kinda cumbersome and I think this game could be massively improved by some indicator that shows which character you are controlling and it would be nice to add the death animations. However, those are only minor things. On the other hand, I loved the little details like the arrow that is pointing to the direction where the other character is, if they are out of sight — that is a nice touch!

This was a really sweet little puzzle game! The teamwork aspect was great, and all the different ways that you had to use one guy to assist the other added a lot to it's overall charm and fun. I found the controls to be a bit floaty at times, and I didn't realize that the underside of the blue guy was tough for a bit in the final level, but those are two very minor things that don't take away from the overall joy it was to swim around in that extremely cute game. Great job!

Great work guys it was a good experience, the art style was good, I think adding some kind of death animation would be great, key mapping was also good, overall I would say great work :D

Submitted(+3)

Clever little puzzle game. Didn't realize at first that there were two different ways to connect them, so figuring that out was a nice surprise. If I had to suggest a tweak, the biggest one would be adding a wil-e coyote frame or two for jumps. Level 2 gave me more trouble than any of the "harder" levels, because I kept sliding off the long lateral jump, because I fell the second I was off the block. Made that particular jump feel finnicky.

Pretty cool and cute. I enjoyed the way the characters interact

Submitted(+3)

incredibly charming !! it's clear a lot of effort was put into the setting and character design to make them cohesively cute, and as a big fan of cute things it's very appreciated effort hehe. the concept is solid and i haven't seen an attaching mechanic like yours anywhere else in the jam, so great job!

A shame the browser version didn't work, however great idea. It was relaxing to play, however I can't figure out how to get past level 4

(the turtle can attach to the top of the octopus)

Not sure what the issue is with the browser version. It worked better on Chrome for me than on Firefox, but both worked worse than the desktop version. Thanks for playing anyway!
