Got a very satisfying 2048 vibe from this game. At first, I started consolidating buildings to strategically set them up next to others, but I realize that isn’t necessary because you can move them around freely. Might be an interesting angle to try if you plan on developing the game further. Overall, loved it. Great job!

Thank you, we are definitely looking to bring it to mobile with some additional features and polish in the near future - glad you enjoyed it!

Very good game! At first I wasn't getting why it was out of control, but it totally is. Reminds me of Threes. On that note, I wish it had a smaller board and some goals, maybe with puzzly elements. Still, the core concept is very sound and I like it a lot.

Developer(+2)

Thank you! Smaller board with different goals is a great idea. Hopefully we can add more to the game in the future.

Although the concept isn't that unique, you managed to create very fun gameplay and a nice aesthetic style. Great job!

I really enjoyed the concept of building everything up as high as it can go. This is the only game like this that I have seen in this entire jam, so good work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! We definitely tried to take a different approach to the theme so glad that you found it unique!

I think this game could be improved if you had a target score per level and limited space, instead of just infinite and if you could click the tiles instead of the sprites, as the tall buildings obstructed everything behind them

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback!

The challenge mode does have limited space (if the buildings reach the edge you lose). So far noone has got any where close to the maximum score there!

You can get around the tall buildings obstructing the view by zooming out into a top-down view. But there is definitely more to improve here that we'll be working on next!

Nice game,

Is  clicking suppose to make builds grow.

Wow, this game is actually 2048 but hard mode.  I am a big fun of the way this plays plus the art style really makes me swoon. I am a big fan of simple and low-poly, especially when that is all you need to get a point across.  Whichever one of you worked on the great job. Great visuals over.

Good job the team behind this one, keep it up for future Game Jams or projects in general. :) - Deer.

Thank you for submitting your game to the stream! =)
Pretty cool, but I found the adaptation to the theme a little forced.

Either way, it has the potential to become a great mobile game. Continue development!

I like the 2048/Threes style gameplay (made my own game in that style last year ;)

But also like how I can spawn new buildings and move buildings into empty squares, both really help to keep the game moving for me especially at the start and end.

Nice, the core mechanic is pretty similar to 2048 but works well! The music and graphics fit nicely together and make the game feel pretty relaxing.

Mechanics-wise I thought it was neat that you can actually shuffle single buildings around by just dragging them into an open space which is different from 2048. And the way you select things made me think initially there would be a bit of match 3 style thing where I could make longer chains for bonuses. I think that might be an interesting direction to explore.

One more interesting direction I could see this going is to explore ideas of overpopulation or underpopulation. For example, maybe if a building is surrounded on all 4 sides, a timer starts ticking down and makes the building shrink one stage because of overpopulation making people want to move out. I think it would be really neat if the optimal gameplay then ended requiring you to make small clusters around the map so that there end up being different "neighborhoods" to your city.

Developer(+2)

Thanks for the feedback! There are some cool ideas here that we'll play around with after the jam. The game would be very different with the population mechanics, but it does sound like an interesting direction. Thanks again!

Looks really beautiful! It plays well too. Although it looks zen (I'm sure the zen mode is chill), the challenge mode has you at the edge, trying to control the chaos. Only thing that may be a bit annoying is that touching the tiles behind some buildings is a bit difficult in the heat of the moment, but it's a good entry.

Really zen game, does exactly what it says on the tin! Such satisfying visuals, audio, and popping in and out! Absolutely loved it

Wow! really simplistic but so much fun. Fun take on the 2048 concept with a fitting twist. I first felt so in control, and then felt VERY out of control. nice pacing! Only complaint would be that big building would block my view; maybe make the things Im hovering my mouse over transparent so I can look behind them? :D

I loved the gameplay though, awesome work.

This is a really cool, relaxing game to play. Definitely becomes chaotic near the end - I like your interpretation of the theme a lot. Very nice job!

Submitted(+3)

even though my city grew out of control, the game had a very calm atmosphere. This was a very nice experience, great work!

A very solid game! I like this game's look and sound; its gameplay is pretty intense with how quickly things ramp up (gotta love near-exponential growth), but the sound and art style work to make it not be too panic-inducing. It's just got nice, chill vibes to it that I appreciate. Nice work! :D

Also, here's a bad fan art:

Thanks for the kind words and the brilliant fan art! :D We're glad you enjoyed the game!
