Pretty fun game! Awesome job, really like the boosts and jumps too made it really fun to try and pull off even if most of time I'd crash afterwards aha :D

I feel this game could have been a lot more fun with more bouncy physics instead of the "I slightly tapped this wall so either I'm dead stopped or flipping out like a maniac" stuff it has

This was pretty good. I don't like the way the car steers - it goes too quickly, and seems to rotate around a point slightly too far back on the car making it unintuitive - and I thought the music started to grate after a while, but it's got an impressive amount of polish for a short jam, and it fits the theme really nicely. Good luck on your future projects!
I feel like this game was intended for analog controllers, not just holding down keyboard keys :p
And those cars I hit seem absolutely unbreakeable, like walls of obsidian drilled into the ground.

The game looks good. A game jam is about trying new stuff and experiment with mechanics and gameplay. I'm not sure how this game adds some sort of interesting twist.

Well, the driver in this game is, without a doubt, not the most professional driver based on how easy it was to die ahah. But seriously, the game is fun, and the movement is pretty smooth and feels good. However, as others already mentioned, dodging the obstacles is a way too difficult challenge, maybe you can slow down the speed, increase the speed for turning etc. Apart from that, had fun with it!
Honestly this game is really hard. I play alot of racing games in my freetime (one of my favorite genres) but there is way to many obstacles on the road in my opinion. I really do enjoy this game and the gameplay is really fun and good. Honestly I want more variaty in the obstacles. Well done
At the moment there are only 10 obstacles. What I would probably do next is have a counter of "total tiles spawned", then have diffrent arrays for diffrent difficulty levels. Once the counter is high enough, it would transistion to the next array, which would have more difficult tiles.
That got really hard really fast (or I'm just bad at driving). The obstacles are randomly placed, right? It might be better with a little more of a pattern to them, because by the time I can see the obstacles it seemed like it was already too late to get around them. But car seems to generally control nicely.
The obstacles are placed via a tileset, with 10 total tiles. The car can be pretty hard to control. Fast tapping of the A/D keys makes things easier :)
Cool fast action, is a little to easy to get stuck in my opinion, I would add rigid bodies to crash obstacles away, but overall a fun game.
This is an unreal engine game. There are no rigidbodies :)
I could have them simulate physics, though ^^
I feel like the car accel is way too slow. In general, all things about this game are too slow. a fast, action racing game where you hastily avoid obstacles and they explode if you crash? yeah that would have worked. Idk, it just feels bland. sorry if that was too harsh, haha
also i couldn't really play much because it kept bugging me out
