I think this game could be improved if you had a target score per level and limited space, instead of just infinite and if you could click the tiles instead of the sprites, as the tall buildings obstructed everything behind them

Nice execution of the theme, but I think you should make it more clear what is a 9 and what is a 6, as well as making the timer more clear (for example, add actual text/numbers to display the timer)

Very clean, but I think a diffrent button setup (for example, space bar to shoot and WASD for movement) could have been a slight improvement

Unreal Engine does not support PS4 controllers, if that's what you used. Unless you use a program to emulate an XBOX controller or generic gamepad

Roomba Cat Best Cat. Only thing I missed was the summoning of an actual demon cat if you gathered enough score and some limit in max items on screen. To make it more interesting, maybe move the pentagram around over time?

the game refused to launch, as far as I recall. Not an issue because of windows defender. There was an error message during launch. I no longer have the game downloaded.

true, I went safe with this one. I really wanted to focus on releasing a clean product above everything else

you can always release it at diffrent places! Would defiitely try it out again if you reach out to me with a new version

pretty nice concept, but I couldnt get past the timescale part of the tutorial within the time I had to test your game

I couldnt find that "first carrot", so there was no real gameplay for me

The art was great, but I can't really call this a game as once you drop your blob into the level, the game plays itself, there is no interaction.

I think the tutorial signs should have included the WASD buttons, as well as an explaination of the teleport and wind. Also the map should be a bit more accurate, had a bit of a hard time figuring out where I was. Also, I think that the symbol statues could use an interact button, instead of touching.

Small scope, but very clean execution. Could do with some prediction as to how the rotation speed will change before it actually changes, also maybe make it a platformer?

Other than the obvious fixes that this game needs (keyboard input), I think that the chicken should have a displayed path it walks, so you can plan ahead

I think you scoped a bit too large for this project, it seemed very much unfinished

Would love to see an update for this, where you as the developer makes the broken modules smart (for example, have them actively seek out enemies so you as player are forced to follow the module and get into danger to keep it's benefits)

The game lasted about a minute, and it really left me wondering what else could be done with this concept. Needs a little bit "more" playability to it, i think

Solid game, would love to see more levels, as well as a transition level between where you can and can not control your player that was a bit more easy than the current last level, also the music can do with an improvement

Art was nice, good job on the AI, but gameplay was a bit lacking, as well as the level design. Please stray away from monotonous game SFX like the lighting SFX you used.

Level design was a bit rough, but great concept and well executed overall

couldnt have said it better

I really like the idea of tetris tiles as movement options. You would have 2 points per tile, start and finish, which you could place on top of the spaceship, after whice the spaceship would move from the first point to the second point via the displayed path of the tile.

Great idea, but I think the timers were a bit on the short side. All of them could have used 1-2 more seconds

GENIUS concept for the tutorial, maybe a biiit on the long side and the jump got enabled a bit too early. Great memory game

I think the game concept is nice, but the execution lacked a bit, mainly the balance was a bit off. The circuit broke a bit too often and most actions consumed a bit too much stamina/coffee didnt provide enough stamina to keep going. Also, the doors should be 2-way to prevent the player from getting blocked by a door

Really heavy game in the emotional side of things, missed a clear consequence for your choises, though.

Art looked great, but as I know basically nothing about visual novels, I will not rate it

Very good level design, amazing concept and great execution!

Great art, great level design, just wish that if you went down narrow area's you wouldnt bounce back up if you would hit a wall.

This game is very big, but do keep in mind that with game jams like these, most players won't put more time into your game than maybe 5 minutes. So try to optimize those 5 minutes.

The tanks should snap on the grid points and be limited to a 45 degree angle for aiming, because sometimes you can't hit the tanks that are driving towards you with how it works right now. Also the keys dropping from the hose up top shouldnt obscure any parts of the UI

Only downside I could find is that the duplicated clones must spawn in empty space instead of at the same position where the player is, so you have less control over where it spawns. LOVE the level design though

Adorable little game, great voice acting, I think that after the jam you should overhaul the imput system to not be random i.e. Have 1 card be "movement", one card be "attack" and one card be "utility", if you click one, it would change the cards to the respective input options.

The obstacles are placed via a tileset, with 10 total tiles. The car can be pretty hard to control. Fast tapping of the A/D keys makes things easier :)

This is an unreal engine game. There are no rigidbodies :)
I could have them simulate physics, though ^^

At the moment there are only 10 obstacles. What I would probably do next is have a counter of "total tiles spawned", then have diffrent arrays for diffrent difficulty levels. Once the counter is high enough, it would transistion to the next array, which would have more difficult tiles.

You can check out my livestream! Youtube channel: TheCatPlaysGamez, I post my link on various GMTK related discord servers. I have rated ~100 games so far and plan to do another 50 or so today

not sure, never had that happen before on any of my unreal engine games :(

I have written the music and sampled the sound effects during the jam :)

Sadly I didn't quite have enough time for more variation. The car was made during the jam and ate up pretty much one entire day. Due to drag being simulated, the car has a maximum speed it can not surpass. If you like the driving, I have made a full racing game before with similar physics, based on the old Hot Wheels Acceleracers franchise.
