Did you work in a team?
just me!
loved it!
Was the resolution a challenge?
biggest challenge was displaying text... would have liked to get a little more on the screen, but in the end I made do with what I had available.
What did you learn?
First big project i've ever done with Godot. I love it!

That game was really cool! Took me a minute to realize how to get through the blue doors (I had assumed I had to trigger something to open them... whoops). I wish gravity was a little less intense. It seemed like the gravity difference between when you're jumping/jetpacking and just falling off a platform is way different.
Art was simple, yet solid. There were some cool little animations on the enemies that had a good feel to them. You crammed lots of little juicy elements in there. A really cool game!
One of the bests so far!
Classic take on the metroidvania. And you have done a very polished game in this 2 week. Impressive!
The only thing I would complain about is that the camera has a harsh movement. Here is a great blog about 2d side scroller camera, if you are interested:
Great work!
yeah I know how to make a smoother camera… the biggest issue with doing so is that since our resolution is so tiny, and my little guy moves so quickly, it becomes really easy to get yourself too close to the edge of the screen where you can’t see any of the enemies that you are moving toward!
I futzed around with this for a couple hours early in the jam and just decided to stick the camera centered on the player to avoid wasting time lol.
I do have plans for smoothing it out a little post-jam tho. I’m glad you enjoyed the game and thank you for the constructive feedback!
Really cool! I especially like the audio and the animation when you take damage, both of which are classic glitchy cyberpunk stuff.
I think the text looks pretty good! Building it into the level at the beginning was a clever move, and it was easy to read. I had a lot of dialogue for my game and it was hard to do without having these clunky full-screen windows.
Extremely fun, so many visual and audio effects, gameplay and progression was very smooth, really well done !
Really nice work - loved this! Really nice atmosphere. Minimal but everything really readable. Good level design. My only complaint would be the keyboard and mouse controls, but that's a personal preference thing (I don't think mouse and keyboard...). It seemed to glitch a little when switching screens or respawning - not sure if that was intentional but I really liked it and added to the atmosphere!
Very very fun. Sounds and effects were thicc and crunchy, controls were tight.
An amazing metroidvania with tight controls! I love how you delineated different areas with different color tiles, this really helps me stay oriented and keep track of where I've been/where to go!
Really cool game. Wasn't expecting the mouse aim, but I liked it. Cute character, clean level design. Props for Godot :D!
