Did you work in a team?
This was a solo project.

Was the resolution a challenge?
The resolution was not a problem. The game I wanted to make needed just a grid that was 4x4 so 64x64 was a lot of pixels to work with.

What did you learn?
I learned a lot. This is the first game I've ever made, so basically everything was a new learning experience. I've never worked in typescript at all before and all the phaser stuff was new. I am grateful for my brother, who helped me with a lot of code errors, and the phaser tutorials in helping me accomplish this goal.

This is very cool! I liked the concept of this an awful lot and think the simple graphics are extremely efrfective. Kinda tetrisy - didn't feel like a low res game at all but something pretty complete! Music and effects really work. Just could do with a little more direction and some more variation - definitely something to develop!

Developer

Thanks! My plan is to work on increasing the game modes and improving the initial menu scene (with some direction) after the Jam.

lol i had no idea what was happening here until i read some of the comments. Really neat concept for a game!

Developer

Thanks. I think that I could probably do more to convey the idea in the loading screen, by at least having that pop up with some directions. I may add that after the jam.

Very cool game. Have you played the card game Fluxx? The rule changing reminds me of that. Awesome music and I love the colorblind mode; I had a heck of a time finding good colors for my game.

Developer

Thanks! I will have to check out the card game, it sound interesting.

Beautiful simple graphics, fitting music, just create a rule for game over and you have a complete game for release!

Developer

Thanks! It could use some sort of completion setting or at least some tally of the number of games played. Something to add after the Jam.

I like the rule changing idea. Congratulations!

was confused at first, then worked out what was going on. interesting idea.

At first I did not understand the game very well but shortly after I saw myself experimenting to know how to fit the pieces and solve the puzzle, that a game encourages the player to experiment is a great merit. well done!

Thanks. One of my challenges is trying to figure out how much direction to give and still have the puzzle of what you needed to do.

Interesting concept about the rules changing and you finding out how to play. Nice first game, congrats.

Great job! Really neat idea to have the rules of the game change as you play. I like the simplicity of the whole thing. Good music too.

Cool concept & a great first game!

Amazing, I really liked the idea. The music is perfect and the sound effects are really good. Good job!

Wow, I really liked this!! Figuring out what the 'rules' of the game are through trial and error was very interesting. Great job :)

Congratz on your first game! I like that you made an "explore till you get it"-kinda puzzle. Hope you will make more game in the future !

Simple and effective! Good use of the space. and good job on your first game :)

Great first game! I kinda like the idea of a puzzle game who's rules change every round and you have to slowly figure them out by trial and error.

Grats on your first game!  It took me a minute to figure out how the rules worked, but it's pretty simple and sort of a zen experience. Nice work!

Great work and congrats on making your first game. It's very cool that you learned a bunch :)

Developer

Thanks! It is a somewhat simple game as is, but being able to accomplish that has made my really motivated to program more and work on a more complex game.

A really great game ! I love the block moving and placement sounds, they are very satisfying. I also love the inclusion of a color blind mode

Really cool, how did you even come up with that concept?? I loved it, kinda put me in a trance to be honest lol, just kept play more and more so that's a pretty big win in my book. Props for the accessibility options too!  Great little game.

Check mine out too if you can.

Developer

Thanks! I do play it myself even though I very well know how to win, I find it relaxing. As for the idea I was talking a walk with my brother and the idea popped into my head. He suggested that it was a doable game for me to make with little programing experience so I went with it.  And thanks for the comments on the  accessibility options, I know it is not always possible to add options in all games during a game jam, but I feel like it is a good thing to attempt and felt like I could definitely do something for my game.

That was an interesting and entertaining diversion. Adding "what to solve for" to "figure out how to solve" gave depth to thee game. Nice work!
