Did you work in a team?
One member, lots of sweat, plenty of learning along the way.
Was the resolution a challenge?
Communicating several things at once in a tiny square with only 64 pixels is very challenging. I'm not sure if I overcame them yet. You be the judge.
What did you learn?
This is my second published game. I learned more about game design and the practice of making games than I knew before I started.

For me it's a bit too much on the drawing side, I don't really like those drawing he's on cell phone so didn't fit me... But I rated you accordingly to how the game felt and not my personal preferences. I must say that the minesweeper vibe is amazing
Thanks. I appreciate it!
hey i really liked this one! I like puzzlers like this, and as pretty much everyone else has said.. I kind of want to play it on my phone :D
Lemme know when it hits the appstore ;)
Thanks a lot Cody. I really appreciate it!
Took me a while to understand how it works but once I did it was really fun! Super interesting twist on Minesweeper! Like others have commented, I could really see this game doing really well ported to smartphones :)
This is a cool take on the Minesweeper style of game. I could see this being an excellent mobile game because it lends itself to short play sessions working towards a larger goal. Hard to crank through the whole thing in a single sitting because there's so many levels! I got mixed up a few times with what color I was drawing and how the numbers were displayed -- but it was a minor thing. Overall, this was pretty cool and fit perfectly into the resolution restriction of the jam.
Thanks a lot! I will admit that I could have done with a few more pixels to make the numbers and the colours under them more distinct.
You said this is the second game released by you. Great job!! This is very very good. This would be nice to play on a cell phone. There is a lot of potential. -oneak
Thanks for this kind comment and for the encouragement!
I liked a lot the idea of the game!!
It was very creative to recycle the idea of the classic minesweeper game, but using its mechanic to discover colors and unlock a drawing. It also fit very well with the 64x64 resolution.
The graphics are nice, and the sound effects too.
Really liked the idea of the gameplay. I used to play the classic minesweeper game a lot, and I found creative the idea of uncovering a big art. It's a relaxing game, mainly because you can play each day a little to reveal the drawing.
The mechanic is very well created, and I didn't run into any bug.
On the first time running the game crashed and I couldn't start again for a while, but perhaps it was my antivirus. It also had some very rare lags while playing, but nothing that hindered the gameplay.
I just had a lot of difficulty on the beggining to understand what I had to do, and also how the numbers works with the color and that I need to find them, not to avoid.
When I start a stage, It's very fine to find the colors by using the starter numbers. Whoever I felt a lot confused when the numbers started to show when clicking in the colors, and I didn't know for what they referred to. A suggestion I would made is to find a way to highlight more what the numbers in the found colors mean.
But it's an amazing game, I loved to play it and had a lot of fun! I think that it has potential as a casual puzzle!
Congratulations for the entry!! Wish you all the best with the project!
Thanks, Adriano, for the kind words and for taking the time to give some constructive criticism. The initial learning curve is definitely an area that could be improved. I would have liked to include a tutorial level and add some more animation to give the player some visual hints about what is happening and what to do next. I could easily have used an extra two weeks.
Very cool. Kind of like a cross between minesweeper and a nonogram. Well-executed and fun. I ended up playing it all in one session. Great job!
Brilliant! I’m glad you liked it and I’m especially pleased that you managed to finish it, what with all these other games vying for your attention. Thanks for that.
Took me a little while before I actually understood what was going on. But it was fun to play!
Maybe you could add an easy mode where it indicates how many total squares of a color are left for all colors on the field. That way it's also a little more obvious for beginners that the pencil will switch colors on its own.
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it. That's a good idea and could be incorporated into the colour menu (press M). I would have liked to include more tutorial elements within the game but, you know, 15 days.
Nice little puzzler, very reminiscent of Minesweeper. with enough of a twist. Nice job. Please check out our game: https://itch.io/jam/lowrezjam-2020/rate/732044
Thamks! Will do.
Finally got my head wrapped around it after trying it a lot and now I have loads of fun. Great concept!
Just a question, though : why no HTML5 export ( or maybe you explained it in the discord and I missed it ) ?
Thanks Jujule! The main reason for no browser version is that the auto save would not work. But I also had some performance issues that affected sound playback in Chrome and I decided that players would have a much better experience with the downloadable versions.
That makes sense !
Just when I got over my Minesweeper addiction... you pull me back in. ><
Fun game!
Thanks a lot!
It is so hard to see and stuff because it is 64 x 64 resolution!
Even an eagle would be like "WHA..."
That's the whole idea though, right?
The sound effect for when you put the numbers is so annoying LOL
The BOOM sound effect is so...so triggering, it scares me LOL
As a big fan of both Picross and Minesweeper, I really enjoyed this game. It took a try or two to get the hang of the controls and after that I was hooked and spent like 30 minutes solving puzzles. Ten thumbs up!
Thanks a lot! I appreciate it.
I think if i was better a Minesweep, then i would know more how to play this, lol, still as i was able to fumble around it, its been a lot of fun. need to make you some music for a project some day.
Thanks! There are instructions on the game page but it would have been nicer if I'd had time to include a tutorial mode in the game itself. Music was going to be done by my brother but he got too busy to contribute in the end. Oh well!
Minesweeper newly interpreted in a almost Picross way :) Love it. Great respect for implementing this huge amount of content and (thankfully) an autosave feature
Thank you for the kind words! Yes, without the autosave, getting through 48 levels would have been tough.
Is there a way to mark a boom square (like the flag in minesweeper)?
Great question. It was part of the plan but it turned out to be very complicated to use when every square is a boom square and you have to juggle several colours. Maybe I will figure out how to make it work in a future version.
Yeah, I understand. Well, once that's added, this is a really great game. It has the intensity of Minesweeper with the satisfaction of Picross. 5/5/5/5
Thanks so much!
