Lovely game! So relaxing. Good job!

The game visuals were nice, but more visual feedback on flowers and what is going on can genuinely help with making the experience less confusing. It’s kind of funny, though, to make a simulator of having problems with something, an interesting idea. Additional like from me for sound design, they are on point. With some polish, the game will be even more awesome!

Moody, relaxing and pretty fun overall. Providing the table of the different stages of flowers was a nice touch, but I was trying accidentaly picking up wrong flowers all the time anyways :)

Good job! It was fun to play and a nice angle on the theme of the jam. I liked the way you gradually increased the difficulty, and the music fit the scene very well.

I really like the concept, that the plants like grow out of control! Very nice and funny :D

Tho, I would suggest changing the mowing controller of the player to a grid based one (Like Pokémon). Hope you know what I mean.

Still, very fun game, was fun to play!

Also feel free to check my game out as well:D

I get you, make the movement more tile based. I'm interested, can you explain why? I put the movement the way I did because the game is loosely based on Stardew Valley and the way it does it's gardening system.

Well okay now I get your point to be honest, I just thought of like it would be easier, at least for me, to hit the flowers. Because in like Stardew valley you can do way more than just planting and pickup up plants. Maybe you get my point. But overall I get your point and its to you to make that decision, both are good :D

Great game! :D

Having an ability that is both beneficial and harmful is really great! And the presentation is awesome too, love the artwork. I wish it was easier to tell the difference between the flowers?

Nice idea. Can be a bit hectic at times but I suppose that's intentional. Overall a good game good job.

Really original idea. The music and atmosphere made me want to keep playing the game. I really like the speech bubble/heart and sfx for a successful delivery :)

The flower art could be improved a little to make them stand out from the back ground and from each other, as well as the different grwoth stages. Since picking the correct amount of each flower is the goal, being able to tell which type of flower is around you and which flowers are fully grown is key to winning. I also couldn't tell when I could walk over a flower and when I couldn't - again, I think this could be signalled more via the art.

Art improvements aside, I liked playing this game!

Thanks for the feedback. Art is my achiles heel and while I did spend some time trying to make them distinct, I think there is an issue with how readable it is. I think I should have used a dirt ground instead, similar to Stardew Valley.

Thanks again!

Love the chaotic nature of this one! Using rock, paper and scissors to categorize the plants was really smart.

Great use of the theme! I had to scroll down while I was playing to learn what the controls were, but once I got the hang of them I was really getting into a good flow of picking flowers, destroying them, and delivering them.

good presentation, and excellent idea

Great !

Somehow calming and stressful at the same time lol

I think I just found my new tagline!

I enjoyed playing this, it was nice and relaxing whilst still fitting the theme of "Out of Control". The whole game felt really nice and pretty.

Really cool game. The music and the graphics are very relaxing. I would like a tutorial level but I guess you ran out of time about that :P Overall great game, loved it!

Your game is really relaxing,  I like the concept a lot.  You should keep working on it! Perhaps make a starting tutorial level with less plants.  I felt a bit overwhelmed at the start XD Congrats on successfully submitting a game to the jam and I hope you learned a lot of new things.  Please check out my game when you have time :D

Great visuals and audio, good job!

I love the rock paper scissors plants. Though I had difficulty figuring out the mechanics of how flowers grow and die depending on their surroundings. Is it supposed to be that sometimes flowers cannot be harvested nor removed, or is that a bug?

Developer

Thank you! The idea is that rotting plants can't be removed or harvested, and plants can only be harvested when they "flower". I'm going to update the instructions on the page to make it clearer.

Thanks, the pictures of the different growth stages helps a lot.

This game was adorable, with loads of charm!! It was a little hard to figure out the different stages of flower growth at first, but once I did it was a fun challenge navigating between dead and harvestable flowers as I tried to deliver as many as I could! Great job, y'all.

Very good idea! Your game is very relaxing to play, and the visuals and sounds are very cute, very good mood. Good job, keep doing games!

Cute idea! It definitely did feel like the flowers were growing out of control. I liked the idea of the rock/paper/scissors plants, but I couldn't really tell which plants were which, because the drawings all looked similar. It seemed like sometimes I couldn't pick the plants, and it was hard to tell why. Overall, a nice idea, but for me it came down to mostly picking things and turning them in as fast as I could without caring much about what they were.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I think I'm going to try and add some more detail to the instructions with some images as guides. I tried to make the plants look different not just in terms of flowers, but also by colour and by type, but there's only so much you can do with pixel art. I think what I'd do is I'd have the seeds laid out so they "look" like their flowers, so like the scissor seeds are laid out like an "X", and the rock seeds a circle, etc.
