This is a really cool game! I love the art style and while the controls got really whacky really quickly, I just about figured it out... The game is pretty intense for a game jam gam, but really great work!

How does your game fit the theme?
It's a puzzle game, where the puzzle designer has no control, the user creates the solution. At the same time, the user randomly glitches the game as they cheat their way through. Glitches also grow uncontrollably, eating the level

Hey thanks a lot for playing!! I'm glad you liked it. Yes the control where a bit wacky by design, but it ended up being not too cool for some people. The idea behind it was that the cheatmaster didn't reall added any buttons, so in order to use it you should've had to share the controls. It's a cool idea, in my head haha. Thank you for playing and the feedback!
That's a really clever and original idea, and the execution is just over the top! I mean, there are bugs, like some objects getting in wrong state or switching it for no reason, or being able to run through closing door / staying in it after it closes, but I can't really tell if that's a problem with a game itself, or with my cheating extension... ;) I really like what you can do with the objects' connections and that there's as many ways to solve each level, as the player can come up with, thanks to the nature of the game. Good stuff!
Hey thanks a loot for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it. The random events happening where part of the cheatmaster side effects, I just did a poor job explaining it, (or maybe it's just a bad mechanic ). There are some collision bugs at some specific places due to rushed level creation, maybe you experienced that too. It needs tons of polishing! haha. Thank you for playing!
Love the presentation, from the physical Game Boy to the hand-written notes to the Misingno-style glitches. Only 90s kids will understand ;-)
It took me a while to get my head around the gameplay, but even when I did, it was a bit fiddly and repetitive. I was impressed by how much you packed in though. Sharper level design (i.e. two gates versus five in single level) might have helped the idea shine through.
Love how committed you are to making it look like an old Gameboy game. I found the idea and game very enjoyable. It is sometimes a little hard to control where to place and item, but besides that well done :)
Very cool-- having all the puzzle elements available to you can be a bit overwhelming though. I gave up on level 5, is there much more after that?
Fantastic work, even though the arts and sounds are not original, it was a great implementation! And I loved the main mechanics! The game is really fun!
It was a pretty cool concept. I got a bit stuck though when I opened the gate in the first part after getting the cheat device but I still couldn't walk though it
The idea is great! Would like a lot bigger screen for the "actual" game.
I don't know what to do when the cheatmaster is plugged in? I can place a gate, link it to a switch, and then nothing happens? I'm stuck in the starting area.
Hey that was a fun puzzle game!
I like the gameboy presentation, and the scribbled notes over the instructions.
Took me back to the 90s when I had hand drawn maps of my games with notes written all around!
I loved the missingno. esque glitching in this game.
Puzzles were fun and it was a great concept! I think I appreciate that struggling with the controls with the cheating device are the basis for the puzzles but sometimes I think maybe I felt like I was struggling a little too much.
But that's the only think I could say. Overall this is such a fun concept.
The controls felt off after inserting the CheatMaster. I think moving the character and the target at the same time was just sort of confusing. Having some way of toggling the cheat master controls on and off would have been preferable. It's an interesting concept though, and the visuals look cohesive and polished.
