How does your game fit the theme?
Two ways: 1) Since the controls also controls themselves, the player needs to constantly keep track of where the controls is, otherwise they would be literally "out of control", 2) Moving too close to the edge can temporarily remove the ability to walk in a certain direction because the control keys are out of bound, so you will be out of control temporary

This is a crazy idea! I love it though, haven't seen anything like it before. You really have to focus to stay in control, and sometimes you have to plan ahead to move the controls to a suitable location so you don't run off the edge of the keyboard. Great concept!

I do wonder if it works with foreign keyboard layouts, where the keys are in different places...

Developer

It doesn't work with other keyboard layouts, that's an oversight on my part and I apologies for that

It's probably OK to have that in a Games Jam game... Unless you happen to be French I guess! I don't even know how you'd fix it for a different layout. I'd assume if you were doing this as a real commercial game you'd end up with a massive collections of keyboards from around the world. I don't think Unity gives you a positional API for keys.

Very creative idea! I made it to level 3, I couldn't figure out how to move to the left when you're next to the flag. I would like some kind of indication what the current keys are. At the moment, you have to restart the entire level if you loose track.

My brain got completely broken for a minute there. Understanding why pressing the same button moved you down and backup was neat. Then also trying to figure out how to move against walls to reposition on the keyboard. very "okay". Wish there was some more ambient sound or something. Good puzzle game!

Really clever idea! Steep learning curve, but satisfying once you get the hang of it

fun puzzle game - key binds keep you on your toes!

My brain died in the process, but the game is extremely fun. How did you even come up with that? :D

Developer

I hit my head on my chair. (No kidding)

Didn't quite get it to start with but once I did I really enjoyed it, I hope you continue this in the future!

GENIUS take on the theme. Extremely clean execution as well!

REALLY unique and interesting game, the puzzles were really well designed and fun. The game lends itself really well to the minimalist graphics. Great entry

Took me a few goes to "get it", but once I understood I really enjoyed it. A proper good puzzle mind bender!

Submitted

Nice! That was mind bending xD

Really original idea, I love how you can come up with this in such a short time period. You only lacked a little bit of polishing (but it's a jam, so a lot of people are missing that myself included).

I made it to level 5 but I'm still a bit confused.

Submitted

Really made me think to try to keep track of my next moves. Well done!

Very interesting. The fact that you have to take advantage of the maze to complete it makes it quite fun TBH!

Original Idea cool.
