I first I was "oh no spiders" then "yeah kill them all!"

Cute art!

Nicely done. I didn't expect the bullet physics but it was fun that way. The first time the moving spider appeared, I got a jump scare since It was near me and I didn't expect it to move.

Very great job, for a 4-hour jam!
I somehow find it hilarious when my bullet hits an enemy bullet and starts spinning randomly.

Developer

Thank you kindly

Nice & simple but kidda lacks the variety, still good job.

That was one spiny dude =) good job!

I think the game would benefit a lot from sound. This would give a little bit more feedback about what is going on the screen. Saying that I really enjoyed the game. I love the spiders :D. They are soooo cute!

Really loved the character and its cute animation! Its a fun cute game.

Would be amazing if you add some music and visual feedback.A good spooder Boss Fight!!

Meme game, funny sprites and a bit annoying :)

Cool game :D

Love the spider sprites, and I like how the spider gets pushed back by the first projectile. The boss was well done too. I didn't expect the boss to do anything too interesting but then it shot back at me! I do agree with the previous comments that some more feedback on hit would be great, maybe a sound effect plus a bit of screenshake or something.

This feels like the golden days of flash games! It's a cute concept, would benefit greatly from some sound though :)

Great job! A very clean interpretation of the theme. Some things you may want to explore in the future are more visual feedback for when you hit the spiders or get hit, and some instructions as it took me a minute until I realized I was supposed to go collect the spine. That said, I liked the enemy variety and how the character felt to move around. Excellent job!

Developer

Thank man, yeah it needs some instructions. Stay tune for the next iteration

One day I'll find a way to archive that. Right now I'm a one man army, but yeah sound design will make it better. BTW awesome game

Nice job! I like the character design and how he is animated.

Developer

Only the legs are animated, but thanks

Great job! I really liked your boss design, very classic solid phase design.

It's a great mechanic for rougelike game, so continue working, it has great potential!

Submitted(+1)

Really nice concept! It has the potential of being a great base for a game :) You should iterate over it. You could try to add weaker enemies, having only 1 enemy fits the jam but it makes the game feel "slow".
Adding a few "one shot" enemies will make the player search  the "bounce" element and can make him feel smart when having a "multiple kill".
Great job!!

Developer(+1)

That's a great idea for the next iteration, thanks!!!

Awesome and Simple game. But the shooting can be made smoother, also try adding bounce to the bullet! I have made a similar game to yours check it here -> https://sahil13.itch.io/one-golden-sword

Developer(+1)

I played your game and now I understand you. You can bet it will be bouncier for the next iteration
