Today I learned that I'm terrible at golf, lol, but it was a very fun game!

Developer

Sorry that you found that out playing our game, that's no fun :(

Hopefully you still enjoyed the game! Thanks for playing!

Its a lot of fun.

Glad I got the chance to play your game. The planets and courses are so cute and the game has a very casual and relaxing feel to it. Mechanics were perfect for me. Very tiny minor glitch where I saw the out of bounds message when it shouldn't (i.e. after hitting the hole), but otherwise very smooth running. If you're looking to continue working on the game post jam, maybe add a bit more variety in the planets (i.e. differently colored buildings etc.) but within the limitations of the jam it's perfect!

Developer

Glad you liked the visuals! It was all thanks to my teammate who made the assets himself!

Good to know- I think I already know the cause of that... do you remember which hole that was?

We talked about 3 more different types of planets in addition to the one you saw, but didn't have time to finish all of those before the deadline, but still super proud of what we were able to accomplish- thanks for playing our game!

Definitely one of my top games in this jam so far! The visuals are just so good, and the mechanics very polished. Got some minor issues during my playtime: the menu/pause button doesn't work in Hole 6, and sometimes I get 'Out of bounds' even though I haven't even played yet, maybe it's only in the webgl version since I haven't tried the downloadable one (Webgl is so frustrating to work with ahhh!! >_<)

Also pretty proud of my little achievement here x) https://vimeo.com/1088344576?share=copy

Developer(+1)

Dang nice shot there! Didn't think a hole in 2 was possible there. WebGL is frustrating. Unfortunately, the Web build hurts us a lot.  The title is messed up, the instructions got screwed up, and all the UI looks bad, and the flag waving in the wind is just gone. If you get the chance to play the downloaded version, you will enjoy it! Thanks for playing! I enjoyed your game as well.

Really good game , had fun playing! good job

Developer

Thank you! Glad you got a chance to play our game!

Submitted

Really good game! I found myself playing this for so long! I was able to beat hole 8 (which was the same as hole 3?!). Great job overall!

Developer

Yeah, the idea was to reuse holes 1-5 to get some more out of them, but add a few obstacles to get a slight variation on each one. We may have missed doing that for hole 8 :) I am really glad you enjoyed our game, thanks for playing and thanks for pointing that out!

Submitted

Hey so really uniqe and cool game, the webGL seems to have some problems when not in fullscreen, other than that a 4/5 really cool  aesthetics might play it more after the jam

The problem is that some of the text overlaps when not fullscreen

Developer

We originally had it only download to avoid a few of those issues, but enough people asked for a webgl build so we put one together in an incomplete state to allow for that opportunity. You can tell it wasn't designed for webgl, but thanks for playing our game! Would love to know what we could do better / differently for future reference to improve from a 4/5 to a 5/5!

This is such a fun game! I wanted to leave a quick review before I forget, because I am definitely going to sick some time into this one.

On level three right now, and it turns out I'm not better at minigolf on a miniplanet than I am in real life, so I don't think I'll be making par.

Honestly though, really great job on this one. I could see this being expanded into a full release game.

Developer(+1)

Good luck on getting par! We have a level select, too if you need to go back and try again later lol. But thank you! We are thinking about expanding on this idea for a full release... Thanks for playing our game!

Submitted(+1)

Honestly, a full release of this would be awesome. If you do go that route, let me know, I'll wish list it. :)

Submitted

No longer seem to be able to play the game?

Developer(+1)

Trying to get a webgl version uploaded but running into difficulties, sorry, I'll message you when I get it figured out!

Developer(+1)

Just fixed it! (I forgot to check that it was playable in browser, oops!)

Submitted(+1)

No worries, thanks for the speedy update! Off to play it now.

Submitted

Awesome Work! As others have said, would have loved a web version but I decided to take a chance and download it and it gave exactly what it promised. I could see this being a fun party game to play with friends if you built on it! Sound woes aside, the game just felt good. Congrats!

Developer(+1)

Glad you took a chance, and glad you liked it! I would be interested to hear about the sound woes... was it too loud when launching?

Submitted

Exactly - just a bit loud. I had my volume up as I had been listening to music. Once I adjusted, there weren't any really problems. Like I said, a very minor problem

Developer

Good to know, thank you!

Submitted

nice work. I would love to make a game like that with a tiny globe where gravity pulls into it. Looked very well executed. You could definitely expand on this and take it even further but seemed very good already for a Jam game.

Developer

Yeah, we talked about adding multiple planets, or bigger ones where you could almost "explore" the planet as you looked for a way to the hole, but settled on small scale planets (fits the theme better, maybe??). Thanks for playing!

Cool game!

This is definitely one of the more complete feeling games I've played this jam, nice job. Only suggestions would be to add some SFX when putting and like other have said, add a web version.

Developer

Sfx when putting is an interesting idea - we have a few in the game so I wonder if the volume was turned off, or if you meant something else - what part of the swing were you hoping their would be sfx? thanks for the feedback!

Submitted

Hmm I was thinking when the ball collides with any solid surface. If you added it though maybe my sound was just really low or something

Submitted

Cool game, pretty clean design. Noticed that you have what I think is a web-build but you have probably not ticked the little box in settings that says "will be played in browser" or changed the play mode in there, so its not showing up as a browser game. Good work!

Developer

We had tried to upload a web browser version after, but the UI was set for a full screen experience and there were a few other bugs so we had to take it down. I could look into trying to get that up again after a few more fixes, but I am not sure if that would break the "heart" of the jam by making those changes outside of the timeline to upload.  Thanks for playing!

Developer(+1)

WebGL is up with only minor bugs. Go play it now!

Submitted

Cool game with nice graphics and interesting gameplay!

The only drawback is that the default volume settings are set to maximum, which almost blew my eardrum. Also, when switching from the menu to the game and from the game to the menu, the volume settings are reset. Otherwise, everything is fine. :)

Developer

Good find! I knew there was something strange with the volume and I was unsure - but I will look into it! I had to do a hotfix (second version) since the volume default was set to 0 in the first version, so some people never heard the audio. I'm sorry it hurt your eardrums though... but at least you got to hear the music, made by my teammate! Thanks for playing!

Submitted

This is a really good, graphics are excellent. Loved the concept and gameplay. You need a web version so more people see it. Nice job.

Developer

Thank you! We tried a web version, but the UI was not set properly so we would have to fix it which might go against some of the rules / expectations for the jam. We would love for more people to play it, thought, so we may consider it! Thanks for the suggestion!

Developer

WebGL available. Go play it now!

Submitted

Your game is a lot of fun! The controls are easy to learn, and the difficulty feels just right on each of the 10 levels. I got a hole in 1 on one of them! I really like the visuals as well. They reminded me so much of the visuals of Super Mario Galaxy. Nice job!

Developer

Good job getting a hole in 1! Thanks for all the positive things you said about our game, it means a lot! And who can complain about a comparison to a great game like mario galaxy B)

Submitted

Incredibly well done. Nice gradual increase to the difficulty. I would love to see this more fleshed out. There's so many different puzzles you could build onto this! I did make it to the end, but I got under par maybe once the whole way through.

Developer(+1)

Good observation on the difficulty! Some were set when we had slightly different gravity controls, so adjusting the par level took a back burner, but something we would have to consider moving forward! I would love to get more into the puzzle aspect of how these type of physics would change how someone would play / think about a mini golf game! Thanks for playing our game!

Amazing. This is a full game! I haven't played through yet, but several putts in and scenes later, this is how I hope to get my game working like.  Thanks for the inspiration!

Developer

You are too kind! Thank you for playing!

P.S. - loved your story for your game!

Can't wait to play- I see two downloads on the page, the newer one looks like the real deal! (Butler worked great for me, after setting it up)
