Great job on this. Wow this shows how much care went into the whole thing.

there no words to describe this work man, really I'm mesmerized looking the way you have created such an awesome game ,really i like it buddy ,everything including UI designing ,the camera tracking and the modelling more over the concepts suits really well .you got my complete rating man.keep it up.
One of the best 3D games in this Jam. Everything looks and feels so nice during game play. Good job!
This is really nicely polished, Sound, music, graphics, gameplay is all there.
The menu was great with all the balls flying around!
Holy moly what a game! Out of all the 3d games i've played in this jam this one is probably the best looking one, I love the planet effect and (i'm assuming it's your idea cause i do not play much golf games) that you added a dungeon (as in find a right way in a maze) aspect to golf.
Some feedback:
1. Sometimes the camera twists around the ball (i'm pretty sure it hapens when you cross "equator" of the planet) and it is really disorienting, especially at high speeds.
2. The power meter feels like it scales very slowly at first and very fast closer to the end, so it's hard to give the ball the amount of enertia you want
3. On hole 5 if you try to shorcut from the open road (like a tight road with no walls) to the hole you might get stuck on buildings next to a hole and at first it doesn't register as out of bounds, then after the first shot you make there it does, but does not teleport you back to the course
4. Hole 9 was honestly too hard, the way i got closest was to get on top of the trees and try to get it in from there but you don't get enough velocity there so it honestly doesn't seem possible
5. If you tickle the ball (just do short strokes) before it stops it adds a bit of velocity
6. Main menu button doesn't work till you press escape once more
The camera is not my favorite, I agree, but I ended up spending three days on it and called it good enough to focus on other details. Now that we have finished the jam, I'm thinking about approaching it differently, but good to know I am not alone in how the camera is not ideal and worth the time to get it right.
I agree, the power meter needs some working - one of the things we didn't have time to really playtest and tweak which was unfortunate.
Good to note on the out of bounds on a building! We noticed that, but again, didn't have time to fix it... this came together in a rush, so we're proud of where it ended, but yeah, still a lot to work on / fix! Thanks for including a reference picture, too!
Hole 9 was suppose to behave similarly to hole 4 just with an added obstacle, but we noticed afterwards that most of the time it doesn't behave the same way, so we may have to rework the physics or remove the level. I was able to complete it once in testing, but not a single time in any of our builds.
I wonder what you mean - as in the ball is almost about to stop and you try hitting it again and it adds more velocity? I will look into this, thanks for playing with some of the finer details!
Strange, I wonder if that is a WebGL bug, another thing to look into.
Wow, so much feedback, thank you so much!! Greatly appreciate taking this seriously and helping us improve! This means a lot!
Pretty solid golf game with nice art! I miss getting total score per hole, I think it was 26 on total.
On hole 9 the UI tricks you thinking you can evade the rock when trying to go from right, it shows as a "clean" shot but it hits on it anyway. Music on level 7 or 8 is a little too loud or estrendous.
Total score is a great reminder! The UI preview of the shot is a little strange, thanks for noting that! And the music is randomly selected after one track plays, so I wonder which track was a little loud- we will have to look into that, thanks for the feedback, and thanks for playing our game!
(PS, I deleted one of your messages since I think your message got posted twice, just an FYI - if you intentionally wanted a second post, please, by all means ;P )
After 44 swings on Hole 9 I'm ready to admit defeat.
In the Windows version, the Music and Sound settings were always set to 0 at the start of every scene, for some reason.
Other than those things, though, it's a very well put together game. It was hard for me to judge how much power I was using at any time, but I suppose that's more skill at the game than anything.
Haha yeah, some of the levels were put together in a rush and that was a tough one - 10 was just mean, so maybe its good you stopped there XD
We fixed that issue in the web gl, but not the windows version, so we will need to make those changes on the windows version, too, thank you for pointing that out. I agree on the power, I think I would want it to be more accurate, so thank you for mentioning that, too!
Thanks for playing our game!
Cool game I really like the way it looks and I got a hole in one on the windmill the first time the second time I couldn't get pass the rocks. This was a really good game.
Nice little golf game! Cool concept. I found a little hard to correlate the length of the aim trail to the strength of the hit. I found myself imagining to hit it hard, and then, get a little push XD but it's fine, I went over it eventually
It was a really fun golf game to play. I wanted to play on browser but the game never worked, so I download it, but it might be something to look into. Good job !
This is wonderful. Super chill and really impressive visually. Saving this one for later!
I enjoyed this entry! I love mini golf with wacky mechanics, so I need a full game like this. I also liked the art in general.
On the bad side, I will say that the controls are somewhat clunky, and even though I’m not prone to motion sickness I feel like the camera could lead to some of that (nothing some polish couldn’t fix).
Still, super fun game!
Glad you liked the art! My teammate made it, so I will point out your comment to him! And thanks for the feedback on the camera! I agree that it wasn't my favorite in the end, but I had worked for a few days on the camera script and decided I was done XD
Still trying to figure out the best way to adjust the camera, so if you have more specifics on what behavior you didn't like, that would help! Thanks again for playing our game!
I had a lot of fun with this one! I found the gravity mechanic fascinating and something new for a golf game! The only thing I struggled with was (and this is just probably a me thing) is I misinterpret the strength of the hit with the size of the arrow - it's slightly larger than how hard I actually hit it. maybe it's just my point of reference with other games (maybe if there was the shape but a bar at the bottom to demonstrate the relative strength like in golf with your friends?). All in all a really fun and challenging game at times :)) congrats on you submission <3<3
Fantastic entry, I'm super impressed with what you put together here. It looks and plays super polished, from spherical physics, aesthetics and very fitting & calm music to the level design and possibilities to play around for example with ramps (which did definitely always get me out of bounds). Very impressive work!
Thank you for your kind words! It was a ton of work, but super worth it to see positive comments like yours! We definitely have already started about how we want to expand on this idea because we liked it so much!
Also, just have to brag about my teammate a little bit - he wrote and made the songs for the game in addition to all its visual assets! So I am glad you enjoyed the music and aesthetics!
