Nice game, but unfortunately I ran into a bug that made it unplayable :/ After picking up an item, an invisible collider appeared that blocked my path. Still, I appreciate the game — I really liked the music.
The player moves via NavMesh, so since the levels are generated procedurally something is going on with the NavMesh baking (only once the game is built for some reason). But it doesn't happen with every seed, so sometimes you can refresh the page and get a better seed. If anyone knows why this might be happening I'm all ears, I haven't quite figured it out yet. I'm sorry it happened in your play. Thank you for playing though!
Fun idea and well executed. The movement felt smooth. The procedural generation was a nice idea. Collecting the dust bunnies was satisfying. Overall, a solid jam entry with good potential for expansion
Score 500! Did I win? =) There was one dust bunny that seemed to be behind an invisible wall. Fun game! Thanks for the submission!
Yeah, it sounds like the NavMesh didn't bake correctly. I am working on a fix. Thank you for playing!
This game was impressive! There were a couple of generation issues with moving around, I had to refresh to get a working level. But after that, it was really fun. I enjoyed how it was procedurally generated and how the game loop was simple. Maybe there could be a tutorial or some sort of indicator on your objective but it was really engaging. Well done!
What a huge compliment! It was only my 3rd game I've made for a jam, and my first to ever dabble in procedural generation of any sort. There were many bugs upon building that didn't show up in the editor, so that's been an adventure. I'm glad you were able to work around the "bad seeds" and enjoy the game. Thank you for your patience, and thanks for playing!
Great work! The concept is cool, and the music is relaxing. It could use a bit more development in the game loop and progression, but overall, nice job!
Nice~ congrat on finishing a game~ nice procedural gen.
The game feels fun like a flash game back in the days, tho I needed a moment to figure out that I can just hold the button to move smoothly. There are some occasional bugs to the bunnies, but over all the game has great potential. :D
Fun flash game, wow thank you. I consider that a huge compliment! Yes, I really tried to contain the project from the start and have a clear idea of what I would be able to accomplish within the time, especially since life is much right now and I knew I wouldn't have much time to devote. I was able to squash several bugs, but not all it seems. First time incorporating procedural generation, and it got complicated real fast when it came build time. Thank you for playing!
haha fun idea, concept and story!
Thank you for playing!
It was amusing, about originality it's the first game I see with this kind of movement, really liked it. Like the others, I played on the web build, invisible walls at some points, and I never managed to suck up entirely more than rabbits ! Good job !
Yes, the NavMesh is still not baking quite how I'd like. Though I believe I did fix the level building on top of itself. There were many kinks I had to discover and work out regarding building a game that uses procedural level generation... I had no idea when I started it would be this much of a problem. The build creating process has been much more involved this time around.
I invite you to try the downloadable version if you haven't already and see if it is any more stable. Thank you so much for playing!
Nice work! Movement felt snappy and responsive. It was fun just to drive around. I think this could serve as a good groundwork for many more games. Well done.
Thank you for the amazing compliment!
A few bugs were noticed as mentioned in other comments so I wont dwell on them, however perhaps adding a more defined meter of collecting the bunnies and other objects is in order? Right now its not entirely clear how close I have to be before the bunnies start to shrink and which objects should or should not be touched (they all kinda vaguely shrink currently). Otherwise love what you were going for and the story could be fantastic if you expand it a little more :). Awesome job!!
So I have updated and also added a downloadable version, just to attempt to reduce issues that might be caused via browser. I have definitely squashed the geometry doubling up on itself issue! However, the navmesh is still occasionally not baking properly in some seeds. The downloadable version seems to be better about this, but still rare occurrences.
The buildings are designed to be worth more points, but eat up your time. They are designated as "long-shrink". The idea is the player has to risk some time to get more points, and they have to stay on the building for longer. Whereas the bunnies suck up instantly.
Thank you so much for playing!
Was really fun to roam around the world as a vacuum and oddly satisfying to clean the entire level! Music and SFX is really well done, fits the theme perfectly, and art style is great.
One thing I noticed is in the browser build, some items don't get removed completely(remain at a certain size) and as you go further in the game, the tiles seem to place on top of each other, preventing the player from moving in some parts(but this happened only rarely in my case)
Overall a really fun submission to play, well done!
Yeah, I'll admit I'm a bit stumped on this one. I thought it was the browser build, but I think it's deeper than that. I built a version for download and it still has the level geometry problem where the platforms are being spawned on top of eachother, and I'm not sure why. It's my first go-round with procedural generation so it's been an adventure. I'll figure it out eventually. Glad you had fun with it!
Didn't know that being a vacuum could be this fun.
There were some bugs, some houses were floating once you cross over them once and couldn't finish vacuuming them. But I think it has potential and with a little polishing it can be a nice game to play.
I am truly inspired that you had so much fun, despite the bugs that I promise you are driving me crazy right now. Thank you for this incredible compliment.
As mentioned a few collison issues but certainly a fun experience. !
Okay, looks like you know about the issues with Z-fighting or multiple procedural generations occurring on top of each other or whatever it is. so I won't reiterate that here or rate just yet. But I will note instead that I enjoyed the graphics, the music, and zipping the little robot around to do his chores. It's a very pleasant aesthetic, and I hope you get your browser-buid issues sorted out promptly 🤖
So update: I have patched the web version a bit AND also added a downloadable option that is a bit more stable. If you have a second, try them out and let me know if it plays a bit better. NavMesh is still a bit confused in some seeds I've found, but the proc gen level geometry is no longer stacking on itself! I feel confident that I found what was causing that particular issue.
Like others mentioned, there were some collision issues for me as well. I like the concept and look of the game though!
Dust bunies!!! Made by literal bunnies, what a great idea!!!! Lovely game. Very fun.
Thanks! No joke, this was a dream I had like 2 years ago. I woke up and wrote it down. It's surreal to be at a point now where I can kind of make something from that idea after all this time.
Haha it was quite fun cleaning xD. Though the ground at some places had some bad collision, couldn't vroom there, or was it some invisible wall idk, anyway otherwise pretty good! After bug fixes would certainly vroom more bunnies xD.
Oh there were def some bugs. Player moves via NavMesh, so vroomy was absolutely getting confused that there were two grounds in some places... I'm still not sure what happened in the building process. I might need to upload a downloadable version instead of html5. Might be something with the browser. Glad you had fun with it, thanks for playing!
I would agree with already written comments, but overall nice entry. Good work thank you for sharing you work.
Thank you for playing!
I like the idea a lot but I kept restarting to get a better area and my map was always small with no objects to "clean". I love the idea and the movement is great!
