シンプルで素敵なゲームです! Hi!  I like your game and your youtube channel!  I've found a lot of cool games from your channel and your collections on itch.io.  Looking forward to seeing more of your games!

Can you please release this game for Mac as well?  I promise you I will buy it if there is a Mac release!

Any chance you can support Mac? I'd be happy to test any Mac build if that would help you support it.

Just tried the new version.  I'm liking the UI updates!

Hi guys, I made this game for GameDevTV Game Jam 2025!

You are a ball of replicating stem cells that is trying to increase it's growth rate while also defending itself from bad guys.

My concept: numbers-go-up mechanics of cookie clicker + bad guys that make said numbers go down.

I'm happy with what I was able to scrape together in such a short time frame and learned a whole lot about incremental and tower defense mechanics.  Thank you to everyone who played and/or rated my submission!

Thank you for your help!

I emailed support as you suggested and received my course very shortly after.  Yay!

Thanks for your reply. It seems some of us have not yet received any email.  I will try reaching them through Discord.

Ok good to know.  Thank you!

EDIT:  Here's the response I got on the GameDevTV discord:

Anyone who hasn't received the email to their email associated with their itch account can email support@gamedev.tv
If you'd like to DM me I can help you."

--- my original post follows ---

Did everyone get an email for the free course?  I haven't yet received anything.

Here's the game I submitted, if it helps.

I’ve asked in Discord as well. I couldn’t find an appropriate room so I just asked in the lounge.

This is like space invaders on steroids.  The constant drip of perks is suuuper addictive.  Well done.

Thanks a lot for trying it out!

I enjoyed the bullet catching/shooting mechanics as well as dodging the crosshairs.  I also think you varied the patterns of the incoming bullets well to keep it varied through each stage.

Awesome, thanks a lot for the detailed info! In upcoming builds I will see if I can make any improvements to performance though I'm not sure how much difference it will make.  Thanks again.

Hi there!  Thanks a lot for letting me know about the performance issues.  The cell in the middle is a low poly sphere.  The enemies are all single quad/tri.  I do have a whole bunch of shaders running so it could be those?  I'm pretty new to game dev and shaders so I'm sure I've done many things that are not optimal.

By any chance can you share any info about your setup?  For example which browser your using and any relevant computer specs?  If not, no worries.  Thanks again for the heads up and for attempting to play my game!

Ah I see ok I'll try to think of some more stuff to do with the mouse!  Thanks for the great suggestions!

Hi there, I tried to download the demo from steam on Mac but I get the "Invalid Platform" message.  However when I download from itch.io I can in fact run the game.

Is it possible to make the MacOS version from steam work for new Macs / 64 bit?

Nice game!  Did you draw all this art?  That's crazy!  I think it would be good if you could move and shoot at the same time.  Well done.

Thanks, I will check it out now!

Thanks!  Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks a lot!

Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to play!

awesome, thanks a lot for trying it out!  I will be updating it after the jam ends if you’re interested in seeing it grow.  Thanks again!

thank you so much for the feedback. It seems lots of people die on wave 8 so in an upcoming build I will tweak that wave so the enemies are a bit more spaced out.

Thanks for mentioning the desire to do more with the cursor. I will try to think of something more for the player to do in downtime . I didn’t want to make a click-for-cells system because then the game economy is really hard to balance and anything can be overcome with rapid fire auto clicker.

Do you have any ideas for what you’d like to do with your mouse in that downtime?

I will revisit cursor warmth. I made it so for the opening few seconds the only thing you can afford is cursor warmth. My hope is that by doing so people would figure out how to use the shop in the sidebar and also learn about the tooltips on hover.  If the user has cursor warmth right from the start how do I teach them about it without a tutorial?

I’m glad that you eventually figured it out. My goal is for the gameplay rules to be discoverable without explicit tutorial. But I will rethink this and for the full version maybe I’ll put in an optional tutorial that provides more info.

Reallly appreciate your feedback!

This was fun, reminded me of an old game called rampage!  The game was really difficult, it's hard not to get shot by the tiny bullets and it's also hard to see them.  That stomp felt very powerful.  I died in that gap early on so many times, I wish it wasn't there or that it wasn't an instant kill.

Well done.  The beams of light showing where the eggs are was a very good decision.  Why were the chickens constantly exploding though?!  Mouse look felt a bit sensitive but overall the movement was fluid and intuitive

Hey, I honestly think this concept is amazing. I would much prefer it if I had to type the spaces and punctuation. I instinctively was typing them but it was considered wrong! Or make it so it automatically recognizes both the spaces/punctuation as correct for people who type them, or skips over them without penalty for people that don't.

Also, I think the writing was hilarious but it's too hard to read the incoming messages. Perhaps make it larger? Also I think the text/bg color combos could use more contrast.

Overall, love the concept and think this could be a really good typing game. Oh and the inclusion of the temple run aspect is genius. So yeah, the combination of typing and dodging is awesome.

Hi, I'm copy/pasting this from r/playmygame

That machine gun feels really, really juicy. I wish it had a longer range but perhaps that is unlocked with upgrades. It took me a while to find the UI showing my remaining ammo and I was actively looking for it. I wonder if you tried putting it closer to your health indicator? Maybe even putting the coin count up there as well? Well, I'm not a designer so take that with a grain of salt.

I think the game feels really, really good.

May I ask what your future plans for it are?

Amazing idea.  This game made me feel like I could be a successful streamer lol.  I think the initial progress was  a bit too slow.  Awesome job though and great idea.  I hope you flesh this out further.

You had some really neat concepts! I liked the night/day concept to vary gameplay and it was fun watching my trees grow.  I was having an issue with moths mostly spawning offscreen?  I often spent night time just waiting without anything to shoot at.  The graphics and cover art look awesome.

One of the most unique entries I've played so far.  Voice acting was very well done.  I wish the game would save progress because I accidentally reloaded the page after playing for quite a long time and then I had to start from the beginning again.

Nice game with some really interesting ideas.  I like that I could directly shoot things but also summon others to shoot for me.  I feel like you could really improve this a lot with just some small tweaks to control sensitivity and maybe a longer shooting range?  Well done.

That's a really cool concept.  Was there a game that you took inspiration from?  I've never seen this card stacking / investigation mechanic before.  At times I didn't know what to do so I just randomly put cards together to see if something worked.

Love the concept.  I felt like I was living through attack on titan.  I feel like this could be amazing if you keep working on it and address the issues people are mentioning in the other comments.  Well done.  This actually inspired me to want to make a similar game.

Nice work!  Movement felt snappy and responsive.  It was fun just to drive around.  I think this could serve as a good groundwork for many more games.  Well done.

The game looks great!  I agree with many of the over comments.  Mouse sensitivity was a bit too high.  It would be great if the enemies reacted to being shot.  Overall, good work!

Great job with your game!  You made good use of the assets.  The zombies appeared to be floating in the are, at least on my computer.  I think the gameplay would feel better if the sword responded to the mouse click faster and made a wider arc.  The music was eerie and set the mood for the game well!
