really impressive work. pulling off multiplayer in a jam is very impressive. the visuals were great, especially the shift from bright shallows to darker depths. controls felt smooth and the mouse-aimed torpedoes nice. the mechanic for collecting coins was good. would love to see more to explore or interact with in future updates
A very nice project! Just having multiplayer in a jam game is impressive on its own. I found the pirates a bit tough—they don’t give quite enough points for the effort. But that’s really just nitpicking. Great job overall!
Nice game. Haven't checked the multiplayer mode, played it with local mode. Aesthetically pleasing, i liked that we have bright color hues at the top and dark and creepy hues at the bottom of the sea. Nice background on the surface of the sea. Controls are really good and i liked the torpedo mechanism that is controlled by a mouse. Keep up the good work :)
Love the game, it looks and feels good, I am only disappointed no servers were up when I played, so I played against only AI, tho it's not your fault at all, may have to come back and check it out with my friends!
Cool game!
What a lovely game, kind of calming, even though its underwater action, really good, i loved it!
A surprisingly relaxing experience! 🌊 Steering the submarine through coins and enemies with that calm soundtrack feels almost zen. A great mix of light action and chill vibes
Didn't except it to be a multiplayer game! Didn't have anyone to play with, but I can imagine this being as addictive as something like agar.io with more mechanics. The game is also well polished too, great one!
I'm really impressed you made a multiplayer game for a game jam. I didn't get to try it with someone but still really enjoyed playing. I think it's a shame that non-browser games often get overlooked as I think this is really one of the better games I've played in this jam. The controls felt smooth. The music was perfect. Really fantastic job.
that would make a great game like the other io games on the web browsers, i didn't get to try it with someone but i see the potentional so great job!
This is a lovely little gem. It's a shame I had nobody to play it with, but killing bots was almost just as fun. Making a multiplayer game for a game jam is something, don't see many multiplayers. I respect the choice. Congrats on getting it finished!
Nice aesthetics and great work on the game. I love the style you went for and feels quite calming despite combat being there
I USUALLY dont download games, but took a chance with this one. It looks great. I think the overall Aesthetic is the best part about the game. I enjoyed how you used light and how it changed when you went deeper. I thought the mechanics were solid for whats there - good sub control, realistic feeling of navigation (maybe a bit too forgiving). I was impressed with the SOUND you used for the projectiles from the pirate ships because it just made it feel like I really was underwater and in the deep ocean (speaking to the Aesthetic again). I think its great that you appear to have added multiplayer but I was alone in my game - which I think for a jam is probably to be expected, but it would be cool to play with a few other real players. I was left wanting "more" - more to explore, more to find - treasure, a wreckage/device, exotic fish etc. You've got a lot of scope to develop this if you want to and there aren't that many underwater games around - gave me Dave the Diver vibes for a second there! Good submission and well done :)
Glad to know you enjoyed it!
Really happy you mentioned the explosion sounds because fun fact, they are actually an edited snapping shrimp sound that I used to make it sound more underwater!
Agreed I need to improve the number of things to do, see and interact with, as well as adding more variations of the pirate subs to make it more enjoyable, so those will be the next things I'm gonna work on for this game in the future.
Thanks for the feedback!
