The strength of this entry is the mood/music/story. I was not able to find where to deliver the letters as I got lost, hopped on some garbage bags and ended up stuck out of bounds. The letters were relatable and heavy, and I loved the title screen/menu. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that where to deliver the letters was not completely clear, I feel like that’s something I would work on.  thanks again, and I’m glad you liked the game and I’m sorry you found it relatable. Hope you are okay

i liked the sad music and the letters it was so much emotions i could relate to, the idea of delivering letters was really good, Great Job!

Thanks for the feedback! I’m sorry you relate to the themes in the game, I hope you are okay! Thanks again, it means a lot!

no need to apologize, you did pretty well! and i love that kind of heart touching games 😁

The idea of using the same level with more and more changes works really well. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past level 3, but the visual effect of the "missing texture" platforms is really effective. Overall, it's a solid submission. Good job!

Developer

Thank you so much! If you can remember, what did you get stuck on in level 3? I understand that one probably has the most unusual jumps out of all the levels. Thanks for all the positive comments though!

It was just the sequence of jumps that was hard for me. I kept dying and restarting from the beginning. But that's probably because I'm usually not very good at platformers ^^'

Developer

Ah okay thanks. I didn't really have anyone to playtest the game properly before I released it so some of the jumps proved quite difficult. Thanks so much for the feedback!

Nice job. I liked the mood from the music - it was spot on. Story was definitely the main focus and you pulled off some emotional depth there. Exploring the town worked well and the idea with delivering letters was good. well done

Damn, what a deep game. Well done for making this.

Unexpectedly deep game with atmospheric music!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Glad the game had the desired effect

Great game and story! Does the game end after delivering the letter to Max and collecting all bonus letters?

Developer

There are four different levels each with their own main letter and bonus letters. You don’t have to collect the bonus letters, but they add to the storyline. The game finishes with a message. To get between levels you need to find the brown door after delivering the main letter to each character.

This game made me sad man, but it was pretty well executed. I couldn't find all the letters and it would be smart maybe to remove the icons of letters you already found, because I found myself going back to the same ones over and over after a while. I hope this game has nothing to do with your own mental state, but if it does, here is a virtual hug for you. :)

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! That point about the letters disappearing is a good idea, thank you for that. I’m glad the game’s message was well portrayed. And thanks again!

A good game submission but with sad stories. Still a very good job in making it!

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad the game is coming across the way I wanted, at least I gave it a somewhat good ending.

Nice submission, I liked exploring the little town. The story was sad and it looks like a lot of thought went into it. I had diffculty with the jumping and only figured out where to go by looking at the screenshots. This has potential, I'd love to see where you take it if you decide to expand it!

Developer

Thanks a lot! The story was 100% the main part of the game I focused on, I wanted to really show what high-functioning depression felt like I agree that the jumping was quite difficult, especially in areas where other walls collided with the players. But thanks so much for the feedback!

Nice game! I wasn't sure where I was supposed to deliver the letter and ended up reading all the bonus letters. It's a sad story :(

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I agree its not completely clear where to go, if you want to go back to it, all the characters are on top of buildings on the levels. Thanks again!

It's a game that reminds me of a simulation world where people walk around. I felt that the sun and the shadow positions didn't match.

Nice submission, the mood from the music is so good.

Really good music and the mood of the scene with empty streets. Struggled a lot with the jumping. Got it once and then kept getting stuck on the way up to Max constantly.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that first bit of jumping to max was quite difficult, I knew it was possible but the wall does make it quite hard to jump. I probably should have changed that as the rest of the game is much easier.

That was fun.  i love the aesthetic of the low poly world.  and the 3rd person camera is nice.
