What I would first try to do, is also make this web-playable. I don't mind downloading things, but you clearly have used basic materials and I would like to try this out in the browser before I download this. I am sure more people would have a look at it if they didn't have to download it first. Just my suggestion, do with it what you will. But congrats on making your first game! That is quite a feat!

Absolutely adorable rage game, where I kinda feel the character is modelled after me. ;) But I am sure as hell not good enough to reach the end.

What an amazing looking first level. I had never expected to see a game with a sort of level editor build in, although it might have taken a little too much of the building time, because even after reaching the finish nothing happened. But amazing what you can accomplish in so little time.

Wow, there was totally no need for the apology at the end, about lack of content, because I think this was one of the more polished and long games, I've been playing all evening in my stream and this one was amazing! It looks nice, has a good story, well worked out mechanics and levels. Basically everything just clicks!

I have no idea if I am simply to dumb, but I ran into some combinations that I don't think were solveable. But that doesn't mean anything. You also already said it wasn't finished, so maybe you had some unsolveable ones in there. I am holding on to that thought. ;)

Nice entry, looking good. Well playable. I do have some comments, that I would like to give you. You would have had a much more interesting look and feel by adding some slight animations and / or particle effects. Also the music could have helped you make it feel more intense as we progress the level, the closer to the end, the more energetic, or a higher pitch, would really benefit the game. Overall small changes, would make this game a lot better than it already is.

What a fun little game this was. Didn't manage to get myself into the highscores, but it was sure fun to try it. I am quite sure the music was this way to be ironic. Loved it!

Scored 169. Was a pretty fun game, with some interesting thought behind it. I was wondering a little why the chickens sometimes just explode when I am not even there, but seriously, I had a lot of of fun playing this.

I would say the game was pretty cute, it could do with a little slowing down at least in the beginning as you are still trying to figure the game out, because it was practically impossible to decide what room each insect should go to. Still I had fun trying this.

Thank you for the kind words and yeah, I realized there were some issues with the physics. Will keep working on it and hopefully fix it soon.

Thank you so much for the vote of confidence. It was really fun to work on it as well! Will try to develop it further as a side project.

Yeah, I really ran out of time, which is also why there is not much of a level going on. I had checkpoints and everything in mind and eventually different cars to race you as well. Will keep working on it as a side project. Had fun figuring things out with it. Thank you for the compliments.

This game made me sad man, but it was pretty well executed. I couldn't find all the letters and it would be smart maybe to remove the icons of letters you already found, because I found myself going back to the same ones over and over after a while. I hope this game has nothing to do with your own mental state, but if it does, here is a virtual hug for you. :)

Thank you so much for the vote of confidence. I think this may well become a nice side project for me, next to my main game Gaia.

Very nice! Short, but fun! I managed to feed 9 bunnies before the game was over. Could use a little work still, by for example making it possible to feed them when you are next to them, but you need to face them. Guess that was just me needing to get it.

Awesome first game jam! Keep it up and you will go far! It is a complete game, and that is definitely a huge feat!

Needed a moment to actually understand what it is I was supposed to do, but it really works. I think I've see a game like this before, and that also had very difficult puzzles in the end. I didn't make it past the 3 doors, but I am sure I could have given a little more time. I could see this become a puzzle hit.

Quite nice! I enjoyed that little bit of Jenga going on inside the closet. It took me a few seconds to realize how to get things to stack and yes it would have been nice to be able to move a little faster. But man, that mouse is one heck of a tough cookie, carrying books and such!

Cute game, there are surely some points that could be better. A little music would have helped to make this more interesting, but I mean, I didn't do any either for mine. It did seem like the order of layers was maybe a little off, as the fish are swimming above the water line (they should be IN the water right?) Beyond that, you got something here.

I will see what I can do

Thank you, it means the world to me and I really feel like it could become a fun game.

I totally recognize that feeling. Even doubted about submitting but the viewers in my stream felt like I should. Will keep it as a side project

Thank you so much! Yeah the initial idea was to have 3 upgrade options to choose from in between waves in of course a limited amount of time, so you would have to make quick choices. Unfortunately time was an issue there.

(1 edit)

Wow! Seriously? That is nuts! Well done!

Loved the aesthetics of this game. What got me a little off balance was the controls in combination with the camera movement. I was a little lost at times, and it doesn't help that you can get stuck behind a pillar that way. Overall the game was very much fun to play and I really enjoyed it.

Very nice game, that perfectly sets the theme. Nice story as well, that really gets the mood going. I would definitely play more of this game. Sound effects could get a little more variation using different pitches, but overall very interesting and nice to play.

Very nice looking game, if I would criticize it would be more that the theme is only loosely followed. It plays very well. Overall a good game.

Absolutely stunning game to play, I love the aesthetics of this game, had a lot of fun playing it. Puzzles were not the toughest, but still interesting. I only fail to see the theme for this game!

I liked the whole idea of this game, but for me it was really hard to get anywhere really. The reloading of the gun took long, which made it hard for me to keep the vampires out, and the repairing of windows and doors, seemed to be very precise for it to work. Overall very nice game, but I couldn't get very far unfortunately.

Very nice game, I had a ton of fun and actually did pretty ok. A little more variation in aliens would have been nice. Reloading was a little slow to keep enemies away. Maybe it would have been nice to let the player know when the next wave begins. All in all great game!

I liked playing this game, but there are some easy QoL things that would make it a lot better. We have 10 opponents and a huge world to search for them. The controls are a little unresponsive and that makes driving a little unpleasant at times. It does have some awesome moments, when you crash straight into another car.

Thank you so much, there are so many things to look at, especially when you are in the final stretch and you inevitably will miss some. Thanks for the nice words!

Yeah, I think I had one of those bugs myself, just before we submitted. Thank you for the nice words though!

I love the look and feel of this game, it is amazing what you accomplished in such a short time as well. I found the combat pretty hard as the enemies suddenly get the jump on you somehow.

Absolutely awesome idea and it looks amazing as well. The mouse movement jumping felt a little awkward to me, but very original for sure. Overal great game.

Yeah, you are totally right. We had originally planned to have 3 random upgrades pop up at the end of each wave, where you would choose which one to use to upgrade either your player, your relic, or receive a random power up. Also we wanted to dress up the level much more, which we in the end never got around to do.  Thank you so much for the nice comments. I've put your game on my list to check out, but I didn't have a chance at work to download it yet.

What a cute little game this was. I unfortunately didn't have a controller at hand and that meant that the tutorial couldn't be finished as the space bar wasn't functioning. But I really liked the idea and the look and feel for this. Very good!

Hey there, that was originally in the planning. After each wave we had thought to show a list of 3 random upgrades, either to the player or the tower, but we lacked the time to properly implement that. We also wanted to have some small voice over jokes in there, but alas, time was not on our side for that. ;) I am glad you liked it!

There will definitely be a few things that I will be "borrowing" for my game. Nicely done!
