Nice! That was enjoyable. Biggest issues I had were the turning and the enemy health is hard to see. I think pickups for health and to diversify the gameplay would improve it a lot.
Didn't expect a racing game with the last stand theme, but it was a blast to play! Well done!
A neat and novel approach to the theme!
The controls take some getting used to but it's fun once you get going. It's quite difficult when dealing with more than one enemy at a time.
Taking down another car is very time consuming for me, they take a beating and can flip up into the air from a missile, survive and run off before I can turn around to line up another shot. It may be a skill issue on my part, but I wish they had less health than the player does, given there's thirty more of them. It's also difficult to know when an enemy has been defeated, the only indicators are the health number above them which is hard to see and the number of total kills, which isn't something I was able to actively keep track of while also driving around trying to survive.
Great Idea for a multiplayer game!
Loved the atmosphere and vibe.
Positives:
Fun, Guided missiles
Suggestions and ideas for improvement:
- HUD widget, make it clearer, more informative, and maybe even interactive with the speed of the car, weapon status, etc.
- Add an explosion effect to make destroying enemies more satisfying.
- Add some more interactiveness to the map: ammo pickup, special weapon upgrade etc.
In such a map put a "Danger zone" where players(or AI enemies) could be called to. Like an area where shit goes down for sure if you were not taken out on the way there.
Great job. I enjoyed playing this. As others have said I also would have liked stiffer controls. I really liked that I did not have to drive far looking for enemies. I also though the amount of enemies at any given time was perfect.
I liked playing this game, but there are some easy QoL things that would make it a lot better. We have 10 opponents and a huge world to search for them. The controls are a little unresponsive and that makes driving a little unpleasant at times. It does have some awesome moments, when you crash straight into another car.
Thanks for the feedback! the opponent balancing needs alot of love, as does the AI, the handling is eseentially the stock unreal chaos vehicle demo with a slight amount of tuning - but could definitely be better. if I ever carried on with this project i would add in multiple vehicle options with unique handling/health/performance
Very interesting. I really struggled with the controls, but when managed to get another car in my sights it was really satisfying.
Interstate '76 vibes here. I loved it.
Shooting mechanics and driving both felt solid.
I'd like to see you build on this and make a complete game.
Solid presentation with a believable desert look and feel given the short time to make the game. I like how you used the handbrake as a way to compensate for limited turn controls, smart way of working around the limitations. The gameplay is fun, could maybe use a smaller map to bring the cars closer together and adding homing to the bullets as well so they can hit when cresting a dune and trying to get a vehicle descending it.
That was fun! Beautiful graphics and awesome music! I think sometimes my missiles had a mind of their own, sometimes I would fire them directly at the car in front of me, and just when they were about to hit they would veer off like they didn't want to blow up. It was pretty funny XD
Great graphics, VFX, and sound!
The gameplay has a lot of potential
It seems like all the bots are not very interested in participating in violence
