I liked the mechanic and the different collectibles, I think it was worth the wait of loading time, nice job on this game!

Great work on your game, it was a lot of fun! I felt the music and sfx really brought it all together.

Developer

Thank you!

Solid start for a twin-stick shooter here! Feels a little bit floaty and could maybe have some more impact and weight to the shooting, but it's great grounding to build upon. Sound fx really enhanced the atmosphere! Well done! :)

Very FUN and UNIQUE idea on this game! AWESOME WORK!!! This was a fun challenging game. Loved it.
Would love to see more too after the jam.

really enjoyed  that - it's not an easy game, had fun with it!

I loved your game, it is fun. keep up the good work!

I enjoyed the music and the theme, but the controls are buggy, even with a gamepad. As soon as I would stop moving the characters aim would shift so that the only way I could reliably fire at a zombie was to run straight at it.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for trying out my game. Not sure why the game is bugging out for you with a controller. Can you elaborate on how the aim would shift when you stop moving?

If you stop moving and don't aim in a direction, the player will keep looking in the direction of the character. If you are using the look (right)stick and stop moving, the player will keep looking into the look direction. If you don't aim and move, the player will look towards the direction the player moves to. That is by design and how it is in games like alienation. Are you seeing different behaviour?

Submitted(+1)

Okay, so I wasn't using the right stick to look or aim. That does make it a little bit easier. What I was referring to was when moving with the left stick and then stopping the character will sometimes look in a different direction from where you stopped.

Developer

Thank you, I'll see if I can replicate the behavior.

The player control is ok with a controller.
It lacks of feedback when the played gets hit.

Nice submission, anyway

Well done on the submission, looks good :)

Couldn't control it...

Developer (1 edit)

Yes, unfortunately I got an error with the new version when the game started and I'm unsure why. There is no error in unity :( I rolled the version back to the working one.

Did you know that you can debug a Windows build

Developer

I did not, but I managed to fix the webgl page error by changing some player settings for webgl in unity. Controls with mouse are somewhat usable now.

cool

It did take about 2 minuts before started, so it does start :) sadly I dont have a controller either. It has potential.

Edit: I think mouse/keyboard is alot better now, still not perfect though.

Oh, Ok, I'll try again...

Doesn't have a controller so tried with keyboard/mouse. That is definitely buggy but mentioned ingame ;-).

Is the "quit game" button in the middle? Seems off to me.

Developer (1 edit)

Good spot, I think it's indeed slightly misaligned. Will have to fix it after the jam is over.

Submitted

Yes it hangs, as ScatMaster wrote before me. Waited like a minute or so.

Developer

Thank you for trying to play my game! Please let the game load for several minutes (it should continu to load in a background tab while you play other submissions). It should eventually load up.

Submitted

The web player never finished loading. Couldn't play

Developer

Thank you for trying to play my game! From my tests it seems to load very quickly untill around 90% then it "hangs" there for several minutes. Eventually, it should load up. Can you let it run for a while?

(Let it run on another tab while you try another submissions :)).

I'll check today at work if it runs there as well and see if I can speed it up by tonight by cleaning up assets a bit.

Got it to work. I like it, it was fun. Played it a few times. It didn't make sense to add so many baddies when there didn't seem to be a weapons upgrade. And I'm positive that floor material was mean for a wall lol. Over all i enjoyed it. Would like to keep playing once the machines are ironed out!

Developer

Thank you for trying again! The initial plan was to make enemies drop upgrades for weapons as well, but unfortunately I had to scratch that.
