I liked the very tiny aspect of a city builder. Had some glitches, where I couldn't send any more ambulances or police cars even if thy seemed not busy. MAybe in this case some indication if there is an ambulance 'ready to depart' at the hospital or not. Great game that has potential to grow into more.

nice little city builder. I liked the idea and the art style was fun. The controls and camera could use some tweaks.. I ended up sending ambulances to the wrong places a few times. Feels like there is a solid foundation to build on here and I enjoyed playing it. Well done
This is a really neat concept! I just have a few suggetions:
- The movement of player's camera shoudn't be affected by the time scale.
- An instant pause button would be great to access the situation instead of having to drag the slider to 0 and lose the ability to move the camera.
- Maybe allow the police car and ambulance to change their destination when they are dispatched, as it is hard to make it in time even when the 2 buildings in need are close to each other
But still, I had a lot of fun with it!
I seemed to get the whole screen getting a blue tint as soon as I clicked on the first building. I had gone fullscreen, and I'm on Firefox. I've played 911 a bit, it's similar to that.
Nice idea for a city game. But I would not connect the camera movement speed to the game speed. Its a bit hard to control when increasing the play speed.
Fantastic start to a city building game. The people in this city certainly have a lot of medical emergencies!
A lot of scope to make this even better like pathing along the roads, other services etc, but you have the basics of balancing needs vs services vs income. Really impressive for the 7 days you were able to put into this.
Very fun! the artstyle is very reminiscent of those carpets I saw as a kid so it added to my enjoyment x3! kept sending ambulances to other hospitals on accident (whoops xD)
I really liked this game. It's a really well-made city sim. The controls are easy to use, and the gameplay loop is very addicting. My only suggestion would be to change the time speed-up from a slider to buttons, to give more precise control, and to make hazards less frequent. I'm not sure if it was a bug, but for some reason every house on the map started requesting a hospital at the same time, and I didn’t have enough to meet the demand.
Good concept for a game jam, bit slow on getting started but fun once get into it :-)
The game is fun and I had a bit of a laugh with it involving a game breaking bug with a bit of a funny out come.
When I was playing I sent my police car to a house and it then just stayed there and didn't return and eventually both my ambulances were stuck on the police car and unable to move where I began to gain negative population and income which was really funny.
But overall the game is good.
OH NO! 😂 I'm sorry you had to go through that! I still don't know when that happens so I'm unable to fix this bug so far. Although, I did keep the negative population and income on purpose because I thought it would be funny if someone reached that point, but I definitely didn't plan for a bug to lead to this! Thank you for your feedback.
Quite stressful! But that just adds to the fun of it in this case. It could be a really fun game if it was worked on a lot more (Of course beyond the scope of this gamejam. For the gamejam, it's a really cool game!)
Thanks! Can you make your game playable in the browser? Your download file also doesn't specify what OS this zip is for. I downloaded it and saw it's made in Unity and this build is for Windows so I can't run it. But since you're using Unity, you can make a build for the Web and upload it to itch.io and check the box that says playable in the browser. Let me know if you do that, so I try out your game
It may be an interesting game, but it looks a bit unfinished. Need more clear visuals that when you select one building and send the resource to another building. Following the road is an interesting milestone, but to do it well is not that easy.
Yeah it is definitely far from being finished. You're right I should make the selection visuals clearer.
Regarding following the road, I actually wanted to have traffic which you control with traffic lights so that you clear the way for emergency vehicles, but it was too complicated so I kept it till the end (and ended up not having time to implement it). Thank you!
Develop it a little more. It should be a fun game in the future.
i was so bad at the game i went into negative ppl and negative money. i think things just cost way too much money in the begining. maybe have some starter places to cost less to get going.
