The level transitions were a cool touch and the scaling effect worked well to show progress. Movement felt smooth. The atmosphere was good and I liked the retro vibe. Well done

Nice job in making this game!

I like the idea behind. Just wish to add some basic ennemies to avoid and not being stuck on wall movement and you could have some really fun game loop (for example, when i hit a wall on the top by going up, i need to release the "up" key in order to move right or left. removing that would make the movement way more smooth)

Fun game I enjoyed it !!!

Can you guys upload a web version for the game so I can try it?

Well done on getting your first game up, liked it and thought the map transitions was a great touch

Very good loock and feel, good oldschool game

Really enjoyable game, could do with something else to keep you occupied when running around for crystals but still only so much can do in a short game jam! Maybe a Web version would be good as well.

Nice and simple to play, very smooth movement. One suggestion for improvement is once the crystals have been collected, give the player some clue as to where the door was as old farts like me forget easily :-)

That's really cool! The collecting system works well,  it encourages the player to explore the level. Also, nice level design. GG! 🔥

I really enjoyed this one!

The vastness of the cave gives an eerie feeling!!

Love how the game progresses, the storytelling with 'show don't tell' and how the gameplay links to the premise!

Great job! ✨✨

Nice puzzle, the aesthetics gave me an early Nintendo vibe. The scaling when you move on to the next level was a great way to visualize the growth.

nice. but you leave me hungry for more :-)

I really like the artstyle and the different levels having differing themes. My bit of feedback would be three things. #1: Music. Because the game is a bit slower paced, music usually helps quite a lot in scenarios like that to make it a bit relaxing to play. #2: the doors being blacked out kinda made it difficult to figure out where the exit was at times.

And finally, progression. This is purely just my opinion, not tryna come off harsh or anything but it felt like a chore running around to find the crystals. This relates back to point 1 where there wasn't anything going on in terms of ambience either so I was just running around in silence pretty slowly. What I'd recommend in the future is to add puzzles or incorporate the crystals as some mechanic instead of it just being something you're forced to pick up and look for the exit. But then again it's just a 10 day game jam. probably can't pull all that off in this short of a timespan
