My favorite part was trying to catch the paper airplane. That mechanic with it flying up and coming down was really neat. The circular platform gave me a bit of eye strain to look at, but overall it was cute. I like the cows too ^-^

Developer

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you enjoyed :) You're on point about the platform - I've been thinking about finding a way to make it look more cloud-like

I saw dogs!

Also the floor kinda makes me dizzy

Developer

Yeah, I think there's some tweaking to do on the floor for sure. Thanks for checking it out :)

Very cool game! I love the idea and the presentation. It wasn't particularly difficult, but I can see how something like this could develop into something much more challenging. I didn't rescue all the souls, but I was still rewarded with some awesome pictures of (your?) doggo, hehe.

Developer

Yep, that's my boy! Glad you had a good time. Definitely amping up the challenge for new stages!

Well done!

Developer

Thanks :)

The visuals are unique and felt like I was looking into a kaleidoscope sometimes. It feels very polished and the simple mechanics actually enhance the game. I really like the writing and the different endings make it worth playing through. It's also very chill game :)

Developer

Thanks a lot! Still fighting a few bugs here or there, but I'm glad that everyone's having a mostly smooth experience.

Nice game! After reading the intro texts I somehow imagined I'd be actually tumbling inside a tornado :) But it was a cool interpretation of it. The spinning rings made it pretty psychedelic which I enjoyed :)

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it. Funny you mention the tumbling. The first few days I was trying to make a physics-based movement, but it became an absolute nightmare to manage and build the systems on a short time frame while keeping it fun. So I went back to the drawing board. There's definitely more to come after I work out a few bugs.

Great job. It was a very interesting concept and I enjoyed collecting all umbrellas and paper airplanes.

Fun concept! I really liked it!

Really liked the idea but for me it was too easy.  Nice puppies at the end.  Make it more challenging by making the cars and cows, etc move too.  And like what most ppl said, replaying at find out why you missed a spirit when you didnt think you did to have it bugged so you cant get off the first level needs fixing.  Reloading the web page fixed that for me.... but still...

Developer

Thanks! Agreed, a bit easy the way it is. I'm tweaking some of the levels while I fix the bugs. Hoping to bring a little more interesting obstacles to it all and an overall more consistently smooth experience soon so it won't have to be reloaded. Just learning about what stays and changes when Unity changes/ reloads scenes this week. Kind of an eye opener

Very nicely done!

Quite polished with good feedback from pickups to know if you're grabbing items that are affecting your Levity good or bad.

A solid first gamejam entry, as well, regarding your development note!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot!

Pretty fun game.

Sadly I forgot to take the other souls with me as I moved up thorugh the tornado, so I got the not best ending. XD

The tornado visual effect is nicely done. Also the little bit of story was nice.

Some suggestions for improvement:

- Playing again after a game over doesn't add or decrease levity anymore. Consider adding some initialization method that cleans every status and counter variable in the game when the player presses Begin, so that it can be replayed without issue. Replayability is important if your game offers multiple endings.

- The music was a bit too loud. Research how to add a volume control to your game or make sure your music and sound effects are not at 100% volume.

- Consider adding screen scaling so that the game displays correctly in different aspect ratios or even while not in fullscreen.

Good game.

Developer

Haha glad you enjoyed it! Hoping I can make the other endings more accessible soon. I'm testing a build right now that has volume controls and working on improving the replay experience/bugs. I'll keep working towards some better scaling too.

Thanks for taking the time to provide all that feedback.

The writing in the intro was creative, deep and funny. The swirly level-entrance concentric circles effect was also great. The crushy house was amazing. The ending I got was hilarious.

My levity seems to get stuck at 0 sometimes? (but I think you're working on that) I did not manage to rescue the lady yet.

I am curious what would happen if one were to descend to the bottom.

Well done, nice entry!

Developer

I'm glad you had a good time with it! Yeah, that dreaded levity not moving - I have a fix that will be included in the next update.

You definitely should try descending!  Maybe find a soul to take with you too... ;)

Wanted to try again and it seemed like the system broke for some reason. But it was a nice experience with trippy visuals, its also kind of a full package with something in every category. Well done and well rounded!

Developer

Hey, thanks for letting me know. Hoping to sweep up a bunch of bugs with this update when I finish testing. Glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

super creative setting! it made me quite happy that i was able to save a lost soul today :-)

Submitted(+1)

A really nice game! But I have to know did I get all the possible endings? I found three and my heart needs all the rewards it can get! I love the whole serene atmosphere you created! I do thing I ran into a small bug where if I wanted to run it back straight away I would spawn on the level and could collect stuff but it did not change my levity one way or another?

Developer(+1)

Hey, glad you enjoyed it enough to get some extra endings. The replay bug will be gone in the next update, so hopefully it will be a little easier to get back into. There's a couple endings if you go down. One if you have a soul with you. And the other one is not actually working right now because I had to cut something. When I post the next update, the other "cursed" ending will be available again.

Submitted(+1)

Really fun game! I played through a couple of times to see all the different endings...

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it enough to try again! Thanks

Wow really nice concept there, i will never imagine a game like this, nice creativity. Feel free to check out my game

Developer

Thanks!  Definitely will check yours out. I already love the art from the screenshots.

Really good rotating puzzles! @u@

I loved the music and sound effects, they matched so well with the vibe of the game,  and the end of the game is just... the BEST, I guess there is no better way to end a game.  You did a great job, congratulations!

Developer(+1)

Thanks very much!

This was really well put together! Congratulations on your entry!
