Too late to rate for the jam, but wanted to give it a shot anyway. Loved the idea of being a tiny ghost roaming around a big world cleaning up after him. Short and sweet! I wonder if pressing 'e' is actually necessary, wouldn't it be enough to just trigger the action on collide?

I reall liked the idea that with each level finished some of the burdens of your previous life lifted and you could do bigger jumps. Speaking of which, the jump mechanics really could be improved somewhat. I had quite some difficulties getting up the ladder at first, and in the bathroom section the drawers' collision areas should continue somewhat, when you take half a step too far towards the tub you fall down again.
It was also unclear when you could double-jump which seemed to be something that only worked in very specific places, and especially not where I expected it most, getting from the sink to the exit...
These technical details aside, the level design was good.
One thing that really irritated me was "j" as a choice for the action button on the keyboard. Why not "e" or something so I could use arrow keys for movement and have the other hand for jumping and interacting?
Nice platformer with sensible progression.
At first have some problems with jumps but after few try adapted to it.
I share the opinion of Msen what it is a well rounded complete jam game.
What a responsible little ghost! The art in this was really nice and I liked the freeing feeling you get after you're untethered and can jump anywhere.
I think it is a well rounded complete jam game. All the aspects of the game are good. I like the level design and improvement of jump as you progress in the game. Last levels jump was so satisfying. I wanted to play with that jump one level more :)
Had fun with this one! Really like the music, sound effects, and sense of progression as you finish each level!
Like MarcusFromOz mentioned - I initially had some trouble getting up the ladder in the first level as well but after a minute or so I got the feel for the jump.
Nice job!
I really liked it, except for one thing.
I loved the story, I loved the way the camera zoomed in and out (cinemachine state cameras?), music suited. But I nearly didn't continue on the first screen when you had to jump up the ladder(?) on the left. I found that awkward. But happy I kept going :)
Thanks for playing! I am updating the colliders on the ladder and will upload that version after the rating period is over. Yeah you're right about the cinemachine state camera! Since that is driven by animation states, I actually created 2 blank animations attached to the trigger area where I wanted the camera to zoom out, so when the player enters or exits it would change state and zoom in or out. Lots of possibilities with cinemachines!
Very good, everything worked as it should, I would have enjoyed continuing on and having more levels!
This is really fun! There's a lot of really well done stuff, like the tutorial tips going away and the camera changes to show what you're effecting. There weren't many levels, but the build up over those levels felt really nice. Great work!
Congrats on your game.
I loved how as I became less tethered my jump height increased to give a real sense of achivement. A nice touch!
Congrats on the game.
I noticed you can jump on the walls out of bounds in the gameplay. Maybe a collision on top to stop that may be a nice bug fix.
Thanks for the submission! This is a game that has clear direction all around. The premise is so light-hearted, the mechanics are polished, the art style is nostalgic but cute and sets the tone. The finale of finishing all of your unfinished business is a great message. I love when games make you feel more powerful for doing the task, and this one conveys meaning to what motivates the character you play as. Great Job!
Very cute game :) I enjoyed playing and would have loved to keep playing it much longer. It is so fun and the exploration inside the house, while I'm such a small ghost, was really funny and enjoyable. reminded me a lot of a game called Army men III, I think, where you played with an army of plastic soldiers.
I encountered a bug when I was closing the right faucet and it kept showing the E letter but didn't stop the water from flowing and so I couldn't continue playing because I couldn't pass the level.
All in all the game is so much fun and would like to play it again whenever you make more updates. So keep me updated :)
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Did you turn both handles for the right faucet? For each handle, you should only be able to interact with it once. Before you interact, the E will flash to let you know it's interactable. After you interact you'll still see the E until you leave the handle hitbox, but after that you won't see it because the handle isn't interactable anymore. I should probably try to make that clearer, thanks for letting me know! And if you happen to make it to the 3rd stage, I didn't turn on the E for the light switches there, but the light switches are the only thing you can interact with on that level, and they work the same as the handles on stage 2.
Yes, I did as you said pressed the E then moved away and then the E disappeared and didn't show again. But the portal for the next level didn't show up. I thought maybe it was a bug so I played the game again and for the second time, I press E and pressed it again when it didn't disappear, and still nothing. I'm not sure is it a bug or is there something else I should do.
hahahahaha. I loved how trivial the tasks that kept me tethered were! Fun to play and funny to experience. At first I thought the controls were unbalanced but then I understood why and I loved it.
Congrats on the solo job!
