This was very ambitious. I love the visuals most of all. The movement is a little clunky, but I didn't mind that too much. A little bit more feedback when attacking would be nice. Cerberus wiped me out the moment I ran out of stamina xD
Great job submitting and creating an ambitious game. You could really build upon this :)
Congrats on completing the jam! I think this was a very unique approach. I can tell you have big plans. I think some polish would make this game really cool!
Also nice music :D
With some polishing on the gameplay movement, mechanics, camera and visibility it will be a great game. The basis and ideas are there, great work on that. Looking forward to seeing more of it !! :)
i pressed the shift in the beginning by mistake and dropped by passing wall and died without seeing the cerberus :D it is actually nice world enemies etc, cool art style. i liked it.
it's apparent, that you have a big vision for this game, and you already created quite the world and even a story with cut scenes and all. but it also seems most of your attention was on the "big-picture" without really focussing on moment-to-moment gameplay. that seem like a odd descision for a game jam to me, but it's also the interesting part of it to see how people tackle the challenge in completely different ways.
I am a big fan of cell shading. I really liked this aspect of your game. The attack speed seems a bit to slow, it felt like an eternity from the time you press the button till the time the attack lands. I also was able to roll through a wall and off the map. This is a big game and an awesome feat to tackle in the 10 days allotted. So, awesome job on the accomplishment. For game play though I think you need to speed the character up and allow us to click to skip the river sequence. Great Game Jam submission.
Somehow the graphic settings didn't make much of a difference, although the default "low" settings seemed to be a bit more performant than the "ultra high" setting I tried at first...
I still had to fight a lot against camera angles (and camera jumpiness in general) as well as some clipping and having walls between me and the camera...
Also, repeating the whole "raft on Styx arriving at the quay" sequence will probably get very old very quickly.
This game certainly needs far more polish than could be done in the jam's timeframe...
Thanks for the feedback, yes we definetely need to polish this game, in fact we upgraded it to a school project so we will be working in the polish a full semester.
I like the cel-shading style art. Looked really cool. Nicely done with the intro too! After I got absolutely destroyed by Cerberus, I was glad I could pick on some enemies my own size and win some fights! I did run into a bit of an issue with the run button where I couldn't stop running and fell into the lava pits. Congrats on taking on such an ambitious piece!
thank you man!
I got a little scared to confront Cerberus right at the beginning, but then I remembered: "Death is only the beginning" ;-) Nice way to enter in the theme! I got some problems with the collisions, but had a lot of fun finding my way in the underworld.
Glad the boss fight was intimidating. Ty for the feedback! bugs noted, we will fix them ASAP
Really impressed with how much you guys got done. It may not have quite as much polish as some of the other top contenders in the jam but the game seems like massive undertaking. If I had tried something like this I wouldn't have gotten 1/5th of the way through. Excellent work, would love to see this turned into a larger project!
Thanks for the feedback man, yes we definetely are going to keep working on the project
A cool action RPG. Very impressed with the graphics and level building in a game jam! I played the web version and it did run a bit slowly at times. I liked the cutscene in the boat, but having to start it over after dying was frustrating.
Thanks for the feedback
Great concept, I had fun playing it, the web version is kinda laggy but the windows version runs perfectly.
I run into a bug where an enemy hit me and pushed me through a wall and I died :') also I tried rolling near a wall and also went through it.
Other than that great game and concept. Nice job!
Really aprecciated your comment man!
Very nice, it looks like a ton of effort was put into this one! The player attacks seem a bit slow but I still had a lot of fun.
Ty for playing it man
Nice game man. Gratz.. I would only make the steps noises a bit lower. And maybe improve te particle systen for when hiting enemies.. Its kind hard to know if my hit hits or dont cerberus.
Congratz. Play my game if you can :)
Ty, feedback noted
Very fun. I think it really could have used some TLC with optimization. But I really like what you did. I think this could be a viable game if you 5 stick to it.
Thanks a lot!, yes the browser build is laggy, but the windows one is great if you like to try it. And , if course we plan to keep improving the game
I will try that out, thank you for letting me know. If you put it on your page and I missed that fact. I apologize
So after downloading and playing again. I ran into some bugs with fighting, where creatures punched me through the ground and into the water.
Talk about a K.O.
Ty for reporting the bugs
Hey, Nice game!
I love how you have a boss battle at the beginning!
I love the artstyle :D
I think you all did a cracking job :D
Can you try my game and drop me a vote too, please? :)
Ty for the feedback! sure ill be checking your game
I like the idea of introducing the player by death. The intro sequence is very good as well. Unfortunately I find it difficult to control the view of the character. There also seems too be some performance issue as well. Overall a very ambitious entry. Nice try!
Thanks for the feedback. Yes the browser version has performance issues if you want to try it without them download the files, I uploaded the build also.
Yeh I agree with Dragoons, and I think you should keep improving it.
A really interesting game.
very thankful for you liking and playing my game
Had some issues with falling through ground.
Like how it looks visually.
It would be nice if boat scene after u die was skippable.
thanks for the feedback!
