Theme interpretation
Here we are interpreting moonshot as using the time when the moon is highest as your "shot" to kill as many enemies as possible.

A bit bloody, but that's even in the game's name, so no problem there hehehe

Got the feeling of it being hard, but maybe we aren't skilled enough.

Keep the good work!

I like this game! though it is hard for me.. never survive longer than 1 day lol. I hope if the wolf can rotate and attack easily, or if there is some way to jump away when I'm surrounded by human. But anyway a good game, like the sound effects!

This is awesome. The sound and music is great. The graphics are very charming. The music and graphics together are very retro. The villager SFX are funny (I love the "oh crap"). It's also hard as hell, but feels fair.

My only real complaint is that I don't think the mouse-aim works very well for a melee attack. I think it would be easier to just attack in the direction you are moving. But it was usable.

I don't know if you did this already, but it would be very cool if killing villagers restored health or something, to give you a way to struggle to stay alive in the daytime.

Overall, really fantastic game. Your theme interpretation actually reminds me a lot of my own game, funnily enough.

Nice game mechanic :-)

I also liked the polishing and the use of shadows

Owch, daytime is hard! Really liked the idea and the top-down camera feels nice. Some mechanics are difficult to grasp, so maybe there's some point of improvement. But this has lot of potential! Glad to see another Godot game! Good job ;)

Nice game, interesting idea. :)

You should add an explanation somewhere that you have to kill X villagers in Y seconds or you lose. I didn't understood that concept and that the red moon is the indicator for that, so I hided on daytime and lost.  Moving around on daytime was almost impossible, you get easily killed by villagers and there seems to be no way to refresh health.

Hi Fry, thank you for playing the game and for the feedback. You are right that daytime is quite hard! We will work on making our game mechanics more obvious next round. Thanks again

Very cool game! I quite enjoyed the nighttime powerful werewolf. I love the atmosphere created. The art is great and the music sets up the feeling of being in the surroundings of an old town where everyone want to hunt you down.

Daylight gets pretty tough but I enjoyed the zoom-in effect and the weaker senses, that makes the player be more careful and wait around the corner.

Does the howling do any effect? I didn’t notice, it would be cool that it will make the time run faster at daytime or scare people to somehow to group them.

Well done!

Many thanks for your kind words! I'm glad that the day time changes forced you to play differently, that's exactly what we hoped it would do.

The howling should cause nearby villagers to come and inspect the point where you howled, allowing you, as you said, to group villagers together and influence their position to some extent. We should have made that more obvious in the instructions, thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks again for playing.

Interesting game.  I like the shadows and lighting effects.  Running around at night was fun.  The slow creep during day time was less fun.

Fun gameplay and the lightning effects were beautiful. Daytime was a bit too challenging for this boomer APM =)

Nice animation and some good touches, like the torchlight and waxing/waning powers.

Interesting mechanic and fun gameplay! I really enjoyed running around and killing people at night but during the daytime it was really challenging to try to stay alive. Maybe the difficulty curve can be adjusted so that day 1 is a bit easier for newer players and it can get harder and harder each day. Also would have loved a dash mechanic, maybe only usable at night?

Great work on the audio too. Loved the screams and random chatter. Fun game overall!

Nice take on the theme! I was howling all the time haha

I wish the visual input for our attack was more clear

I love the way you try to approach the theme. This game sure has its vibe!

I think you captured both the style and the type very well with the current setup. I have not played “Ape Out” before but after playing your game, I start to understand the fun behind a birds eye perspective with this kind of close combat system rather than a shooter. I also love how your day-night cycle changes the way villages interact with you (fleeing vs chasing, guns vs close combat). Great work dude, enjoyed it a lot.

I was really digging the Wilhelm scream! Very complex when I got to the day time levels, and man, those pitch forks hurt :(

Loved the unique take on the theme! The core gameplay loop is also super interesting and full of potential- I can see just a few more villager variants, map variants, etc. bringing exponential complexity to the game. Overall, an extremely cool concept; would've loved to see a few other indicators of the turn from day/night, whether that be the clock changing color, or some post-processing, etc- but overall a very fun bite-sized experience. c:

Thank you for playing! It was a lot of fun to create and thank you for the feedback on more day/night indication, clock changing colour is a great suggestion

Thank you for playing!

I like it but its so haard during the game! nice animations

Developer

Thank you for playing, day time difficulty is a little tricky yes! You may have to build up a buffer of filled bloodmoon to help you survive the day with minimal fighting
