Great work! I really enjoyed the graphics and the story, and the voice acting is golden :D
As other mentioned the controls don't feel as great as they could, but they're still pretty decent and I enjoyed the walljumping mechanic.

I somehow got both endings happening at the same time in the endgame, not sure if that's intended or a bug, but it was pretty funky :P

I love the animations and the music of the game. However, the controls of the game are not the easiest, for example, when wall jumping you would expect you gain some height on, but here you don’t get it. It’s sometimes very frustrating to perform wall jump in this game. However, the game has a very attracting vibe! I like it very much. (Also loved your voice acting! That has so much impact for making the game so immersive. That makes me consider doing it for my next game)

Cool intro and beautiful graphics! I enjoyed playing it, even though have a bit of trouble with the jumping/climbing controls.

Well done!

Very nice platformer. love the pixelart visuals.
Very nice atmosphere especially with the voice and a very nice intro.

As other people said the controls could use some improvements especially the climbing walls part.

Also, since the attacks happen in the direction the player is facing, a full keyboard control scheme I think would have been better instead of using the mouse buttons for the attacks and keyboard for everything else.

Still great job, especially for your first game!

It has nice graphics and audio :)
The controls for climbing on walls could use some touch ups

I really liked the introduction at the start

Thanks for the review! I am surprised you liked the introduction, as our English isn't very good (English speech of Czechs can suck xD), so the dubbing must sound funny for native speakers

Didn't get to the emotional ending but I'd love to see a playthrough video to the end! Great music.

Liked the design and audio but got stuck. Also, would be cool to have the text dialog at the start screen!

Fun game, I liked the level design, but found the wall jumping difficult as I see others have haha.

Pros:

  • Fun Level Design
  • LASER + animations were great haha
  • Stories about saving the Earth are always the best!

Improvement:

  • Definitely wall jump controls would even improve the level design since some of the levels required precise wall jump timing

Even though it's a little long, i loved the intro and the story! I found the wall jumping a little difficult but got used to it after a while, nice work

The graphics and soundtrack are awesome. The controls and character movement felt a bit awkward and unintuitive, especially the wall slides. It took a while for me to get used to it. I wasn't able to reach the ending because I kept dying at one point but I'll give it another go later and try for the ending. I really like that there's a story element to it!

The character animation looks really nice, especially for sliding on the ground while shooting a laser. In general, the artwork in the game was really nice.

However, I think the movement mechanics felt a bit janky. I had to do this weird tiny wall jump to get over a ledge, which felt out of place for me since I did not use it after that. I also think the monologue cutscene at the beginning should be optional (or skippable). Some of the voice acting was hard to understand because of the accent.

But overall, an amazing effort for your first game.

p.s. if you were aiming for an emotional ending, you did a damn good job.

Thank you for the comment! We knew that some players may find it hard to the the wall jumps, but I eventually became tired of editing the player movement script, because I made it such a mess LOL! I have to do it a little bit better next time :D

Love the retro game feel. Reminds me of 'Prince of Persia'. Awesome !
