Fun game! Liked how you made adding planets as a puzzle :)

wow. what a superb, creepy and awesome game. I really enjoyed it. Played with a friend. And we had predictions of what was going on, but then, when we reached the top floor, we were in for a twist haha. I thought initially the person was just dreaming – moving from the decrepit 5th hallway to the lush ground floor.
In the basement, didn’t quite understand the spiral tbh. but regardless, loved the game.
Fun game! Got my girlfriend to try it with me, got a bit competitive! We both got to level 7, but struggled beyond that. I also didn’t quite get how to use the arrow keys? Wasnt sure if me pressing them was making a difference..
Cool! Yeah time in these hackathons are helpful to urge us to finish something up, but tbh I think its be nice if we’re allowed to edit our games after voting begins to start incorporating feedback from players! Like you, I need to add a tut to my game :)
Id love to try your game out again if you do add new stuff in the future :) Its really fun and very beautiful.
Yay! A really fun game! not too hard or too easy :) Loved the graphics, and loved the way the screen split! So freaking cool!
BTW i dont know if this is a feature or not, i noticed that I can hide from the demons if i cling to trees:
So here (and also on a previous occasion) I just stood next to trees, out of the demon-stream’s way, and managed to survive :)
Cool game! but dang, it was rough for me to get to even the first flag! I tried flying up through the small gap above me, and also next to the apple, but I kept hitting a wall and was made to fast forward time, and start over… hmm
maybe add like an extra flag under the apple if people fail a few times/spend more than a minute and still dont get to the first flag? That might make it a bit more forgiving and allow players who aren’t quite talented (like me!) to have a shot at progressing in your game!
Yeah! Procedurally generated (which is why the difficulty isn’t well tuned). Id like to add some more variation in the future tho :)
Ah yeah changing the initial vel should be a thing… right now the initial vel = G10arrow_length or smth (HACKS) haha
Really fun game!
During my gameplay I found:
- Id like to be able to click to deeply without having to press enter ( i almost never pressed abort)
- I didn’t realise that I could upgrade my mine until quite far into the game!
- I had a tough time using the mortar on the left side of the screen when my tab was open. Maybe autohide the tab/reduce its alpha if you have an ordance selected?
- Id like to be able to upgrade my turrets just by clicking them and choosing to upgrade there (rather than selecting upgrade in the tab and then selecting the turret)
- Id like to be able to build walls!!
TBH i really enjoyed the gameplay, and played much longer than I intended haha.
Haha yeah I haven’t really mapped a good level difficulty mechanic into the game, currently, all the levels are procedurally generated, and I’m not checking for how difficult/easy the generated levels are.
Maybe I can start off with like just two planets, and then add in another planet, make it further away, and vary the procedurally generated levels in that way in the future. Thanks!
And yeah, thanks for the note on the confusing instructions! Will be sure to try to adjust them to make more sense. I might also just try to add a mini tut at the beginning of the game as per some suggestions.
The levels actually are procedurally generated! I think that might be why some levels are too easy while sone others are way too hard haha. Id like to work a bit on trying to add some more planets and moons etc that might make the levels more interesting tho :) thanks for the feedback!
Really cool game! I love the diegetic UI, makes you feel really in the game! I can totally see this as a VR game of sorts in the future :D. I really enjoyed messing around and pressing all the buttons, and actually I think i broke the game at the start because of my button pressing lel
Buuttt that was totally my fault! I reloaded the page, and actually followed the instructions the second time around, and things made kindof sense! I did get a bit lost with what I was supposed to actually do, but I was just mesmerised by how interactive and beautiful everything was :)
Really cool game! but MAN i sucked at it lol. Maybe have a mode where we have infinite fuel? or would that be too easy? I actually really liked this even though I was so bad at it haha. I think it could be cool to teach students about concepts such as escape velocity, etc :)
OOoo i really like this game! its so chill, and really unique! I’ve never played a game where photography is a core element! I liked exploring, and really like the scenes :) You should make a google drive where folks can share their images :D I think itd be neat to see various folks’ photos
Really beautiful pixelart and the game has an awesome feel! I like that the difficulty is balanced and so its not too easy to play :)
I think this is already very polished, but if you’d like to do some more polishing, maybe you can swap your UI elements to be in-line with your pixel art style.
Eg. Maybe use pixel fonts: https://fontmeme.com/fonts/pixel-square-font/ and maybe a pixel health bar?
