This is some seriously impressive content, to the point that you could just as easily sell this on Steam and I’d probably buy it
How did the 3 of you manage to make this in one week?
Thanks ! We are used to doing game jams and we are comfortable with our tools and our workflow, also we were able to use the majority of the available time, overall we did not have any big unforeseen problem that could have made us waste time, it's all of this that allowed us to produce lots of content ^^
Wow, what a great game! Some games I play and think one day I'll be able to make something like that, and others - like this one - I think "there is no way I'll be able to ever do that!" The artwork / sprites were super well done, with all the different armors and characters all looking uniquely different. The music and sound effects were fantastic also. The multiplayer ability (I was solo) and character selection screens just blew me away. Fascinating work!
This was a really awesome experience. I love the art audio and game feel. Really really well done
this is really polished, in fact with just adding a few more content i can see this being sold on steam. for a week in development this is astounding. my only problem with it would be to increase the hit invisibility frame as sometime when i just respawn i was immediately killed by enemy attack.
Thanks ! For the project we took advantage of a lot of tools from Godot Engine, the physics engine, the animation tool for the cutscene, the autotilling to create the maps quickly etc, besides that we did a lot of game jams and games in general and our workflow is quite defined, and we were able to take advantage of almost 100% of the time available, we have not slept much over the last few days, also things went well, which is not always the case ^^
Very nice art! I found that the control style was difficult to understand, and it kept changing between the menu and the gameplay. I worked out space+arrow keys, but then I got stuck in the menu.
I really liked swapping between the palettes and I especially liked the sheer amount of artwork and detail that has gone into the sprites. I was surprised to see that thrown items rotate!
It must've taken forever to do that level design too.
Nice game!
I can’t believe this was made in 1 week, amazing.
Nothing to complain, reminds me a bit of the game TowerFall Ascension :)
Amazing game! It's incredible how polished and well designed this game is given it's made in a week. Every aspect of it is superb and can definitely stand on its own competing with AAA GameBoy games
what an awesome genre mix. the art, music, and mechanics are all on point too. such a great entry! this is the kind of game i would love to play with my friends online, i hope you consider adding it post-jam if youre planning on working on this further!
