I liked how this fits in the theme, it's wholesome and it is an interesting concept. I find a little odd the emote controls (maybe just use the number keys?).  I think it could be expanded further by giving meaningful interactions with the npcs, that would add to the experience (though the randomization makes the npcs feel like a different character already).

That was interesting. i never seen this before in the jam. i know is the idea, but its a little annoying that you have no control (or at least you cant see how many control you have) over other peoples emotions

I think this is definitely interesting idea. But the effects were maybe too random, I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do because no matter what I did I was only making people angry.

I managed to reach a vibe of 1, completely by accident. I have absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do. the art is nice (though a bit sad looking considering the theme?) but I think playtesting would have been an enormous help for this game

The goal of this game is that you do not know how anyone is going to react. Every npc will react to different stimuli differently. Your goal is to make as many as possible happy.

so the controls are WSAD or IJKL as it says on the games page, I did not have time to add that into the game. Each of the 4 actions bound to ijkl give different responses.

I like how calming this experience is. The music fits this minimalistic art pretty well.

Didn't find any bugs but I wish there was more stuff to do and maybe some hints to help (because I was just pressing random buttons for the most time).

Good job nonetheless!

Managed to reach a vibe of 1.50. The music and visuals fir together well, and the sfx are both useful and funny. It's interesting how each npc feels like they have a unique personality.

I had a lot of fun, and the premise of the game interestingly lowers the expectations of the player's results in a good way; in most games we expect to "get good" the more we play, here instead it's like we're just trying (and often failing miserably) to make everyone's day better. It's an unexpected experience. I think the various emotions are very well expressed to the player, possibly except for the green one, which I was unsure if it was "disgusted" or "extremely happy"... since both emotions could be associated to green and sticking the tongue out. The music chosen is lovely, and the simplified graphics are great at distilling the complexity of trying to make others happy. I really liked your take on the theme, great job!

I think this was a really sweet game and the tone you set with the music and the simplified assets and sound effects really created a chill, wholesome experience throughout. I think that feeling is already coming through very strongly! If you wanted to go further with it, I would recommend looking at Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to) as an inspiration source, and look for more types of feedback you can give the player to soothe them during each interaction. Great job!

Wholesome message, you can't make everyone happy. The gameplay fits perfectly with that message, but maybe having some recognizable patterns would make it feel better.

I loved the references of the names, haha.. 

You have some errors in the intro, and be careful with having text floating above moving backgrounds as it can be hard to read and a cause of motion sickness. The concept is there and with more tweeks and improvements it's only going to grow and get closer to what your original video was. Well done

I think the game could have benefitted from a tutorial (though at least the controls were listed on the game page). I liked the angle you approached the theme from. At times it reminded me of certain aspects of the Escapists for some reason. I think what could really help bring this game to life is some sprites for the characters. That being said I still liked the game and found the concept interesting. Good job!

Hi fredxvi, I think that you approached the theme "Out of Control" from a really interesting angle. The idea of building a game around doing your best to make others happy, even if it isn't always possible really works for me. Unfortunately, I don't think it worked out in this case. I can see why you may have wanted to make the mechanics, and responses of the AI, obtuse. What social interaction isn't a bit obtuse? But, It did not translate into a game I  want to play. I was unsure what my chocolates, singing, and cha-chinging  was doing most of the time. I think that it would be really awesome to see you take another stab at this idea. More games about making other people happy are always appreciated!

Honestly, this game had so many bugs. I think more feeback from the characters could have helped but this game had so many bugs during development that i really only got out a tech demo. Sickness and sleepyness spreads. Happyness, mediocre, sadness, and anger are all caused by the fact that each ability has an AOE around the player and causes the AI to change states. I definately could see myself trying out this idea again. :)

Played about 5 rounds. Couldn't really find a rhyme or reason to what was going on. I wasn't even sure I knew all the controls so I spent a few minutes clicking random keys to see if there was any way to interact other than moving around.

On the game page all the controls where listed and the was for you to interact with the game world. Move with WSAD and interact with IJKL

I think what's missing is some feedback to let the player know the consequences of what he's doing. Even if it  depends on the player only for a small part, it feels like nothing much is happening. But the idea is nice, keep it up
