I had a lot of fun! The feedback you get when you bang into everything is super satisfying. A lot of chaos, and very challenging. I couldn't stop trying to beat my high score over and over, coming up with new strats each time. I got 147 lol

Revealing the topic at a conceptual level!)

really good game, the idea is great, art is great, animations, polish, feel is great, everything is great

This is great! Could use a bit more polish, bit I like the idea!

Love that somebody else is using science as the base theme, that alone is a huge plus for me! The gameplay is good and the music was great, one nitpick is the sprite is too small for me to see, but I think that was intentional right? Good job!

Submitted

What a great concept. The music was great as well. It's definitely hard to control whether or not you get hit, but that's par for the course I think.

cool, the music is fitting, and it looks nice. It kind feels a bit random whey you die, but i guess that fits the theme well. also the pling sound when hitting objects feels a bit week compared to the background music. Here is a video of me playing the game:

You did really well! 142 is a great score! Agree that I maybe need a better death animation or death FX. Something to signal, "Hey you died, but here's your score". SFX are definitely not my strong suit, I need to get a bit better at that. Thank you for playing and making a video!

My favorite game from the jam so far! The music and visuals give it a real vibe , I love it! A dash could have been a good idea, or another type of particles. Very unique ദ്ദി ˉ꒳ˉ )✧ 10/10

Developer

Wow! That's very kind of you to say. Funny you mention the dash. The "Shield" originally started as a dash (I never changed the animation), but the challenge was once it got really chaotic, it was too hard to tune the dash so you get an adequate dodge without launching into other particles. But I agree that some additional particle types and maybe some additional abilities or movement options could really improve the game. Maybe a roguelike with random upgrades? Appreciate your kind words and you taking the time to play!

Very nice game and smooth mechanics. wasnt very clear the goal of the other objects the towers or whatever but nice. and also the level system wasnt clear. when is a new level starting?

Developer

Thanks for playing and leaving some feedback. Another player struggled with something similar. It's a score chaser. So there's only 1 level. You're just meant to rack up as high a score as you can, but adding additional levels could be a nice improvement. Appreciate the feedback and you taking the time to play.

Nicely done! that was truly chaotic. I don't think I've ever seen something like this so props for being super original.

Great interpretation of the theme. Although at first I had a little trouble understanding the objective, once you get it, the game is a lot of fun and the feeling of hitting each particle is very satisfying. The music also accompanies it very well and it looks very polished. Congratulations!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. Probably should've been a bit clearer that it's a score chaser, and maybe considered the onboarding process a bit more. Alas hindsight is always 20/20 in a short game jam. Thanks for taking the time to play my game and leave a comment!

For sure, love a good time waster!

Fun little game! Nice visuals and the gameplay felt smooth/polished. I love how as the player you build up the chaos yourself, a fun representation.

Developer

Thank you! Appreciate the kind words. That's what I was going for, so I'm glad it came through!

Feels great to play! The movement is soo smooth and lots of particle effects going on to keep things visually interesting. Chaos is definitely created towards the end!

Developer

Great to hear! Thank you for the kind words!

Nice game! It had that satisfying feeling of watching the chaos you created unfold, like it was all your work. I even found myself watching the game over screen just because they were still bouncing in the background.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I definitely wanted to make a game where you were the one creating the chaos so I'm glad that came through. Appreciate you playing and taking the time to leave a comment.

Fun little game! It’s an unique concept and well executed. I like how it really progressively gets more chaotic, but you sort of are in control of how fast it becomes more chaotic. The visuals and player feedback is really well done. One thing I would definitely recommend is to give players a fullscreen option because I couldn’t see the bottom and top of the game at the same time.

Developer

Thanks for the kind words. Good note on the fullscreen. Slipped my mind. Appreciate you taking the time to play.
