Such a fun game, it felt so exciting charging in with an army of duplicates! It definitely got chaotic, at the expense of my computer haha. If you wanted to cut back on lag, you could also have duplicates despawn when they're off screen, along with the other suggestions in the comments.

Honestly though, great job! One of my favorites so far :)

This was a lot of fun and chaotic - I tried to challenge myself by not shooting anything and just surviving. Still exploded PC haha

Not putting a limit on how much duplicates you can have is wild... but i'm all for it.

It is a really cool concept with a lot of potential! although it isn't very challenging right now. The player is pratically unstoppable.

Really fun and definitely CHAOTIC game! I liked the doubling effect, even though I started to experience lag on it (that was probably the BBEG of the game, lol.)

You can also limit doubling to only the boss level, and make the boss's strength proportional to the number of doublings used) And so that it is written on the boss itself why he is so strong)))

A wonderful game!

This is insane in the best way possible, an absolute bonkers idea that's really, really fun. Like some of the players have mentioned, I think limiting the amount of duplicating you can do will not only help performance but also make the player think a bit more strategically about how they want to play. Maybe forcing the player to get all duplicates to the end goal so that when you double a lot, you get a lot of firepower, but now you can't maneuver as easily. Either way, there's a really cool idea in here that I think with a bit more refinement and polish could turn into a really nice prototype. Good work!

I enjoyed that this brought my PC to a standstill haha! Great concept but could use optimization to maybe not calculate projectiles when some dubblers are not on screen. Also I think the level where there's a giant sprite moving up and down is bugged maybe? I had dubblers alive but it would reset when like a few of them died.

Thank you so much! I definitely will add optimization and limits sometime in the future, but for the purposes of the Jam and the theme (and time lol), I wanted no limits. But outside of that, I definitely will add some optimization. I'm sorry there was an issue in the boss level, I didn't encounter that issue once during development, so I'll do some digging.

Very cute little game! It's really fun that there is no limit to the number of characters you can duplicate (even if my computer doesn't like it).
