This was addicting, I had to stop myself before I played this all night trying to get better high scores. lol

It has a lot of juice, very good feedback, and I really love the trading role system. I don't think I've seen that often in games, and you made it really fun. Good job! :)

That's so kind, thank you! And you managed to get a great score, I set above 200k to be "beating" the game, so congrats :D
Next time I will look into if it's possible to save your highscore so you can compete with others :) Thank you again for playing

This game is actually very nice. Might not look like it but it is cool. Creative and well executed.

Developer

Thank you kindly! The hardest part for me is making the game visually interesting, I will try to improve that until next jam :D

I had fun with this game! I understand that the point of the chaos was the role reversal — cool idea. One small piece of feedback: in each iteration, I often took damage because I forgot my objective as a square, etc. Maybe a pointer or a glowing highlight on the current shape could have helped !

Developer

Thank you for playing, and for the feedback! I think with your suggestion, making everything more visually intuitive, I could have fixed another problem with this game which is the tutorial text (it's a bit too much text I think). So if I had to change something it would definitely be that! :)

Glad to help! Feel free to contact me if needed. Wish you the best of luck!

Great concept. There's a ton of potential here for further iteration and building this bigger game. One thought I had is what if the decisions you make as different roles affect the following run? So if you use the dash a certain number of times as a Square, then the squares will get to use the dash that many times when they chase you as you play as a star. Anyway, this really got my gears turning. Super imaginative and clever. A bit more visual polish and game juice and you'll have yourself an incredible prototype. Nice work!

Developer

Aha, that's a great idea! Like the more shots you shoot as the triangle, the more will future triangles shoot at you. And dashing like you suggested. I wish I had thought of that :D

really nice concept!

Love the concept, simple but chaotic!

Like the music, tho its a bit too loud with no slider. Got 414700 points, too much "style" points are given when dodging squares. Playing as all the roles is really cool

Great job getting so many points, I didn't think anyone would get more than 200k, haha! Thank you for your feedback :)

Love the idea of playing as all the roles. Found that protecting the star was the most fun! Great work!

Nice game, it was fun! I like the concept. Playing as the square feels better in my opinion, especially when there are too many triangles shooting at you, but the rest of the gameplay is solid as well.

Thank you for playing! :) I'm curious, did you think it was clear that you get bonus points for dashing through squares in the star phase?

Submitted(+1)

Honestly no , i didn't even think of doing it ! i guess i could've had way more points xd

Developer(+1)

its a lot of tutorial text so its understandable, haha!

This was good fun, my favorite parts were how smooth the dash was and the music was great!
