Wow, really fun game, I really loved it. All the different mechanics to make money work great making it a really enjoyable roguelike experience. Together with the great retro art style and music it feels really nice to play. One thing that I think should change is that it took some time for the wheel to spin, which slowed things down. But overall, great job!
Thanks for playing, I’m happy you enjoyed. The Drop button being Q is right, It’s on oversight on my part. I have a AZERTY-keyboard instead of QWERTY. That at the end of the tutorial is intentional, though I ain’t sure why I left it in. The guards being easy was intentional, though I do believe it could use more playtesting and balancing. A map is a great idea, I initially thought to generate the map on a plane (instead of a straight line) but due to the technical difficulties I went with the straight line approach and so people don’t get lost as easily, maybe after the rating period I’ll update it with more advanced map generation and a map. Not getting all the loot is kind of part of the game, though it comes to more personal preference if you open enough safes the difficulty will increase and so will the loot so you won’t have to walk as far for the same amount, but it’s at the cost of more Guards and Lasers.
Really fun concept, the interpretation of the theme is really unique and well executed. The art style and sounds are a bit lacking but overall I had quite a lot of fun playing it. The balance of the game is quite good, you can’t just use all your biscuits or you’ll blow up is a really good way of balancing it out. Great job!
This is a lot of fun! I love the gameplay mechanics, it’s very unique especially that you have to use many different tools to keep your garden nice and tidy. The game slowly on get more and more chaotic and difficult which really incorporates the theme very nicely. It took some time to understand what each tool did. It could definitely use an in game tutorial. But overall it was a great experience. The art style looks great and the music fits it quite nicely as well. The game feels intuitive and the player feedback is really good. Great job!
Wow, thank you so much! The video really gave me a lot of insight on how it feels for someone else to play the game for the first time. And indeed you’re right there is no win or loose condition, I focused a bit too much on the mechanics and gameplay leaving me with no time to implement them. I now see that the difficulty seems to be a bit too easy, maybe after the rating period I’ll make an update that fixes some of the issues. I hope you enjoyed and thanks a lot for the video, it really helped!
I really like the concept. The enemies feel interesting but are quite difficult. I did manage to beat level 6 and must say I enjoyed it. It could maybe do with an extra movement mechanic like a dash so you can be a bit faster than the enemies, that way it would be a bit easier too. Overall, great work!
Fun little game. It definitely feels very chaotic. The art style is nice and simple but sometimes it doesn’t always feel right. Maybe by changing the diamond so it stands out more could help for the player feedback. The music sometimes feels a bit overwhelming, it could maybe do good with a different sound track. The dashing mechanic does make the gameplay feel a lot more enjoyable. Maybe adding a jump could also be fun? With a bit more polishing this could really be a fun game! Good job!
Really good game! It’s very enjoyable. The gravity mechanic feels great, it takes some time to get used to but once you’ve got the hang of it it feels perfect! The game feels very complete with surprisingly quite a lot of content for three days.
The music and art style fits the game perfectly and it’s very intuitive, everything is clear and the visual feedback for the player feels spot on. Great job!
