A good game that could use a few changes. For one, I think that it was kinda hard to tell what was a wall and what was a floor at some points. Another would be restarting from the beginning made me lose interest. But otherwise this is a well polished and good game!

Well this game had a lot of confusion to it. Also clearly lacks some music.
Nice starting scene and good effort on making a 3D game though. The main mechanics are also quite clever.

A few complaints from my side:
1) The tiles did not help with depth perception. F.e. in the second room it looks like there is a wall you can just walk around, while in reality you have to phase through the grating downwards.
Maybe some other way of lighting the surroundings would have been better.
2) The combat was damn confusing. I can't attack, but I can possess enemies to hit other enemies? The dragon guys can hit me while I am a ghost? You kind of made a level to teach to player that he can possess enemies, but in that level the normal reaction is to just phase past the enemy directly into the exit, so the player would not even notice that he possessed the enemy there.
3) Physics of the jump do not feel good. Jumps too fast, drops too fast.

This looks really cool! The isometric aspect was awesome, however, the map can get kinda confusing, since depending on the camera some walls dissapear and make it quite hard to navigate, but is not much problem.

One thing I didn't like was that when you get hit, you have to start from the beginning, and I got hit. A lot. Maybe restart in the same room or a room behind, because having to repeat everything all over again can get kinda boring. But despite that, it was a really cool game!

The intro was astonishing! The isometric art makes the map a bit confusing tho, but I still really liked the game, turning into a ghost is fun!

The perspective was really interesting! I love that its a diagonal view, I've never seen that before. I also loved the sword swinging animation on the enemies, really satisfying!

possessing enemies and controling them is a cool mechanic, but controls were a bit clunky.

I like the idea, and the visuals look nice at first, but then you realize you can't differentiate between different levels of elevation. I never managed to get past the warrior, because every time I controled it I went through the gate and wasn't able to do anything afterwards. I wish restarting would get you at the beginning of the room instead of the beginning all the game.

Getting stuck after possessing and then leaving the level is a known bug. If you wait a few seconds after you get stuck and then try to go ghost again you'll get out of it.

I wanted to add checkpoints but I just didn't have enough time :P

Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing!

Nice idea and cool visuals but in this isometric type of perspective it is sometimes hard to interpret were something is located in 3D space.

I'm not sure if it is a bug but sometimes nothing happens when I try to go into ghost mode. If the time you can stay in ghost mode and the time it is possible to go into ghost mode are limited you must signal this to the player.

It would also be good if the player had (automatic) checkpoints for every room

Developer

I wanted to make it easier to tell where you were my designing the levels so you wouldn't ever really be behind something but I ran out of time so couldn't redesign problematic levels. You can use E and Q to turn the camera if that's any help though I never communicated this to the player during the game.

With the ghost mode not working sometimes, there's about a 1 1/2 second cooldown to use it which in later testing I've only found annoying but I didn't have enough time to tweak it as it was something I added last second.

Checkpoints would have also been nice but again, I managed my time poorly.

Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback!

I love that intro. Wish it saved what room I got into, because I had some trouble when running into the first enemy.

Interesting story with an equally interesting mechanic to go along with it. Great entry!

That was really slick!  I liked the possession.  Took me a while to get the hang of it.  It seemed a bit odd when I tried to take a possessed character through to the next level and seemed like I kept getting stuck.  I could ghost to get out of that, though.  I wish that dying reset the stage rather than all the way back to the beginning (I died a lot).

I liked your game!  Slick concept and really excellent execution.

Glad you liked it! I wish I had more time for playtesting and polish or I would have caught and fixed a lot of that but I missed the first half or so of the jam

I really liked it! The opening (and ending) looked great. It's kinda hard to see the level geometry though and sometimes the textures flicker at the borders. But I loved how you could take control of the enemies. I wish it was a bit longer! Really fun and really pretty. :)

I liked the idea I came up with but I ran out of time so I couldn't really fix everything.

Thanks for playing!

HTML version would not play.  Played V2 instead.

It looks really cool. The opening cutscene was done well.  Game was decent.

There's a downloadable v3 aswell.
I couldn't get the HTML version working. I've never built for the platform. Thanks for not giving up and still trying to find a way to play!
