the workshift loop is really effective in immersing  you in the game's world. You feel like a worker in a science station.

Would love to see it extended somehow, I just wanna inhabit this world you created some more.

Seems to have a lot of potential for something I would spend hours into, but I just couldn't understand how it works.  I think mainly it needs more feedback of what player's inputs are doing. A tutorial would be nice too.

I really hope you work on it further because it already looks amazing and has a great atmosphere to it.

Creative implementation of the theme, the Sysyphus myth goes well with joined together.

The level design is clever and explores the main mechanics well.

Physics were a bit janky (especially the gravity for the player character) making it harder to control than I was expecting.

Creative puzzle mechanic that made my brain hurt ;D

The presentation really stood out for me. A consistent artstyle (including the bit music and sound effects), with beautiful color palettes and the level of polish you would expect from a store-bought game boy minigame.

Thanks! Glad you noticed these details and made to the end. Cheers

great game, I was really engaged. The main mechanic is creative and applied in clever and diverse ways.

Got stumped with the code bit (formed the 4 pieces but don't know what to do with it yet).  Might have to come back to it later because know I need to see this through

Great stuff, I liked your implementation of the "bridge-builder" mechanic. Doesn't seem something so simple to do but it worked well!

Art was on point as well, it was consistent and the style fits nicely with the gameplay.

At first I had trouble understanding the interplay between the character movement and the building mechanic, but then I realized that the point is to climb through the structure as you are building it. To emphasize this, I would consider not giving the character an infinite jump, to make sure you have to climb the structure instead of just levitating to the place you want.

Awesome job overall!

that's so nice! Glad you liked it and thanks for taking the time to say it!

Thanks, that's valuable feedback! I like your suggestions for the hitboxes and they gave me an idea for a level where you have to throw and grab the brother in midair repeatedly. Cheers

Brasileiro hahaha? Que bom que você curtiu, cara, fico feliz! E é isso que você falou, com irmãos brigamos mas depois estamos juntos de novo. Abraço

I like the way the goat moves and the dashing mechanic feels very impactful. However I found it a bit awkward to use it for scoring goals. I would love to see the same mechanic used in other ways, as I enjoyed more knocking the other player off screen than shooting the ball.

Very unique interpretation of the concept. And the mechanics allow for a surprising amount of different strategies.

Controls could be tweaked to make it a bit more maneuvarable (many times I ended up grabing an object when I wanted to paddle). Very cool nonetheless, could easily see this being expanded with different enemies and add-ons to put on the raft.

Well designed little puzzle with an interesting mechanic.

Love the aesthetic too, very unique and well executed. And the music fits nicely with the mood.

hahahha yes!! I find that there's something intrinsically funny about that, glad you find it too.  And now I'm curious about your approach, I will check it out! Cheers

Boa, bacana conhecer outros desenvolvedores brasileiros, não conheço nenhum. Vou te seguir

Yep, totally agree. I wanted to explore the mechanic further and play more with the level design, but in 48 hours it's tough. Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback.

PS: é brasileiro?

Very solid entry! Creative concept and well executed.

Love the minimalistic aesthetic too: details like the fluid animations, subtle effects (like dissolving upon death), color palette, particles in the background, etc., really make the minimalistic approach work. Great little game!

wow thanks, that's high praise! And glad that you got the humour in it hahaha

nice concept and execution, very polished for a jam game. With some minor tweaks I could easily see it as a paid casual game.

I would consider being a bit more gradual with the challenge, it gets steep kinda suddenly.

this mechanic is truly unique, I can't even imagine how does one come with that.

Love the aesthetic, great color choices. You nailed the feel and sound effects too, like the ticking sound when you press the arrows to move the lines, feels like I'm tinkering with precise astronomical instruments.

Impressive entry!

I very much like your interpretation of "joined together" as ecological balance. Original and actually kinda deep.

Glad that you got to the end and had fun! As for the maze level, I think you found a solution that I haven't found myself, which is awesome!

(1 edit)

I really like the main mechanic, it's action-oriented but with an estrategic element to it, I love this type of stuff. Very nicely polished too, with fitting visuals and sounds and a good feel to the shooting.

I think this could work as full game with you ever decide to expand it.

I wasn't getting the deeper layer at the start, but blowing out bricks is fun and the physics system was very good.

Ah, and the music notes with the clicks were a really cool addition, kinda of a luxury in jam game.

congrats on your first game and for finishing within the 48h. It's raw but that doesn't matter, the goal of a first game is to finish it, and you did that!

The main mechanic has potential to be a fun little game, the physics is cool.

solid entry, well done all around. Good concept that fits the theme and nicely polished.

Cool, I went for a kinda similar concept, but we took it in very different directions.

I like that both characters have important atributes and that you actually need the crybaby to progress.  I also really liked that you did a level select screen, these details make jam games so much better.

yeah the same happened to my gtmk jam game last year. This time I tried to lean more to the easy side, but as you said, is always hard to playtest properly in these jams.

Your game is solid though, impressive that you did it by yourself.

HAHAHA that's great, poor little guy.

Thanks for noticing the design! I tried to give it a different twist with each level.

that would make for a cool bonus level!

Art is very good, you guys created a very charming and unique little world there.

Feels good to move around, even just knocking things over is fun.

Got stuck in the first puzzle with the glue, but started over and made it through.

Ah, and that bone rattling sound is a thing of beauty.

very unique mechanic that fits perfectly with the theme.

Visuals, sound effects and music also on point.

Good developers say that for your first game your main concern should be just finishing it. Not only you managed to do that but you did it in 48 hours and sticking to the theme of joined together. Congrats!

- Really like the 1-bit look, goes well with the space theme.

- Cool that you made the eggs and powerups spawn at different spots each time, adds replayability.

- Would tweak the controls to make it a bit more maneuverable.

- So simple yet manages to convey a sense of exploration and venturing forth.

- Love the implementation of the theme, creative and fun.

- The look and sound effects fit perfectly.

- A detail I found especially elegant is the somewhat "built in" tutorial: you are able to get the first pieces of junk without worrying about the time limit. Once you learn the basics, you have to breach the ship and then the challange starts.

glad you got the humor in it! Thanks for taking the time to play and leaving a comment

very unique mechanic. Loved the feature that alternates between normal speed and slow motion.

Impressive variety of enemies for such a short amount of time, and great overall presentation.

great presentation, love the aesthetic.

Very unique mechanic.

Wasn't super clear what I had to do, what I had to avoid, etc.

art cover instantly caught my eye. And that cutscene was impressive. Sounds and music are great too.

The main mechanic is very original, but felt a bit clunky to me at times.
