Very interesting mechanic. Cool mix of exploration and environmental puzzle solving. Great job :)

Developer

Thank you so much! :)

Really impressive amount of content for a jam game! At first I was extremely confused, but after a while, I got the hang of it and had a great time. :D

Developer

Thank you! :)

Love the presentation and crisp game mechanics. Nice work! :)

Developer

Thanks a bunch!

Submitted(+1)

This is really good :) I managed to finish with 810/800 at literally the last second.

Developer(+1)

Thanks and great work as well! :)

Great game. Loved exploring around. The amount of polish is insane! Starts from the amazing GMTK splash screen. Very cool to see pico8 games like this!

Congrats on submitting.

Developer

Thank you! Pico-8 can be very powerful and useful in game jams! you can start very quickly and you don't have to be affraid to reach the code limit as that is probably very unlikely in a jam!

I did LD this year in Pico8. It was fun but I feel like I'm not at the level yet where I can quickly create games without an engine :)

Developer(+1)

Cool! Everyone has their own way of working, for me at least frameworks fits me better than engines, but I want to give Godot a try :)

Submitted(+1)

It was my first time using Godot and it felt really intuitive! I do want to return to Pico8 for the "A game by its cover" jam though. You should check that out if you don't know it yet!

Submitted(+1)

It looks really great, very polished, I think if I had one criticism it would be that there was no sense of urgency, didn't really feel like there was any threat? I had a good time, though. And again, the game looks great.

If you get a chance to check out my game, that'd be appreciated! :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Fair point, I wanted the time pressure so you have to use the dash, but maybe I need to come up with some visualization of the ship is about to explode

Submitted(+1)

Maybe some music too? And you could have the timer flash red after every minute and play an alarm sound to remind you that you're on a timer!

Submitted(+1)

really impressive amount of polish for a pico8 game. well done mate

Developer

Thank you mate!

Submitted(+1)

Lots of fun, I love zipping around space with the dash. The unique noises for each item is a nice touch. I can see this kind of traversal method being a lot of fun in a roguelike or procedurally generated kind of level system. Abstract but interesting and fun, really well done!

Developer

Thank you! Lovely to hear that you noticed the different sounds, I liked creating unique sounds for each item :)
Definitely, could see that as well!

Damn this was one of the most satisfying games to me! really feels great collecting and bringing the strange pellets to home bubble thing! Just that one bug that makes you go through the walls backwards was a bit annoying. Other than that, nice game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah, the bug should be fixed in a post jam update :)

Quite fun, I had a great time!

Developer

Thanks!

What an amazing game, 5 stars! Beautiful in every sense and such a cool and fun concept! I wish there wasn't a timer so I could spend my time sapping every last bit of joy out of this game that I could!

Developer

Wow, thank you!! I will add a non timer mode in a post jam update so you can swim around and take your time ☀️

Submitted(+1)

I was terrible at dashing but this game conveys exploration pretty nicely. Five stars for sure

Developer(+1)

Thanks and also  dashing can be a bit tricky

Submitted(+1)

I really wish there hadn't been a timer, I was at around 600 and wanted to keep exploring. Nice game, great idea!

Developer

Thanks! As a post game jam update I will definitely add a non timer mode ☀️

Submitted(+1)

It's so satisfying to just move around the game world and explore

Developer

Thanks, I tried to make the most basic interaction fun to do 🙏🏻

Submitted(+1)

I love the sense of discovery I get from this game. I could play this for hours. Really nicely done.

Developer

Thank you so much!

Fun little concept, original but quick to pick up how to play.
I think I finished it, or at least I ate the gameboy which is a win of it's own.

Developer(+1)

Eating a Game Boy is always a win in my book!

Submitted(+1)

I really enjoyed playing this, loved the sense of exploration from finding new things the further I traveled.

Developer(+1)

Thanks, I loved creating fun stuff to find! :)

Submitted(+1)

Really well done and polished little experience, with a really appealing idea and solid execution! I loved the little ouches that come out when I hit something! A cute little detail!

Developer

Thank you! :)

- So simple yet manages to convey a sense of exploration and venturing forth.

- Love the implementation of the theme, creative and fun.

- The look and sound effects fit perfectly.

- A detail I found especially elegant is the somewhat "built in" tutorial: you are able to get the first pieces of junk without worrying about the time limit. Once you learn the basics, you have to breach the ship and then the challange starts.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you so much! And especially the tutorial part, I am proud that.

Very interesting and had lots of character! Such a bizarre situation!  Very fun.

Developer

Thank you!
