Really fun game. I love that the recipes have somewhat mysterious names. Also, I want to try making these recipes for real. If I do I'll let you know!

The graphics are great, and they helped to set the mood that this is no ordinary kitchen. The music feels very "old world restaurant" as well. I don't know if it was intentional, but this feels like a fun take on Overcooked.

I hope you develop this further because it has a lot of potential.

It's a little bit hard to get into. But if you catch it, it's nice. I tried to "learn" the monster language, but could no system found. I asked me if there is one? I would like, if I could learn it and could deciver the reciept out of the language.

Keep up the work

Really cool ! Good job on the atmopshere and pixel art.
I still think less ingredients per recipe and/or less recipe per floor will lead to a more enjoyable learning curve of the game : actually it's kinda rough.
IMO, icons on the crates will not only smooth the curve, but will also change the whole challenge of the game quite significantly : I though of memorizing the ingredients as a part of the gameplay.

It's up to you to decide on the modifications post-jam, but I will definetely give it a new try after a few updates (if you plan to do so !).

Well done !

finally got around to playing this one after seeing it on a stream :D

really cool little game! Gameplay is entertaining, and the overall atmosphere and music is top-notch.

Great job!

Great submission! I'm a big fan of overcooked and love your game, sound art and gameplay are really good. Only thing I'm missing is the coop but I can understand the lack of it as game design.

This was cute and fun! I got frustrated during my first playthrough because I didn't realize that ingredient order was important. After that, I started to get the hang of it.

I was playing the original upload, not the postgame patch, which I assume is why I didn't seem to get any keys. I delivered about 8 to 10 recipes and the exit door didn't seem to change, so I just quit. Despite that, I still had fun :)

Thank you! Yeah, in the jam version it's easy to missing the falling keys (eye-shaped thing on the image below), that's why we added shining to keys with the patch.

ohh okay, I didn't realize those were keys. Whoops!

Cooking is not difficult and entertaining, even I wonder what it's like to eat fly agaric monsters. The game looks cute, great job.

Absolutely loved it, one of my favourites ! At first I struggled a bit between going left and right, switching pages, finding the recipes and ingredients etc, but after the second key, I was very well organized and delivering recipes extremely fast ! Beat it on first try, so proud of myself ^^

Nice concept and very cute art! Congrats

You managed to create book pages filled with recognizable items in this tiny space, and that's rather impressive.  I think this is the first time I enjoyed playing a cooking game. :)

Excellent game! Great pixel art and everything is surprisingly clear and readable. Also, lovely music and overall atmosphere. The gameplay was a bit challenging at first, but once I knew where things were and got more familiar with recepies, it got pretty fun. Played a bunch of games already and this is certainly one of my favourites so far.

Developer

Oh, thank you very much! :) I'm glad that you like it.

I love the theme and the cooking-based gameplay. The art was all well-executed, and it was all impressively readable at the low resolution. I wish I had a mouth in my kitchen I could just toss scraps down.

This was a fun concept and i loved the music and presentation.  I think a few minor things that could have helped would be a symbol on the crates telling what ingredient is inside, and maybe less walking distance between each ingredient crate.

lovely!

Excellent pixel art. The palette looks really nice too. I like that the chef just has a giant mouth in the middle of their kitchen.

The art is super lovely - Congrats on that! Interesting game concept too. Great job :)

Really fun, I love the creepy concept coupled with a cooking game, I don't think i've ever seen this before!

I thought this was a really excellent game! Graphics were really nice, and meals are a bit challenging. I love all the little background elements too! My only issue is that it wasn’t clear exactly what I needed to do. First try I threw stuff in a pot and it went bad… over cooked I guess, but I wasn’t even aware that was a thing. The second attempt I just tried making a meal from the book, which I did, only to learn I was supposed to make a specific meal! I didn’t quite understand that.

Once figured out though, this game was very very charming! Excellent job!

Developer

Thank you very much for the playing and for the kind words! Yes, it might be not very clear, I'm add little instruction in description special for this, maybe I need move it to the top of description or completely rewrite.

To be fair, I don’t usually read the description page. So, perhaps everything was explained there.
