The main gameplay is good, I like the art part, especially the visual of the maps, it could have been great in multiplayer, great job!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! Multiplayer were in my plans (And a Boss too) but I needed more time for that haha

Submitted(+1)

I am absolutely blasted away by how much you have made within the game jam! Really love the game.

Great game! Well polished and I especially loved the player spawn and intro squence.

Only improvement I can think of on the fly is having a unique mouse icon for different elements. the standart white mouse icon sometimes blended in the game :)

Developer

Thank you! I was very satisfied with the spawn animation too! :)

Your improvement is a great addition! I don't know why I was not thinking about to change the Cursor. Excellent idea

Very impressive game!  A lot of work clearly went into this! Great Job!  Overall this is one of the best game's I've seen!

Just to provide some constructive feedback, first thing I didn't appreciate the tutorial unlocking the ice attack and then finding it was locked again in the first level.  Maybe this was just me but the knockback on the fire attack didn't feel strong enough compared to the slowdown of the ice attack.  I felt like the game was forcing me to grind to progress (i.e. do the same level over and over to collect upgrades) which personally I'm not a fan of, but that's more of a personal preference.  As an improvement, I think it'd be nice if the energy floated towards you within a radius (that might have been an upgrade, I didn't read them all).  BTW check out my game, we had a similar concept to yours, only way less polished :)

Anyway great job again, this could be a winner!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

The unlock and lock iceball thing was really a thing I was thinking about how to make it right..:/
But I wanted a game where you have to grind a little bit to gain some skills and better stats.

A game where you are not strong but get stronger after every failure was my goal. But it's totally fair if this type of game is not for you! Even friends of me don't like this game types haha.

And I fell dumb - How can I forget such an important and common feature like a skillable collecting radius...XD

Wow very addicting game, really well designed, so close to be a released game in my opinion.

Your arts is wonderful, I love it!

Impressive!

everything on it is almost perfect, i'm seeing in this jam some almost ready for steam games, this is one of them

Submitted(+1)

The browser version did not work for me (couldn't attack, neither on pad or mouse (despite me using the scrollbar as instructed).

That said, downloaded version worked without any problems. I spend quite some time on this game, extremely addicting (also, earth magic is the MVP). My highscore in endless was 722.

Developer(+1)

722 ?? Holy shit

Earth magic is really OP I guess haha.

Submitted(+1)

Getting the dev surprised about the high score is the biggest praise I could've received. :D

Developer(+1)

You know I didn't have much time to playtest my own game. I finished it 5 hours before the timelimit :D
I only playey through it two times. So I was not sure how the balancing turns out

OMG! Perfection!

One day, I want to draw at this same level, the graphics are completely stunning and the music is perfect for this game.

The game is very polished and the mechanics work very well; nice theme usage.

I'm impressed. It's a masterpiece!

Developer(+1)

Wow thank you for your kind words. It means a lot for me!!! :')

You will be surely get on this level one day! I started pixelart 2-3 years ago and I can't even draw good pictures with a real pen and paper haha.

Submitted(+1)

This plays like a whole feature game. The artwork is bananas, and the game plays in such a polished way. Super impressed!

Submitted

Loved the pixel art tho, the game is quite hard, enemies nonstop lol but i love it and the ARMAGEDDON is great!

Submitted(+1)

Very nice submission, I really liked the pixelart in this game, good job!

Developer

Thank you! ♥

Submitted(+1)

Wow. The art is gorgeous, and the game is so polished. It doesn't feel like a game jam submission, it's amazing work.

Developer

I'm glad you liked Mr. Blood Bucket (loved your game btw)

I really created the pixelart as fast as possible so I can improve it even more! :) Thanks for your comment!

This game was fantastic! I burned so many monsters.

Developer(+1)

Oh yes baby!!!

The moment you max that thundersword *intro riff to Rhapsody of fire - Holy Thunderforce starts to play* :D

Okay so silly joke aside i really had tons of fun playing your game, and the fact that you made a full on upgrade menu system with this many spells and all for a jam game is really impressive :O

I just had some initial hiccups, i wanted to try through the web version but i had a strange bug, i properly clicked in the game window upon start and all to make sure the mouse input worked, and i could click on menu buttons and all but in the tutorial i couldn't shoot the fireball spell when asked to no matter what i did so i'm not sure what happened there :/ so i took the download build.

So other than this oddity with the web build, i had no other issues what so ever, i had a good time, i love the art and music, and i really liked the fact that even if you fail you keep your points so you can upgrade and have an easier time upon retry.

You did really well, congrats and good job ^^

Developer(+1)

Man I hate the HTML builds x) Thank you for playing!
I'm glad that you had fun with it :)!

Submitted

No problem your game was tons of fun :)

and well html builds are convienient but they still do have thjeir issues ^^'

Submitted(+1)

Yo! I knew I already liked the art from what you posted on reddit.. The gameplay loop + progression to each level was really fun and natural too. It's already super polished for a game jam game, but I think there's a lot of potential here if you wanted to make it a full game, especially with a few tweaks with UI and balancing. Anyway, it was a lot of fun! I would've totally been down to play more levels lol

Developer

The Balancing is a mess because I did not have much time for playtest haha! thanks!

(+1)

This feels like almost a full game to be released commercially tbh, Although I only felt the fireball spell is the most useful in every case, I just had a fun by playing this game!

It's unfortunate that I can't rate your entry as I only had halfway done my 3D RTS game and I don't submit it because I felt this is incomplete for this game jam.

Developer(+1)

HEy! Thanks :)

The Fireball is a very good alrounder. But in this build - if you maxed Earth or Thunder AND your MP..these weapons are OP.
I had no time for balancing all these things right haha.

I hope you will finish your next jam in time!

Submitted(+1)

I am impressed you added so many features! And nice pixel art!

Submitted(+1)

Amazing game! It doesn't even look like a game made for jam. Really awesome!!!

Submitted(+1)

crazy that you did this in such a short time, it's almost a full game!

good job

Animus for the win!

Amazing game, lots of features and everything so well explained. Has some complexity but a low learning curve. Just amazing, thanks for this game.
