Really good shooter !

I had quite some fun with this one, and i like the little details like the power meter / ammo bar that turns around to display the various weapons energy levels and the weapons themselves felt very varied, and i also like that metroid prime esque approach where they doubled as keys for certain doors.

The graphics are awesome for a jam game, and i like the bot's character design ^^ plus gotta love that looooong title XD

If i had to nitpick i'd say that some areas could use a bit more lighting to see a bit better cause some were really dark.

Other than that solid entry.

Well done :)

Sidenote : Your apology has been noted on behalf of the AZERTY People :p

Very polished gameplay and beautiful art!
I like the impact when you kill an enemy, especially with a purple gun!
Well done!

Very well made game, I like the light effects :)

Well, good little adventure! I like isometric games. Mechanics and style nice too.

Nice graphics and interesting title haha.

The gameplay is consistent and the theme usage is smart.

Well done! Great job!

Thank you for your feedback! This is the kind of title that happened when you need don't have a title and need to upload quickly before the end of the jam!

Great game, I really can see this turning in a complete commercial game

Developer

Thanks for your kind words. It means a lot!

Great game! One thing I would appreciate is some way to get back health (not sure if I missed that or if it actually isn't there). I liked how the energy balls bounce around the walls! On my first play-through I forgot about the different weapons, and didn't end up using them ;)

Developer

Thanks your feedback, I'm glad you liked it! Yes, there is a way to get back health: From the core, if you take the door on the down-left you will find a repair bay. There, you'll find a blue charger platform, blue energy is actually your life.

Pretty solid game, I like the idea of the vacuum and I enjoyed how the shots bounce around, the graphics are cool too!

Good idea having to vacuum your energy source! The graphics are great (thanks for sharing the tutorials needed by the way!). Would you mind sharing a "how-to" or something explaining your process from modeling in blender to bringing your characters to Godot? (I could really use some 3D knowledge!). Thanks for the game, it was a great experience!

Thanks for your kind words! Glad you liked it.

As for sharing a "how-to", I'm planning on doing a devlog explaining the whole back and forth process with blender in the futur.

But as for know, maybe that tutorial can help: Blender to Godot

Don't hesitate to ask me question directly, I will gladly answer.

Loved the different types of weapons! And the general look of the game was quite coherent. Great job!

and ohh boy that tittle is something!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! I tried hard to keep the look coherent, I'm happy it shows.

I love the concept of the different guns with different energies that have more effects than just hurt the robots. it reminds me a lot of ratchet and clank in that regard. there was clearly a lot of love put into the atmosphere and aesthetics, and it even got a little bit scary at times when the spiders surprised you. Personally, i did experience a lot of lag, which i'm not sure is an issue of the game being ported to HTML, or an issue with my PC. It seems to specifically trigger when enemies were loaded and when more than a couple were calculating their movement. i'm curious about the calculation techniques used in that regard. Wonderful experience overall, great job!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! It's true that I put a lot of my energy in the environment and I'm glad it shows.

Concerning the lag I wasn't able to pinpoint where it come from in such a short amount of time but I think it's related to the first time a sound being played and maybe a lack of optimization of the light count.

The spiders movement is a bit simple, it calculate the distance between them and the player, at a large amount of distance is goes back to it's starting point by using a navmesh, at a middle it jumps (certain spiders jumps certain just don't) and at a short range it follows you in a straight line.

I love the physics in this game and it is so fun to see 3D in the browser like this! Great job! 💙

Nice concept ! If you want to do a bigger game, you'll have to rework the concept I think.

Developer

Thank you! Indeed it works, as its short.

Submitted(+1)

i couldn’t find out how to open the container with the third and final battery. otherwise this is a good game that works well for how short it is (it’d be difficult to extend the game beyond this length and still have it be fun, so it’s good that it’s short).

i also like how there’s no music.

Thank you for your feedback! Maybe this one needed more clue scattered around but: You need to stun a spider and bring them (with your tractor gun) to the furnace at the other end of the cable. And repeat the process 3 time.

The lack wasn't a choice, but a lack of time. I didn't want to just staple some music found somewhere else so I left it like this. But it's interesting to know that it could be more appreciable.

Simple but a good idea! Spent some time with it and even though I had some minor issues, in the end I enjoyed it

Thank you for your feedback. If you have time, I would gladly read about the issues you encountered.
