How does your game fit the theme?
Multiple ways! But the main one: you need to collect the "controls" yourself during play; if you're out of controls, your character also goes mad ("out of control"), which is bad.

It can get really hectic playing as one person and trying to keep track of which character has what keys, but a very fun kind of hectic!  Amazing visuals and great music and sound design!  Really cool that things were randomized allowing for replayablitiy!  Fantastic work!

As a multiplayer game this would be so much fun. Playing it on my own just sorta stressed me out so much, I didn't make it very far haha.

Soundtrack was killer, and the general idea was really good. :)

Keep up the amazing work.

A very cool concept! Quite hard to play, but I love the idea!

Really awesome idea, sometimes I got frustrated with the camera bu that is probably a subjective thing

This was super cool! :)

it's a good idea but I think the execution needs some work. I was finding the tutorial immensely frustrating to play because of how limited your starting controls were. I know that's part of the point but when you can't even get one of the two players into the maze proper it's really frustrating. Maybe start them both with two controls each stage and it could probably work a bit better. But it IS a good idea and could be great with a little work!

Though I absolutely love the idea, it got really frustrating when the game randomly told me I had lost when I was doing just fine... It's a little hard to start, but the gimmick is really cool, and it's pretty cool being able to share controls between players. Id love to see this in actual multiplayer, though probably with some other control types cause joint keyboard playing is a mess. Loved the groovy sneaky music!

Developer

Thanks for playing and feedback! Yeah I completely understand. When I let others player the game (just after the jam deadline unfortunately), I noticed people sometimes being confused as to why they lost the first few times. I should probably add some audiovisual cues when you're losing and some text explaining _why_ you lost.

And yes, I usually add controller support to my multiplayer games, but for a jam game I thought keyboard would be more universally playable. (As it turns out, not everyone has multiple USB-controllers just lying around like me :p)

Neat concept, I love the idea of having to deal with multiple characters at the same time. I think there's a lot going on at the beginning, which makes it a bit hard to pick up, but other than that, great!

This game might most match the theme of the Jam. Very interesting concept. I wish I had a second player so I wouldn't have to watch both characters myself.

Great execution of the concept. Music matches the game well.

very cool idea! I'm not entirely sure how the 'word' combinations work, but it would be cool if you could get even more moves by spelling words with the keys you've collected

Developer

Haha yes after submitting I realized I never explained the word gates: you can only open it if your character has that complete word. I saw my playtesters figuring it out quickly, so I never even put so much as a hint about it in the game :p

And that's a very cool idea (getting more moves by spelling words), thanks! I might just add that in a future version :)

Wow, this is a really fun idea! got me really hooked. It was a bit difficult when one character gets really far from the other as the letters get very small, but great game!

Was lots of fun once I figured out how it worked. Seems best played with a friend

very Creative concept, very well executed for 48 hours. I would recommend playing with a friend

Great game, I like the idea and music a lot. It just a little tough to get into it. The zoom out can also be a big problem for new players, as it makes it harder to see what is going.

Thanks for playing! And yes, if I had more time, I wanted to make a system where you just couldn't move too far away from each other. (Or maybe even a splitscreen, although I doubt how well that would work with the vibe and mechanics of the game.)

Cool concept!

Super interesting concept! Kept at it for a while despite being quite tough!

Very hard but I can see this being really fun!

very cool idea and it looks really good, good job!

Idea is very cool, and graphics are very polished. It's a bit hard though to react with two characters fast enough, I could imagine such a concept would fit very well a turn-based game.

Also nice to see there are some other Godot entries! :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! And yeah, I really love Godot for making Jam games, it's just so fast to make prototypes and try out ideas :)
