It's a very strange game for me as I can't understand it. What I have to do? What is a main goal of the game? Is the black screen a sign of defeat? What shows yellow screen?

Developer

Figuring out those things is basically what the game is about ;)

Most creative game I've seen in... a very long time. Gameplay was fun and my not knowing exactly what to do gave me a true sense of exploration. I wish I knew better what I was doing, but I really enjoyed this.

Very unique and interesting approach! I sadly did't fiqure out how I reliantly collect the yellow stuff which seemed to me the goal of this game :D Probably a score screen would be also nice in some kind of way. This  would give the player feedback if he actually did what was intended. Or just some instructions even if that might stand in conflict with the mysterious game spirit. Overall nice work! :)

Very abstract concept! A very unique approach to the "only one" theme.

I loved the sound effects! For some reason the game made me weird out and laugh.

Thank you for making this game.

I understood that I can maintain screen in blue color infinitely long time by pressing and releasing the space button. But I don't understand what to do next.

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to give me this feedback! the point is not staying in blue forever, but to... venture to the edges and avoid defeat :)

Wow, that's a really cool game! It is very abstract and it takes a lot of patience to figure out what's going on, but when I realized how to control and got to the white screen, that was a great feeling!

Idk if I played it properly, but hey, really creative interpretation of the theme.

The definition of simple!

Wow! A pretty good and simple game. It teaches how to play itself so quick and in a fun way. Loved it!

I hope that you want to check my game too! :D

Took me quite a while to figure out how the controls, sounds, and colours work! I was frustrated at the start,  then I felt curious with every bit of information gathered,  and lastly satisfaction when I figured out how it supposedly works (I'm still not sure, haha)... what a strangely rewarding experience.  It's like stepping into someone else's mind. Well done on a very different type of game :)

P/S: Your game would not run on the Itch.io app. I believe it's because both Windows and Mac versions are in the same ZIP file/upload. I believe it should work in the app, if you separated them into different ZIP files and uploaded them separately.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your elaborate feedback, I'm happy it worked that way for you :)

I will upload the two versions separately, once the jam is over, thank you!

really neat idea I love the sound design

I saw the white light... am I there?
This is a really interesting game. Very unique. It's quite unclear at first...but it's satisfying to figure it out based on the sounds and the colours. And actually.. in hindsight, it's minimalism makes it a bit more clear than quite a few other games which offer so many options but don't explain them well. This game just throws you into the mix and says "figure it out".

I'm not sure if the white light was the end though? I'd say that's one downside to the vagueness of the design. It forces the player to figure it out which is cool but it gives the player nothing which means less certain people will probably give up.

Developer

Thank you! The bright light is the end indeed, congratulations!
I thought of a way to run credits to signal the end, but I couldn't quite make it work with the concept :D

I still don't know what the end goal is, but the mechanics made themselves very clear with some very nice sound design. Cool game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! the end goal will become clear, when you continue doing the thing ;)
