The art, animations and music are great! It reminds me of a mini game on a game called Club Penguin where you have to get fish without touching any jellyfish or sharks

Man, that fish had some niiiiice legs.

Good looking game, I remember we had to read the story of the old man and the sea in highschool! :D

The art and animations are amazing ! I think that the first press on 'e' doesn't work. The gameplay is maybe a bit simple, but hey, i had only one key to press ! Good job, keep making games :)

Developer(+1)

The embedded browser thing needs you to click it first so it can receive the keyboard, but in our case click also works to start the game, so yes, at the end it is like the first key press does not work.

In the native version of the game, however, it does :)

Thank you for the feedback!

Beautiful art and music. I really liked the polished animations and that darn Marlin is so hard to catch! Reminds me of Ridiculous Fishing by Vlambeer, but way way more chill. Great Job!

Wow! The best part by far was the music, but the fishsprites were almost as polished! I loved the legsy one <3

Sooooo, tell me, where can I listen to the music on repeat? Do you have a bandcamp or soundcloud?

Developer(+1)

Nice to hear that you like the music!

Of course there is a SoundCloud! And the jam music is uploaded! Take a look here: https://soundcloud.com/victorseven

Regards from the composer! ^o^

Beautiful art, relaxing music, it fits the theme quite well and overall it's a nice and enjoyable game :)

Nice and relaxing game, really well done.

I liked the art and the music, both top notch, design wise it's really well thought out, especially the music change when the marlin shows up ( because i don't know my fish and i'm not a native english speaker :p so i had no idea what a marlin looked like) the game feel is good the controls are responsive

Congrats to you ! :)

Wow, thank you very much for your kind comment! We're glad you liked it! :D

No prob, it was really fun :)

Nice. I do think you could have allowed more chances to catch the marlin while still sticking to the "only one" theme.

Great atmosphere, especially in the abyss. :-)

I loved the graphics and the music!
I didn't know how the marlin looked like, but the change in music and the extra glow on it made it easy to identify.

Developer

Nice, thank you very much! Several players, though, had some problem identifying the fish, we may add some extra-hint after the jam ends...

Very interesting game with gorgeous graphics :D

Super relaxing game. I gained peace of mind by the end of it

Glad I know what a Marlin looks like! This game reminds me of Frogger if it was one-dimensional. Would've made a nice touch if you put a shark in it for shark week ;) Nice, chill game!

Check out our submission here.

Nice only one chance fishing game, with relaxing music. The artwork is pretty sweet. Good job guys! :)

Amazing art (even though the fish with human legs is somewhat disturbing) and great music (especially the energetic one playing in the abyss, which feels a bit out of place given that the player has lost there). In terms of gameplay it's a bit basic, but I still enjoyed it for it's calming atmosphere.

My godot game: https://njamster.itch.io/wonkey (playable in browser, not mobile friendly)

Awesome game guys! I like how simple yet fun and engaging it is, we also submitted a fishing game for the jam, check it out if you get  a chance!

Submitted(+1)

That's a really chill game, with beautiful art. I like it! :)

I really liked the calm atmosphere to this! It's impressive how you were able to create this wonderful art and music in just two days!

Submitted(+1)

Nice one! it wasn't obvious at first which one I needed to catch :) (okay I didn't read the instructions in details before starting :) )
