Cool game concept. And the aesthetics are quite nice!

very attractive game and nice looking graphics , interesting game play.

Such a fun concept! Watching those rambly racers dash was fun!  Some polish on interactivity could give it some more replay value, but the vibe is gold. Loved the spectator angle!

Submitted(+1)

A surprisingly polished cool little... simulator?  Like others said, wish there were ways to interact with it more but great job!

Submitted(+1)

Looks really good, great graphics/art design and UI. I would prefer more ways to impact on the game while playing it but overall very well done.

More Levers! I want more :D. Make them do more crazy things! Love the idea of shaping the world around to try and manipulate the random running around characters. Not that I could time it right,.. and more often timed it wrong :D.
Nice game idea of the jam theme, well done!

Stan, please... I knew I shouldn't have bet on you!

Definitely a unique idea! The addition of the levers to help or hinder (mostly hinder) the racers is appreciated. It took me a bit to realize that the blue switch slows down everyone but my chosen contestant... however, as Stan demonstrates in the picture above sometimes using that constantly still isn't enough to secure victory. He chose to keep running straight into that obstacles for the rest of the race. 😄

I didn't manage to win the game, but I did gamble away all my money on Mars. And isn't that what it's really about, in the end?

Developer(+1)

Wooo you made it to Mars! and yes, that’s what it’s all about in the end. The characters can get stuck from time to time. I tried refactoring the character script many, many times…. I apologize to you on Stan’s behalf.

At least Stan didn't turn into a bowl of ramen this year. :D

even when I read the description I yelled out "what an awesome idea!" and you didn't dissappoint on the execution. sure, I would wish for more interaction possibilities - maybe even hidden ones - but all in all it was a great experience. also: awesome use of assets! everything looked perfect for the style of game and coherent and the way the camera framed it all - strong!

Fun vibe nice art direction. I wish there was more I could do to influence, RNG can be annoying sometimes

the game was well executed, and polished. but i have a few bad things to say about the game design. for like the first 20 minutes playing i didnt know you could move around the map. so im sitting here wondering how they were winning. then when i found out how they were winning, and could pull a lever to change things in the world it felt underwheliming. like if i was able to turn on a lazer and shoot one of the things that would be more fun. or if the courses were laid out differently and i could do better non violent changes to the map to do more fun things with. then that would be great. other then those few nit pics you made a well executed game. nice job.

Developer

Hey, thanks so much for the feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to play and share your thoughts! Quick question out of curiosity, did you happen to see the little WASD sign in the first level? I’m wondering if I didn’t make it clear enough that the player could move the camera with those keys.

And yeah, I totally get where you’re coming from on the lever action. I was aiming for a silly, non-violent vibe with the world manipulation stuff, but I can definitely see how it might feel underwhelming without a bigger impact on the environment. Thanks again for playing!

Submitted(+1)

yeah just put some text under the WASD that says "Camera", and i would have gotten it right away.

Well done very cute design

Lets go gambling! Oh dang it… Safe to say i'm not horsebetting any time soon. The game is great, loved that you spent time making levels feel alive, gameplay is the defenition of fun (i mean it's gambling innit)

Submitted(+1)

This was very slick! I loved the cute little touches, very nice indeed! One suggestion for possible improvement is after I won a round, I wasn't sure what to do next - the back button here wasn't very intuitive?

Developer(+1)

Ah, that’s a very good point. You are right, what the game developer finds intuitive may not be so for the player. You can still press the retry or the back button after you have won a round. I have to think about how to best convey that. Thank you so much for that input alone!!

You keep bringing out these fun games with great art and a rascally attitude.

Another winner.

Developer

Marcus, you are too kind.

Submitted(+1)

I think I don't fully understand the game so I have not rated it yet. So, I have to pick one of the three characters that I think will make it to the finish fastest? And what exactly does the lever do, it made objects disappear? Sorry, but I'm not familiar with these kinds of games!

Developer

Hey, no problem. You pick one of the characters whom you think might win. First one to reach the flag is the winner, and if your pick wins you get a money reward. You the pull the lever to mess with the obstacles or slow down the other racers (depending on the level) to boost your pick’s chances. It’s meant to be a silly, chaotic betting-style game.

Thanks for checking it out!

Thanks for the explanation! I'll try it again later today!

Cool little game, like the marbles game streamers do but more interactive. Everything looks and sounds really nice.

Submitted(+1)

Overall, it's good. If you develop it further, I think it could be sold because it's like a light-hearted game. Or maybe it could be made into a mobile game.

Submitted(+1)

Good work and great visuals for sure with this. Nice and clean.

Developer

Thanks!

Submitted(+1)

Beautiful work! The levels were all smooth with no lag now. Great visuals and fun gameplay

Developer

Thank you for play testing before the jam deadline!

Very cool game idea, the visuals look great! Even if some things are procedurally generated, I personally don’t mind at all—it fits the style of the game really well. Great work, especially for such a short development time!
