super cute and super fun! i liked the variety of levels and difficulty, esp. with the various weight modifiers. the graphics and music gave a very cozy atmosphere and worked well together. i enjoyed the visual indicators when one side was heavier than the other (tipping as though on a scale + the red weight indicator at the bottom). on the harder levels i did wish for a refresh level button after making a few too many silly guesses. overall a really polished game!!
Very cool game — lots of interesting mechanics! I played it to the end.
A few suggestions for the future:
Add a visible menu button.
Save the player's progress.
When an item’s weight is modified, show its original weight in parentheses or on hover. By the end, with several mechanics affecting weight, it gets hard to keep track.
For the open source category, you'll need to have a README file and License file.
Graphics are really cool, the music is fitting and relaxing. Really cool concept. I like that you didn't just use simplistic items and weight, but thought about other things like multiply boxes, reduce weight etc. The way you calculated scores is creative too: number of moves etc. Nice job. I could play this game for hours.
5/5 from me! Super cool and polished game, deserved to be developed into a bigger title
This was so much fun! I love how there are little "helper tools" along the way that impact how you can balance things, but it fits into the game concept of fantasy artifacts/items. Really innovative! :)
Wow! Excellent polish and detail, and a clever puzzle.
I got befuddled sometimes when too many modifiers were in play and wound up playing it guess-and-check a few times. The simpler ones, I figured out algebraically, and that was much more satisfying.
This is a 5-star entry for sure, well done!
It's a really fun idea! I enjoyed the puzzles, I had fun playing it, my only complain is that the background is too dark, and it's hard to see the numbers
Really neat little puzzler! Some levels had me stumpe for a bit, but in the end I managed to clear it in 40 moves total (i did retry some levels after figuring them out to get a better score :P ). Finding the right solutions felt super satisfying (ah, but if i move this there i can do it in 2 moves!), and the graphics and sound gave the whole game a polished feel. One little tweak i would do is to show the weight of an object when hovering over, because at times it felt a bit tedious to work out the weight of objects by calculating all the effects that where applied to them, but overall its a super cool entry!
Very cute game, it gets more and more complexe and I love it !great job
Very nice game. I liked the idea of the modifiers that change the weights. Good job!
This is such a cool and innovative puzzle game, and I really love the interpretation of the theme. The level design is quite good, as the game takes the time to introduce mechanics and allow the player to understand them in the earlier levels, then asks the player to apply the knowledge they gained in later levels. Level 2 is a wonderful example of this, forcing the player to move 1 item off of an inverted space and another onto a heavy space, teaching them the function of both in one short level. Although I beat a lot of the puzzles in only 2 moves, it was still fun because of the underlying logic. I especially enjoyed level 13 as I thought that the solution was well hidden, but still discernable through the use of sufficient logic. Sorry for the rant, I just love puzzle games and yours was an absolute joy to play through (and I didn't even mention how amazing the art and sound design were! Your team's composer and artist are phenomenal!)
Love the art style and music! It's giving that pixelated fantasy vibe. Great work!
The art style is amazing! The idea is innovative and fits the theme perfectly, one of the best math game I ever played.
I think there is a bug with best moves, which always shows the moves I have made, I don't know if it is meant to save my best score ever, I think it would be more challenging if you hard coded what is the best possible moves, and maybe even give stars to the player based on how good they did at the puzzle, I did something similar with my previous game and players were obsessing with getting the perfect score lol
This is really fun! The simple concept of balancing weight is enhanced by various added mechanics, making for an enjoyable experience!
Gotta be honest. At first I was like "I guess this is cute/alright" but as the levels went on, and all the interesting interaction started appearing I was very pleasantly surprised! Very interesting way to make a math game engaging. kudos!
Good job, I like how the levels become more and more difficult and interesting, new objects and cells appear. Your team managed to make a really cool game out of "boring weighing scale". I will be really happy if you make new levels or the second part of the game after the jam.
