the choice of music, sfx, and fonts to convey your story and mood was perfect, chefs kiss. as a known hater of platforming games i liked how there were some guardrails in how the platforms were set up so i wasn't scared of falling to the bottom with every jump lol. for the longer sequences, i had some struggles with accidentally triggering some pixels i didn't mean to while getting to others. i powered through my skill issues and got to the ending which was sweet. loved this take on the theme and i think you executed the vision really well!
Pretty good for a first jam game. Once thing I would keep in mind for future projects is making the foreground easier to differentiate from the background, I got stuck for a bit in the first level because I thought once of the squares we have to visit was part of the buildings in the background.
Really beautiful pixel art and an enjoyable concept. The sound design was a nice touch, though the glitching did become grating. The text styles separating the characters were also a fun little surprise. Do I spy a fan of Thomas Was Alone? If so, you're in good company. Neat stuff!
Really nice art and sound design. I like the idea too - pixel which doesn't quite fit in to the surroundings. Interesting interpretation of the theme. I noticed this was your first jam, too - I hope you decide to enter more!
I love that you have a README (fill it out a little more; maybe with what's in your submission page and some screenshots). You'll also need a License file (main criteria for open source category).
"Any key to play" (mouse doesn't work). I love the turquoise colours (except it's a little hard to read Turquoise on white during the intro part). Found a bug too. On the first 0001101011011011010, I "jumped" and then was unable to move anymore (only jump). Sound effects are nice and subtle, the music is super chill (could play for hours). I loved the different colours and themes and graphics (might be a little hard for some people to read however). I really like that it's not just a platformer, you thought about the narrative and introduced the creative concept of navigating each stage in a certain way. Nice job!
Beautiful graphics
Very neat game ! Great concept
Great atmosphere! Especially the sound!
The text was sometimes disappearing a bit to fast for me. Or maybe my mind just works a bit slower.
Really cool vibe, very interesting puzzle platformer. I did get stuck after falling off a platform at one point and had to restart, but other than that great job!
Wow, graphics are beautiful, sounds also cool!
But its hard to remember where is the correct box orders, and where is the platform to jump, the outline is too small
Very cools vibes in this game, the graphics are gorgeous and the soundscape goes well with them. I did feel at times that the readability could be improved (the contours of the pixel 'places' weren't always very visible), but very impressive for a first jam!
beautiful art style and music, nice game)
Thank you! ^.^
A truly beautiful game!
I loved the backgrounds, sounds, music, story, simple graphics, and everything else! , Well done!
I'd really appreciate it if you could try out my game too, rate it, and share your feedback. It would mean a lot!
I really like the background pixel art alot. Great work!
Amazing that this is you first jam! the game has a very clear vision, and the narrative and the visuals support it very well! The only QoL I might change is giving the character a faster speed to complete the puzzles faster, and maybe use less turquoise in some backgrounds so that the platforms were more easily spotted. Great, great job!
Thank you!! :D I'll add tinkering with player speed to my post-jam fixup list. ^.^
The art style is amazing! I really love it :D
The story telling is so mysterious, and the moral of the story is a concept tha tresonates with me a lot, beautyful <3
Happy you enjoyed! ^.^
I really enjoyed the storytelling and aesthetics! The "Simon Says" mechanics were interesting but sometimes I wish I could restart manually when I forget the sequence. Also, I accidentally fell down the platform in one of the levels and had to restart the game.
I really enjoyed the mystery tone of the game, each level becomes harder and harder challenging the theme, and the narrator, gives me the chills! I love the way you set it upp
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it. :D
nice game
